Christian Walk

1)  01 07 13

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1 John chapter 2 verse 6

Lord Jesus Christ your word calls for those who belong to you by knowing you as Saviour and Lord to walk as you walked.  Lord you lived a perfect life so this is humanly speaking an impossible standard to reach.  Yet Lord you have provided the means for the standard to be reached. When we realise  that of ourselves we can do no good thing and that it is not ourselves who can do anything for you then you show us how we can walk like you.

Thank you Jesus that the Father sent the Holy Spirit to live a life like you through those who will let Him live His life through them. This is not an easy process for all that is in us which is of the old fallen nature has to be taken out of us and replaced by your own divine nature.

Thank you Jesus that as this is done our thoughts and words become like your own. No longer are we centred upon ourselves but upon yourself and like yourself live to serve others and for the glory of the Father.  Amen.

2) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 2 verse 4

Our Lord Jesus Christ when he had arisen from the dead but prior to his ascension had visited the disciples in the upper room. There he commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem but wait for the promise of the Father.

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptised with water; but ye shall be baptised with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 1 verses 4 and 5

Jesus was clear that the ministry of taking the Gospel to every creature and undertaking any other ministry was not to commence until the disciples were fully equipped. Why is it then that in our own day there is the belief that ministry and indeed any kind of service in the name of our blessed Saviour and Lord does not need follow the same conditions of dependency on the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It is acknowledged that there are many who do truly love the Lord Jesus Christ with all their hearts and minds and soul and strength and in the name of Jesus to minister to the needs of others. However, what is lacking, though, is that without the baptism of the Holy Ghost there is a lack of the authority and power which the Holy Ghost can release.

We need to be aware before I move on with this message that there are many counterfeits around. You will remember that when Aaron cast his rod before Pharaoh this turned into a serpent. Even the wise men and sorcerers of Pharaoh could copy some of the wonders but could only go so far. Their power was limited. The devil is a deceiver. He can copy to an extent the true ministry of the Holy Ghost.  This is likely to be sensationalism and will be a work which excites onlookers rather than be a deep work of the Holy Ghost. If you see a work which excites the flesh and the senses rather than bringing the presence and peace of our Lord then beware. Although I do not have a television it has been said to me that the television programmes on the God Channel should be avoided as these manifest The Occult. It is so easy to be deceived from thinking that something is a true work of the Holy Ghost by evil deceiving spirits which do not give Jesus Christ his rightful place as Lord of all.

The disciples waited in prayer in the upper room for the time when the Holy Ghost descended. They were in perfect unity and when the day of Pentecost arrived they were ready. We are told that suddenly there was a sound from heaven like a rushing mighty wind which filled all the house. It was further said cloven tongues sat upon each of them. Whatever was manifested on that day produced the evidence of the confirmation of the receiving of the Holy Ghost and this was that they began to speak with other tongues.

I remember clearly my own receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This was on Good Friday 1971 at The Assemblies Of God Convention in Preston, England. There was an invitation to go out into a side room and wait to receive the Holy Ghost. I cannot remember a rushing mighty wind or seeing cloven tongues but do remember a mighty infilling into my whole body of a power which shook every particle of my being. The evidence of the baptism was instantaneous as I could not stop speaking in tongues with a voice which was so loud worshipping my beloved Jesus as I had never done before. I found it difficult to stop praising my lovely Jesus and on returning home still could not stop praising in tongues and my parents thought I had gone mad. It is something quite beautiful to be able to praise the Saviour in tongues. Our Lord also speaks to us though the gift of tongues in meetings and services when an interpretation is given..  This is in places of worship and in denominations which accept that there is still such a thing as the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Sadly the baptism has been shunned by a vast majority of our day. This is not unusual as the baptism as evidenced by receiving the gift of tongues has been forgotten during other periods during the Church’s history.

One such period had been up to the early years of the twentieth century. I am in possession of a copy of a magazine called “Confidence.” This is the first issue dated April 1908. In this issue the Rev. A. A. Boddy who was Vicar of All Saints’ in Sunderland, England speaks that in 1907 he only knew of some five or six persons in Great Britain who had experienced the baptism in the Holy Ghost. By April 1908 this had grown to probably over five hundred. There were many who went to Sunderland to seek the baptism.  Amongst these was Mr Smith Wigglesworth who received a mighty baptism. This transformed his whole ministry. His preaching became with authority and power and he became a man mightily used in many countries to lead numerous people to Christ and also heal numerous people from sickness, even bringing some back from the dead. If you have not read about Smith Wigglesworth you do not know what you have missed.
I quote some words from a report by Smith Wigglesworth of his own Bowland Street Mission in Bradford after his own baptism in the Holy Ghost and when others there also started to receive the baptism. He says, “ Thank God we are in the midst of that which might be called the soul’s awakening. Those that were lifeless and helpless (having to be carried), are now full of life and prepared to carry others from the cold, indifferent, formal life to be red-hot, spirit-filled Saints, speaking and singing in tongues. They have clear witnessing power and discernment, and can be counted upon for any real, active, vigilant work. They are full of love and kindness, desiring, longing, earnestly seeking, and beseeching God to open the windows of Heaven and pour out a real Revival Power to awaken and shake England and the world.”

This same beseeching God to open the windows of Heaven and pour out a real Revival Power to awaken and shake the whole world has been taking place through me in the intercessory prayer of the Holy Ghost for some time. I believe this Revival Power will come after I have moved to become The Principal of Bible College Of Wales Continuing to be based at Rhos on Sea. Providing we who are connected with the fellowship of Pentecostal Holiness Church Continuing meet the conditions of revival then the Holy Ghost will come down and the revival which will reach the whole world will start in Wales.

The baptism of the Holy Ghost is still for today. On 8 June 2012 in a room above the furniture shop belonging Maundy Relief in Accrington, England I anointed Kenny Flynn and prayed for him to receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Kenny’s life had been ruined through alcohol and when I used to see him he was usually out of his mind. A few days earlier, though, Kenny had been brought to know Jesus as his Saviour and the transforming power of our blessed Saviour was there for all to see. Kenny was completely delivered and changed beyond all recognition. This is the transforming power of Jesus in action. Kenny received his Pentecost as this was evidenced in speaking in tongues. May Kenny like those mentioned in Smith Wigglesworth’s report go on to grow in his love and knowledge of Jesus and become a man mightily used by the Holy Ghost to win many broken lives for Jesus. The baptism of the Holy Ghost of Kenny had the sole witness of Stephen Taylor a former heroin addict who knows Jesus as his Saviour. Stephen already has the baptism of the Holy Ghost and with careful nurturing can become a man greatly to be used of God.

Have you received your baptism in the Holy Ghost? If not are you prepared to seek?

Lord Jesus Christ you are the centre of my life. You are more to me than anyone else or even the ministry that the Holy Ghost does through me. Can I ever thank you enough in time or eternity for all that you are and have done. Redeemed through your blood and cleansed from all stain of sin,; having your resurrection life flowing through us is the position of all who know you Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. Lord may all like Kenny and Stephen who do know you have a hunger and thirst to know more of you that only you can satisfy. Lord out of our bellies may rivers of living water flow. These rivers of living water are ours when we receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost. May there be many who will seek the baptism of the Holy Ghost in our day and be mightily filled as evidenced with the speaking in tongues. Keep from us dear Lord the counterfeit Jesus and the counterfeit Holy Ghost . This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to your holy name Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

3)  Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

Ezekiel chapter 3 verse 12

Lord God Almighty how we praise you in these last dark days in which we are living for the uplifting power of the Holy Ghost. Thank you O God for the Pentecostal experience of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in the whirlwind and the fire - the wind, the breath of God, and the fire of the Holy Ghost. Thank you Lord God for the power to commune with you and to live in your will and to know that the Spirit of Life is bearing us along, so that we move on with God, and you move on in us doing all things according to your will, and doing all things well.   Your will Lord is in the wheels of our circumstances, so that all friction ceases, and the atmosphere is clear between us and God. Thank you, too, Lord for the power and blessedness of the uplifts of the Spirit as Ezekiel realised them. Ezekiel was borne along irresistibly while he heard the voice saying, “ Blessed be the glory of the Lord from His place.” Ezekiel was in the heavenlies, Lord, as he was in the heavenly place of blessing. Lord, we too, can also know this place of blessing for your word says, “ blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”   Lord, although this place of blessing is open to all very few live in the heavenly places because no flesh can glory in your presence as this place is only open to those who have surrendered all to you and no longer walk after the flesh but after the spirit. Lord, you call us to be filled with the Spirit but who is prepared to be emptied of self in order to be filled with the Spirit. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to our God as it is asked in the name which is above every other name that of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

4) 27 04 13

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah chapter 57 verse 15

Lord God Almighty you are the high and lofty One.  You are the One who inhabiteth eternity.  You are the One whose name is Holy.  Lord when your Holiness is seen then we stand  silent in your presence, silenced by your Holiness and our own unholiness.   Lord there is no boasting or thinking of our own goodness when you are seen as all in all and that there is none beside thee.   In the light of your holiness we seek to dwell with you in your high and holy place when by your grace we see our filthy rags of self righteousness and seek your help.  Then Lord you give the contrite and humble spirit to revive the humble and contrite ones.  O the blood of Jesus which cleansed from all sin.  O the new resurrection life which  we received.  O the baptism of the Holy Spirit which filled those who sought to know the transforming power of God manifesting within us and outpouring in life and power.  O to know it is no longer our thoughts and words but Christ manifesting in and through us in the person of the Holy Spirit.   Then Lord we know revival has arrived in our souls as it is no longer I but Christ who is in total control as all is Christ centred and all that was previously self centred has died and Christ alone reigns within.   This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God.  Amen.

5) Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Spirit, set his eyes on him.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 13 verse 9

Jesus your name is above all other names in heaven and on earth. You have commanded that the Gospel is preached to every creature in the world. In the days of the early Church we can see that the Holy Spirit guided your servants Barnabas and Paul and through them brought many to know you as Saviour and Lord.

Through Barnabas and Paul the Holy Spirit also applied your victory on the cross over the devil to destroy all opposition to the spread of the Gospel. In your name Jesus the workings of the devil through Bar-jesus were destroyed. In our own day Jesus there is still opposition to the spread of the Gospel.

Whether this is through governments not allowing the Gospel message to be made known, evil groups attacking your people or evil demonic spirits causing splits within churches these are all from the devil himself. Jesus let us not be afraid to let the Holy Spirit apply your victory at the cross and to pray through us in your almighty name as Sovereign Lord of heaven and earth to destroy each work of the devil wherever it rears its ugly head.

Raise up more who will be used as channels of your power so that no evil demonic spirit will be able to stand in the way of your command being fulfilled. This prayer is to bring honour to your name Jesus as in your name is all the authority needed to see your words that you would build your Church come to fruition. Amen.

6)  The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; Because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

Isaiah chapter 61 verse 1

Lord Jesus Christ you took up the book in the temple and read these words, and impressed the fact because of the manifestation of the work which you were doing. Lord I believe that God wants to bring all who know you to a place where we know the Spirit of the Lord is upon us. Please Lord, bring those who have not got to that place to the fact of what you said in John chapter 14 “ I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.”

Jesus, it is because the Spirit came upon you who are our head that we must see that we receive the same anointing, and the same Spirit is upon us. Lord there are many evil deceiving spirits at work making out to be the Holy Spirit. Grant Lord that there will be a distinction between those who are members of your body, the true Church as those who have been crucified with you will always be in the anointing of the Holy Spirit and live a life which is a living sacrifice to the One who loved them and gave Himself for them. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to your holy name. Amen.

7)  And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 9 verse 6

Lord Jesus Christ you are the Lord of all those who say yes to you when you have stood at the door of our hearts and asked to come in. You never force us to let you in but silently await our response. What a gracious Lord you are: so different to the aggressiveness of present day society.

Your servant Paul shows us that as soon as he was willing to yield he was in a condition where God could meet his need; where God could display His power; where God could have the man. Lord it is the place of yieldedness where God wants us. Lord may you find people today who will meet the main thing which is obedience.

There are so many people in need of Yourself throughout the world that you stand and wait for our response to see if we will be obedient to what you want us to do. Prayer is something we can all take part in, Lord. May you find those who will pray for those who are in need of prayer. Lord, this prayer remembers those displaced people who arrive every day in Cairo.

These people have nothing and are trying to leave behind their horrific experiences and build a new life. Jesus, your heart is one of compassion and identifies with all in their sufferings. In your compassion, Lord, reach out to these people and not only see that they are met though emergency assistance and medical care but that they may come to know you as Saviour and Lord. This prayer seeks to bring honour to the name of our God. Amen.

8)  Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven

St Matthew chapter 16 verse 17

Lord Jesus Christ you are a living Christ. Lord you are the rock upon which God is building His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it Thank you, Lord, that God is building up His people in this faith so that we are living in great expectation. Praise you, Lord, that God is bringing us into a place with Himself where we can say, I have seen God. Grant Lord that your word will burn deeply into our hearts.

O God give us a living touch and a new inspiration of power and a deeper sense of your love. Lord Jesus may this revelation that you are Lord be known by all who call themselves Christian so that they can call you Lord. May all your people Lord be able to say “Thou art the Christ.” When we can say this, Lord, from our hearts it makes us know that we are not born of flesh and blood, but of the Spirit of the living God. Lord Jesus if Christians are to know real success in life it will be because of this knowledge, “Thou art the Christ.

9)  15 04 13

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you,  but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 13 verse 46

Lord Jesus Christ what holy boldness was shown by Paul and Barnabas.  When the Jews at Antioch expelled Paul and Barnabas from their coasts this was all joy to Paul and Barnabas as they had been counted worthy to have been persecuted for yourself.

Lord may this same holy boldness once more be seen in your servants.  Not the ungodliness which goes under the name of Christianity in most churches and chapels but a holy boldness from men and women baptised in the Holy Spirit.

Broken Christians who have seen their own ungodliness in the light of your holiness and been broken from every thought of self to manifest a living Christ to a world lost in trespasses and sins.  Send holy fire, Lord, to ignite holy boldness so that there is a clear difference between those who are filled with your life from the idolatry, superstition and devil worship which is said to be  the worshipping of yourself.

Lord call men and women who  will hear and obey your voice to be fearless, bold and  have a reckless faith to exercise their authority in you in order to destroy the works of the devil and call hell bound sinners to repentance and  to see mighty works of healing done in your name.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God.  Amen.

10)  And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

St Luke chapter 18 verse 7

Lord Jesus Christ faith is a living faith because it is centred in you as our rock which cannot be moved. Faith is determined that no one shall take away our crown. No matter what the tests or the opposition which seeks to weaken our faith we are strong in you dear Lord as we know that it is God Himself who will avenge us as we keep our trust in Him.

Lord how can we be deterred when we have a living Word which is quickened by a living faith. This faith is God rocked in man and man rocked in God. Lord may those who have such a deep identification with your own rejections and sufferings be so filled with the Holy Spirit that they can laugh and believe in the face of constant difficulties. Lord may we know that substance of faith wrought out by the will of God within us which is a living faith given by God.

This Lord Jesus is faith in your shed blood for God has respect for the blood. Jesus you are all we need. Faith is loyalty to you dear Jesus even when all around us seeks to crush life out of us. Glory to the blood Jesus for life is in the blood. Lord hear the cries of all who suffer each day because they have chosen to follow you whatever the cost for they know that your Word says that you will avenge them in your own time. This prayer seeks to bring honour to our God. Amen.

11)  22 06 13

So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

2 Corinthians chapter 4 verse 12

Lord Jesus Christ no one has suffered more than you.  When you set your face to go to Jerusalem it was in the knowledge that although palm branches were placed before you in great rejoicing you had not come as an earthly king.  The cross was your destination: death the outcome.

The creator submitting himself in humility so that death’s hold on sinners would be broken and an open heaven become the repentant sinners abode.  Lord what love you showed for you gave your life for our life.  You abated the righteous anger of a holy God who cannot behold sin.  Lord there is nothing superficial or cheap about Calvary.  It is not words that can thank you for all of time and eternity is before us to thank thee.  No Lord it is giving our all to you who gave your all for us.

O Lord in these days of superficial Christians, dare I say it that it has even been said that there are struggling Christians, where are the surrendered Christians?  Lord there is little comprehension of the rejection, pain, mocking and scorn for our God who alone could pay the price for our sin: sin which unless we repent and have it removed will condemn us to hell, a hell where all eternity is before us cut off from God forever.   Where Lord is the total commitment to the will of God and complete separation from the things of the world by those who call themselves Christian.

Does not your word, Lord, set the highest standards and call for those who know you as Saviour also to know you as Lord of their lives.  We should no longer be our own for our bodies should be the temple of the Holy Ghost for him to live his own life through us.  Then Lord thy victory at Calvary will be made known through fearless rather than weak, self- centred Christians.  The Holy Spirit when he is allowed into our bodies and makes them his own comes in with all the power of your risen life, Lord Jesus, and through us can constantly apply your victory over the enemy in the war with the devil and all his evil powers.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to thy holy name, Lord Jesus Christ for you are given all the pre-eminence.  Amen.

12)  17 06 13

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Micah chapter 6 verse 8

O Lord you are Lord; you are God.  There is none besides thee glorious in holiness, glorious in righteousness, glorious in purity, you alone are God.  Lord without thee we are nothing for sin ensnares the soul keeping the sinner chained, blinded to the creator, the redeemer, the only Saviour.  Lord where sin abounded your grace abounded more and provided the way to break the chains of our sin.

O Lord what mercy, what compassion to know that when we were yet sinners Christ died for the ungodly.  He who knew no sin took our sin and nailed it to his cross, that blood stained cross of Calvary.  Lord why is it that few in these days have the spiritual blindness removed from their hearts to see that your Son, Jesus Christ poured out his blood and died in their place so that on their repentance their sin not in part but the whole could be washed away?

O spotless Lamb of God, the only Saviour, it is only through your death and resurrection that sinners can be forgiven and receive a new life.  To be  born again is the sinners only hope of life, eternal life, a life filled with your own life blessed Jesus.  Not by works of our own can your demands be met O Lord, for of ourselves none can do justly, love mercy or walk humbly with thee O God.

It is only the Holy Spirit living his life, a life like that of Jesus, through those who have said I am willing for you to live your life through my body who can manifest a life like Jesus.  O God where are those in these days who have the Holy Spirit living through them at the level where he has changed their nature and motives so that they live entirely for him?  This prayer seeks to be in total commitment to the will of God and honour brought to his holy name.  Amen.

13)  28 07 13

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

Colossians chapter 2 verse 10

Lord Jesus Christ what a word we have here to confirm that we are complete in you.  Lord when we know you as Saviour and Lord you are able to take us into the deep things of God.   At a time when Christianity is often superficial and experience shallow those who are prepared to go all the way with you have the assurance through these words from Paul that there is no need to look anywhere else outside of yourself.

Lord many so called Christians are concerned with what they see and feel rather than walk by faith and learn how to walk as you walked.  It is as we enter into the fullness of your life that we find that we are complete in you for what else should those who know and love you need for you are life and there can be nothing more to add.

Above this to know that you are head of all principality and power has a finality about it for when someone is head then there can be no one higher than themselves. Lord this prayer gives you your rightful place as sovereign Lord as you are preeminent to the glory of God the Father.  Amen

14)  Prayer: 03 08 13

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Philippians chapter 2 verse 5

Lord Jesus Christ this word from Paul is so clear it is not a request but a command.  Lord have mercy upon the body of Christ in these days for living in such shallowness that your word O Lord is not made known in all its fullness let alone obeyed.  Lord open the hearts of those who know you as Saviour to have a longing to move out of the shallowness of modern day Christianity into the deep things of God.  Lord to do this your mind is needed, not the mind of human thinking, no, your mind, the mind which accepted humility and humbled yourself in death on a wooden cross having been despised and rejected of men.

Lord there is little or no conception today of what it cost you to save sinners from going to hell, that place of being cut off from God forever. May we be so filled with yourself through the indwelling person of the Holy Spirit and knowing His power filling our whole lives that we will be a people living completely for our God.  Yes Lord when it is your mind within us then we have your thoughts and our words are your words so filled have we become with yourself.

No longer earthly minded we leave behind the things of the world and walk in the heavenly places with thyself, committed to live only for the will of God where our entire lives are on  the altar as a living sacrifice.  This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God.  Amen.

15)  Prayer 20 July 2013

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Psalm 103 verse 12

Lord Jesus Christ you have won my love ever bit of it.  No one else has done what you did.  God became man in order to reconcile man with God.  Lord no one humbled themselves like you did that although the creator you submitted yourself into the hands of wicked men so that wicked men could be forgiven.  What a finality Lord when your finished work at Calvary can be said to have removed our sins as far as the east is from the west.

Thank you Lord that your blood availed for me and will still avail for repentant sinners for the Word declares whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Thank you Lord now and always for who you are and what you have done.  May my life be a living sacrifice poured out for you for your blood was poured out for me.  Lord may Christians today be drawn wholly into yourself and enter into the victorious life because  your death at Calvary led to your resurrection, ascension and glorification.

Not plagued by doubts, no never, going forward daily seeing your victory outworked through us for the glory of the Father.  This prayer seeks only to bring honour  to our God.  Amen.

16)  22 08 13

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.

2 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 5

This is a wonderful verse from Paul for this is the essence of the victorious Christian life.  A life where all has been crucified with Christ and Christ has become all in all to us through the indwelling person of the Holy Spirit.  Yet should this message be given to almost everyone who calls themselves a Christian it would be rejected for it goes right against what goes under the name of Christianity today.

Paul knew what he was talking about for should anyone have not needed to know that their sufficiency had to come from God alone this would have been Paul.   Here are his credentials which would be looked upon as not able to be matched by anyone else.  As far as mans’ standards went these were perfect and fit every possible requirement.

I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous towards God, as ye all are this day.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 22 verse 3

What a testimonial.  Here was a man who had everything possible to have in the religious world of his day.  He was a Jew who had learnt all it was possible to learn from the greatest teacher of the day.  Paul knew Judaism inside out. No one could match him humanly speaking.  His experience though up to the point where he met the Lord Jesus Christ on the Damascus road was theory.  Paul knew the law but was unable to fulfil the requirements of the law.  He was zealous of his religion and sought to preserve it from the threat of a new group who had become followers of Jesus.  There was no one in Judaism who could match Paul for teaching and understanding.  Yet when Paul met Jesus he knew here was not something written down to learn and try to fulfil for here was not something but someone.  As Paul had come to realize his encounter with Jesus on the Damascus road was the turning point of his life.  From the moment he said:

Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?

Acts of the Apostles chapter 9 verse 6

Paul’s life was transformed.  Here Paul had been brought into contact with a person who had fulfilled the  law which Paul knew of himself he could not fulfil no matter how well he knew the law. The following verse shows that the standard of fulfilling the Law is impossible to human nature.

Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Romans chapter 13 verse 10

Paul had met with someone who had fulfilled the law for Jesus was the love of God sent by the Father to die for the ungodly; to die for his neighbor.  This was something altogether different from the letter of the law with its “ Thou shalt not’s.”  Here was life in a person, the person of the eternal Son of God, the Lord of glory. Paul had met reality. He had come into contact with the creator Himself, the one who knows the human heart with all its sin. Yet in Jesus Paul had found God’s remedy for sin as Jesus had “died for the ungodly “ Romans 5:8 of whom Paul said he was the chief of sinners “ 1 Timothy 1:15.”

Paul had spent time in Arabia Galatians 1:17.  He did not confer with flesh and blood instead spending a time of deep preparation set aside with his new found Lord.  This was a time where he came to know Jesus as a living person who was more real than anything or anyone he had previously met.  Paul was being prepared for a ministry which would “turn the world upside down” Acts 17:6

Paul was to be transformed from chief persecutor to chief sufferer for had not Jesus said to Ananaias  that Paul would suffer for Jesus.

For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 9 verse 16

Paul entered into a whole new life as suffering for Jesus  replaced persecuting the followers of Jesus.  Instead of self- esteem and the praise of others came abasement and loss for Christ for Paul lost all for his Lord.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.

Philippians chapter 3 verse 8

What a verse Paul has given us here for it goes to the very depths of his experience of Christ and the price he had to pay in order to get there.  Suffering and loss were the price.  These are words which the majority of so called Christians today have deaf ears.  The words that the false church centers on are what people like to hear, words like love and anything which centers on improving the self -life.  This will never lead to a life like Paul knew, a life where Christ is at the centers because the Holy Spirit lives a life through the individual Christian like one which Christ would have lived had He still been on earth.  This is union with Christ where the “I” of self has gone to be replaced by the “He” who is Christ.

The message of  Christianity today in nearly every case is that self is sufficient to do the work of God.  Paul throughout his teaching shows us that self can never do the work of God.  Paul shows us just the opposite.  The human mind will never understand the ways of God for these can only come through revelation.  Paul received deep revelation which he has passed on.  Whilst the Christian Church almost everywhere considers itself to know better than Paul there will be shallowness. There will not be men and women who will stand out as being filled with the Spirit of God as was Paul, Joseph and Daniel.  The lesson to learn is that the self- life with its human thinking can never be sufficient.  Sufficiency only comes through having the life of God within us in the person of the Holy Spirit.  The self- life is corrupt to the core as it will always look for its own fulfilment and what benefit’s the person rather than what is for God’s glory.

It is still gloriously available to know the sufficiency of God like Paul experienced when we will meet the conditions.  These are to say to the Holy Spirit I am willing to be made willing for you to come and live your life in and through my body 1 Corinthians 6:19  and Romans 12:1. There is a price to pay, though, Romans 12:2.  It costs everything to go this way for the Holy Spirit will take out of your nature over a period of time all that is of the old self life and replace this with the divine life. This is a life which is real for it is a life which thinks, speaks and acts to manifest Christ to a lost world.  A life not without  a cost as just like Paul suffering and being treated as the off casts of this world will be a reality. Who is prepared to hear God speaking today and then dare to act?

17) Prayer: 02 11 13

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James chapter 3 verse 17

Heavenly Father may the Lord Jesus Christ be enthroned in the whole of  the life of each one who belongs to Jesus so that all things are seen from above and not from below.   When the Holy Spirit so lives His life in and through us then the life of Jesus is manifested.  The more of self is replaced by the divine the more of ourselves is pushed out until only Jesus remains.

Heavenly Father ever bring your people to this place where the life of Heaven is seen on earth through those who have become so like Jesus.  Lives lifted from the gutter of the devil to become jewels in the crown of Jesus, the only one who loved them enough to die for them, the only one who could conqueror death for them, the only one who ever lives to make intercession for them.

A people on earth who have that of the other world, your realm of Heaven, O God who already indwells lives  on earth as Jesus the creator, the redeemer, the only Savior dwells within those  through whom the Holy Spirit is living as a person a life like Jesus had He still been on earth.  Heavenly Father grant that others are found who will accept the scriptural way to this deeper way of life.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God.  Amen.

18) Prayer 25 11 13

I the LORD search the heart.

Jeremiah chapter 17 verse 10

O God your Word is so clear yet there is a reluctance in these days to obey your Word.  Over the centuries holy men and women of God have realised the need for you to search their hearts.  How otherwise would they have become holy.

The heart is wicked until cleansed through the blood of Jesus and reconciled with a holy God.  Even then the heart can still be selfish and centered upon self rather than God-centred.

The Psalmist, though, was prepared to go all the way with yourself as he asked you to make a full examination of his heart.  What a deep surrender to your searching gaze is before us in his words “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts.”

O God how otherwise can we walk in the heavenly places until our hearts are in a right relationship with yourself.  Lord when we realise what is being offered to us is not a loss but a gain we will be prepared to lose all which keeps us from walking in heavenly places with you.

Lord ever search my heart and keep my heart continuously clean.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God.  Amen.

19) Prayer 26 December 2013

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians chapter 4 verse 7

Heavenly Father what assurance there is to know that there is a peace which passes all understanding.  This is a peace which comes from you for only the peace which comes from the loving heart of God can bring peace to the soul.  This is the peace which you have provided in your Son Jesus when through His death on the cross He reconciled repentant sinners with a holy God.  This peace can come no other way for the world cannot provide peace for in the world there is tribulation.

Thank you Heavenly Father that when there has been reconciliation with yourself through the blood of Jesus there is a glorious entrance into the life of God as found in your Son Jesus.  A life of daily dying to self and a daily increasing of the life of Jesus within us as the Holy Spirit brings about a daily changing.  As we go on further by presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice, an offering unto yourself, we enter more fully into the peace of God which fills our hearts and minds no matter what the outward circumstances may be.

Truly in Jesus we can say we can live a life of perfect peace.  This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God.  Amen.

20) Prayer: 05 February 2014

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

St Luke chapter 24 verse 49

Heavenly Father just as thy Son Jesus was dependent upon the Holy Spirit during His ministry on earth so may thy people realize that they are nothing without the Holy Spirit.  Jesus knew what faced His disciples when He left them to return to be with you Father.

Flesh and blood could not do thy work neither could flesh and blood withstand the destructive power of the forces of Satan.  The glorious triumph of Jesus at Calvary, however, meant that a greater power is available to thy people.  Father you heard the prayer of Jesus and sent the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost: a day which brought the Holy Spirit to be available to all who provide Him with their bodies.

O to know the indwelling Holy Spirit living a life in us, one which Jesus would have lived had He still been on earth.  May thy people seek thee to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit so that a life reflecting that of Jesus can be shown through them for thy glory.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor to your holy name.  Amen.

21) Prayer: 12 March 2014

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

St Luke chapter 24 verse 49

Heavenly Father will you at this time open an understanding of the baptism of the Holy Spirit in these days when the majority of Christianity is devoid of power.  Change the course of the battle to win souls to Christ and take the gospel to every creature by there being a willingness to obey the Master’s call to receive power, that power which comes from thyself in the person of the Holy Spirit.

Lord take away the blindness and hostility towards both the person of the Holy Spirit and the receiving of the Holy Spirit.  Then O God the enemy of souls entrenched both in the Church and withstanding the spread of the gospel will be given massive setbacks.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God for this is asked in the name which is higher than any other name that of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

22) Prayer: 02 April 2014

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth

Colossians chapter 3 verse 2

Heavenly Father you are all in all. You had no beginning and will have no end. You are the Almighty God and besides you there is none other. You inhabit eternity. You are enthroned in splendour and glory. From everlasting to everlasting you are God yet in thy mercy you seek fellowship with your creatures.

What a God we have when we acknowledge you in your holiness, your righteousness and your purity. Lord in a world which no longer accepts the reality of God may your remnant Church still remain faithful to all that is contained in the Bible and the doctrines which have been the pillars of the Christian faith down the centuries. In days when the enemy has come in like a flood may the Holy Spirit drive back the enemy of Satan wherever he seeks to interfere in human affairs and blind souls from coming to know thy beloved Son the Lord Jesus Christ. On the basis of the victory of Calvary when the blood of Jesus destroyed the works of Satan cause even in this dark hour souls to seek thee and find life in Christ.

Then Father God your reality will be known again when a mighty move of revival power sweeps thy Church and in doing so may its wave reach beyond the Church to convict sinners of their sin and through repentance bring sinners to seek forgiveness through justification by faith and not by works.

In doing so the great pillar of Satan through the false church of justification by works will be pulled down and Christ alone given His rightful place as Lord of all.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God. Amen.

23) Prayer: 23 April 2014

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature

2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17

Glory and honor, power and blessing be to you blessed Lamb of God. Lord Jesus Christ life is found in you for you are Life. When your blood was shed as you were nailed to the cross on Calvary’s Hill this was for the joy which was set before you. There was only one way to reconcile sinners’ with a holy God and you as God took the sinner’s place. Sin in all its defiance demanded the judgement of God.

In the wrath and judgement of God you became the sinners’ mercy seat. Lord you accepted death in order to triumph over death and were raised for the sinners’ justification. Lord Jesus may there be a fresh awakening of the need to be justified by faith alone for salvation, trusting only in your blood for forgiveness. In days when salvation is often not taken seriously by simply telling someone to say sorry or the signing of a card may there be a return to deep heartfelt conviction of sin. Lord Jesus to be in you is a revelation of yourself to be a totally new creation, not trying to improve the same human nature but receiving the divine nature.

This prayer is asked of you Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus that you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

24) Prayer 04 August 2014

Thy prayer is heard

St Luke chapter 1 verse 13

Lord God you heard the prayer of your servants Zacharias and Elizabeth in their longing for a son even when Elizabeth’s womb was withered and Zacharias was an old man. It was their earnest and persistent prayer which would not take no as an answer which prevailed. Zacharias and Elizabeth took hold of your great and precious promises contained in your Word and made them their very own.

They asked, they asked again and continued to ask until you could withhold their request no longer and the granting of their request was for your own glory. Lord God your hand is not shortened that it cannot work in our own day. Your promises in your Word are exceeding great and precious. How glorious these promises are to your believing saints those who have had their sins washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ and now belong to Jesus Christ. Those who have been born again having had their sins forgiven and the power of sin broken in their lives.

The redeemed of the Lord O God come with singing, come with rejoicing, filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit. In these days of unbelief in God and where prayer is not taken seriously for the lack of unction and power is the sign of a prayerless church, Lord God teach us thy way. Lord God the promises of thy Word are the fruit to be picked by the hand of prayer. May they first be sown and tilled and watered by persistent, believing prayer which gives you your rightful place as all in all. This prayer is for the glory of thee alone my Lord and my God for this is asked in the name above all other names that of your Son the Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.

24) Prayer: 01 12 14

The Place of Power

Hebrews chapter 4 verse 16

Father may all who know you as Father because they have been reconciled to you through the blood of your Son Jesus rise into the place of sonship. In the days of the early Church believers sought unction from on high and not entertainment from men.

Father there was a living relationship with the Living God, a relationship of worshipping you in Spirit and in truth. There was none of most of what is called evangelism today which is none other than a craze for entertainment and can never bring glory to a holy, righteous and pure God. Father the early Church knew the secret of power from yourself for there was separation from the world and sin. There was a boldness to come to the throne of grace as there was living within the veil finding the deepest longings of the heart being fully satisfied in God alone.

Father you have provided the meeting of all our needs as these have already been obtained by Jesus. May the Holy Spirit show believers that all that they need in life is received as a gift through Jesus. This is the place of separation, the place of power and has nothing to do with the old self life to which each believer should be crucified. Father Jesus has won my love every last bit and He is my Life for He gave His Life when He took my place on the cross to die for my sin. Jesus what a privilege to know that I am a branch in you, the Living vine, the Living God.

Father this prayer is offered in the name above all names for your glory, the name of Jesus. Amen.

25) Prayer  03 15

Ephesians 3:17 King James Version (KJV)

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.

Heavenly Father it is when Your Son Jesus Christ becomes the whole of our life as He is sought for Himself only then it is realised that He is in us and we in Him. Then we can call You Abba Father. No longer is there a longing to seek anything else for we breathe Him in and ourselves out. Jesus alone is now our life as He satisfies us with Himself. This prayer is for You to receive the Glory due to Yourself. Amen.

26) Prayer 16 03 15

I am that bread of life.

St. John 6:48

Lord Jesus Christ it is You we need. We see in the Word of God the Word Himself which is Yourself. “Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses.” “Himself bare our sins in His own body on the tree.” Jesus it is Your Person we want.

Lord so many Christian ministries and churches have a message which centers on the self-life and fails in getting You into the lives and spirits of those who listen to these messages. Lord in these days of deception and false teaching may it be seen that it is not ideas or doctrine but Jesus Himself as the Life and source who alone needs to be the sustaining presence of all of our life. This is asked so that the Father will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

27)  Prayer 03 04 15

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, saying, Father, if thou be willing remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

St. Luke 22:41-44

O God can we ever understand the cost to your beloved Son Jesus on that night of His betrayal? The cry from His heart is heard in our hearts as He faced the greatest battle this world has ever known. The battle of the ages when Satan tried to kill Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane to try and prevent Him going to die on Calvary’s cross. The cup was a bitter cup which only Jesus could drink from, the cup of the Divine accepting the sinner’s death. A cry of giving up His own will.

A cry of seeking your help so great was the conflict, so overwhelming the powers of evil unleashed that night. What agony. What anguish the dear Lord Jesus faced. O God you heard the cry. You saw the anguish. You sent an angel to strengthen Him. All because He knew and accepted that His hour had come, the hour when He set His face to the cross. O God may we who know that we have been saved by grace through the cleansing blood of Jesus go beyond the song which speaks of “a sinner saved by grace.” The sacrificial death of Jesus would have not been a complete work should when we have repented of sin and been cleansed by Jesus blood we are still to be looked upon as sinners. Your word says “as far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

O God what blindness is put before your people. The repentant sinner is forgiven now and seen as never having sinned for Jesus now indwells those who have been cleansed by His blood and He does not live within lives who still have sin within them. O God open hearts to see and accept the finished work of Jesus through what He accepted to be done as your will in Gethsemane, Calvary and His glorious resurrection. Amen.

28) Prayer 07 04 15

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians 1:26-27 (KJV)

Heavenly Father great is your mystery made known through the person of your Son the Lord Jesus Christ. How this has been hidden down the ages until Jesus came into the world to show the love of God in accepting the penalty of sin which is death. Even though God, in His humanity He became the sinner’s substitute so that repentant sinners can be not only forgiven, they could receive the Life of God into their own lives. Father no wonder that nearly all Christian denominations look to hide this mystery from those who should belong entirely to your Son for they look to have control for their own selfish gains rather than letting the believer know their inheritance in Christ.

The mystery is that Jesus should be the whole of the believer’s life both spirit, soul and body. What a transformation comes to the believer who knows that they have been bought with the price of the blood of Jesus and are no longer their own. Father may the Lord Jesus whisper to every believer the secret of your mystery which is “Christ in you.” He rather than things becomes our whole life as He who is Life is the Source and Sustaining Presence of every part of our life which is now in union with Himself.

Father may those who are seeking prayer because they see themselves as having a separate life from Jesus be brought into this revelation of your Word. What joy, what peace, what Life when from the hour we know it is “Christ in you” not only are our spirits worshipping you in spirit and truth, our souls are filled to overflowing with your love for others and when we receive Him as our whole life even our bodies are made strong and well. Heavenly Father may the norm of teaching of Christianity no matter what denomination come into line with your Word of “Christ in you.” The prayer is asked in the name of your Son Jesus and for your Glory alone. Amen.

29) 29 04 15 Prayer

1.Jesus causing division.

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division.

St. Luke 12:51

Lord Jesus Christ these words came from your gracious lips. How true though they proved to be. During the time of your earthly ministry you were hounded by the religious of the day who were filled with their works of self-righteousness. Lord these are words of warning which have been evidenced as true down the centuries. Divisions in families, with former friends and rejection by the religious of the day. Lord you called those with little learning of this world like Smith Wigglesworth and filled them with your Spirit to do your work through them. This confounded the religious of the day as men and women of simple faith living in surrender to thee were used to do mighty works of saving souls and healing the sick. Lord I too am a simple soul wholly given over to you. May you take of me and all like me who are prepared to surrender their lives wholly to you and still do your work in these days to confound the religious spirit of self-righteous so that the Father receives the glory through you. Amen.

2.Knowing the Father.

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

St. John 15:15

Father thy word shows that we have not been given the spirit of bondage again to fear. How often you are portrayed as being someone distant who cannot be known as a friend. The friend of sinners your Son Jesus brought those who were once sinners to know you as Father having had their sins washed away through His own blood and made a new creation in Christ. Salvation is Christ in us. He is not a separate person living outside those whom are His. Now in Jesus all who are His are yours. This is fellowship and fellowship is freedom not bondage. Bondage is of the Devil: freedom is of yourself. Freedom to enjoy yourself. Abraham was your friend. Moses was your friend. Each one who Jesus calls a friend is your friend. Father lift the hearts of your people to see the fullness of the life you have for them in Jesus. A life of joy and peace. Your people can often seem lifeless, dull and serious instead of overflowing with Life as given and received in Jesus. Amen.

  • The Royal Priesthood

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

1 Peter 2:9

Lord God what joy for thy people to be called a royal priesthood; a peculiar people. For they that know that they belong to you, know that they have been bought with a price, the price of the blood of thine own Son Jesus. May they never forget that this cost Jesus every last drop of His blood, royal blood of the King of Glory so that they could be brought out of the darkness of the Kingdom of Satan. May those who know that Jesus lives within their heart also know that their life is now part of the royal priesthood for Jesus is our High Priest as well as our King and each believer becomes a priest unto God. Lord God may your people come into all their inheritance in Christ by the revelation of having direct access to thyself through Jesus as the Divine Mediator and Divine Intercessor living within their hearts. O Lord God remove all barriers which blind thy people from knowing their life is in Christ and no longer needs others to act on their behalf for the way is open for them to come to thyself in their own right. Lord God the glory and honour is yours and yours alone for this is asked in the name above all other names, that of Jesus. Amen.

30) Prayer 04 05 15

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

1 John 4:17

Father God what positional truth is found in this verse. Truth which you want to be made known to the royal priesthood of believers every living stone of each individual who belongs to your Son Jesus. Nothing here of those of the church system of the sons of Eli who seek to control others instead of teaching your Word in all its fullness that a Christian is someone who has Jesus living His life in them and through them.

Father God you rejected the sons of Eli system and replaced this with the sons of Zadoc of whom Jesus is the fulfilment. Father God cause those who have come to belong to your Son Jesus by being born again into a new kingdom, your own having been set free from their old master Satan and his kingdom. Instead of being controlled by others set them free to know that Jesus Himself is the Life and Source and sustaining Presence of all our life.

Only then can these words of being as He is in the world be fully understood. May you alone be given the glory as this is asked in and through Jesus.  Amen.

31)

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification and redemption.

1 Corinthians 1:30

Father in your Son you have provided all that is needed to live a holy life. This life is in your Son Jesus Christ who has already obtained this life by what He did on the cross at Calvary and through His resurrection and ascension.

He is now at your right hand having all authority in heaven and in earth. May all who have received forgiveness of sin as a gift in Christ come to know how to receive sanctification, which means holiness of life as a gift also in Christ and every other gift in Christ so as to receive all the fullness of God.

Our lives will then become separated from the world and wholly at your service to be used for thy kingdom and for thy glory alone. This prayer is offered in Christ for your glory. Amen.

 32)

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

2 Timothy 1:12

Father those who know you will have no doubt that when they believed in your Son Jesus as their Saviour and Lord they are certain that He will keep them until you call them unto yourself in heaven. Storms of life may blow, persecutions will be many yet Jesus has promised to keep us until the end. In these last days when to be a Christian means to be rejected, to be despised, set apart for yourself those who know whom they have believed and are certain that their feet are upon a rock, the rock Christ Jesus who lives within all who are His.

Bring us Father to the place where we will receive the crown of life. Of this we are certain when we know who we are in Christ for God is in us and mightily forming a new creation by His Spirit in order to make us ready for the glory which is to be revealed through us by the indwelling Jesus.

All to your glory Father. Amen.

33)  Prayer on Faith 30 05 15

And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

2 Kings 1:10

Father Elijah was a man set apart for yourself and your Kingdom. He was bold, he was fearless in his stance against the evil of the time. When king Ahaziah who had sinned in his seeking after other gods had sent the captain and his fifty to come and capture Elijah then your prophet was not moved by what he saw. Elijah had the fire of God in his belly. He believed his God.

He acted for the honour of his God. Because he stood unmoved against the evil of the day as he knew he was a man of God and placed his trust in you that you would answer his bold proclamation. Father you did not fail, you could not fail to stand by your servant. In these days of rebellion of most of which calls itself Christianity purify those who like Elijah know their God so that they will also be set apart for yourself.

Men and women saturated in the Holy Spirit who as flames of fire by seeking and receiving the fullness of God will by their lives and words be used to draw sinners to the cleansing fountain of the blood of your Son. Father when as is evidenced in these days that it appears that nearly all have turned away from yourself then you keep a remnant ready to be used in the next reviving move of the Holy Spirit.

Strengthen our faith to ask and believe to see at work on a greater scale the bringing sinners of to repentance than has ever been known. This prayer seeks that the Father will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

34)  Positional Truth Prayer

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 7:2

Father what an intercessor we have in your Son Jesus Christ who ever lives to make intercession for those who belong to Him. Christ alone in us is the hope of glory. Even now whilst on earth as we remain in your plan for our individual lives there is the assurance that in Christ you have given all that is needed to fulfil every last detail of your plan.

Not only saved to the uttermost, also to be vessels to your glory. As we rest in that perfect rest of waiting daily upon the Holy Spirit then both the prayerful intercession of your Son at your right hand and by His Spirit within us too, every moment will be lived out in your perfect will as we seek the Kingdom of God and your righteousness.

This prayer is offered unto you, Father, as a sweet-smelling savour through Jesus Christ our Lord and for your glory alone. Amen.

35)  Overcoming

And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

2 Kings 6:16

Almighty and Everlasting God grant us thy servants to see as thy servant Elisha saw when all seemed lost, all seemed overwhelming in the natural. Before your servant Elisha were a great number who had come to capture him. Natural vision viewed a difficult situation as overwhelming.

Spiritual vision recognized God’s powerful hosts of heaven as outnumbering the enemy. O God in these days when wicked, evil spirits are seeking to defy every known Christian principle and trying to prevent the gospel being made known send your angels to do your bidding and protect your Word, your Work and your Honour. This is asked for your glory and your glory alone. Amen.

36)  Holiness

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

Ephesians 1:13

Heavenly Father our hearts rejoice that we have trusted, we have believed, we have received a full salvation for all has been freely given in your beloved Son Jesus Christ. The Word of truth came from above embodied in the person of Jesus Christ for there is no other name given among men whereby we can be saved. Thank you Heavenly Father for the seal of the Holy Spirit who witnesses with our spirits that we are born of God.

May those who are thine be set apart by yourself in holiness when the Holy Spirit is given full access to fulfil His work to change lives so that the scripture ‘be ye holy for I am holy’ is not theory, it becomes a living reality in lives which are now wholly thine own.

May this prayer be for thy glory alone as it is offered in the name higher than any other that of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

37)  25 06 15

Prayer on the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2:11

Heavenly Father how dependent we are on the Holy Spirit to make known to us the deep things of God. Of ourselves we do not even know how to pray. At Pentecost, though, you sent the promised Holy Spirit whom thy Son, Jesus Christ had said you would send when Jesus Himself returned to heaven.

Heavenly Father may we as Sons of the Most High God seek to be guided by the Holy Spirit in all things, even the deep things of God. As we acknowledge that of ourselves we are nothing He will live His life in us, a life like that of Jesus, a life which He will reveal day by day more of the abundant life of living water gushing out from us as Jesus said would happen to those who receive His life.

May this prayer be that you heavenly Father will be glorified in the Son for it is asked in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

38)  Prayer on the humility in Christ or the praise of man.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Philippians 2:3

Father God is these days where are those who have humility? Your Son Jesus Christ showed humility like no one else when He humbled Himself unto death, even the death of the cross. Ministry today is often those who want to be in the limelight, seeking the praise of man.

Where are the people who want only Jesus to be magnified? Father may you find those who will not try to get in the limelight, those who do not want the credit, rather accepting to be in the shadows, praying for others.

May the people who want only Jesus to be magnified go forth in your power so that their light will shine and Jesus receives the credit and the glory.

This is asked in the all- powerful name of Jesus so that Father you are glorified in the Son. Amen.

39) 15 05 15  Prayer

Have I been so long with you and yet hast thou not know Me?

St. John 14:9

Father may we see that the whole discipline of life is to enable us to enter into the closest possible relationship with your Son Jesus Christ. Before Pentecost His disciples had known Him as the One who gave them power to cast out demons and heal the sick.

Although this was wonderful there was a much closer intimacy to come, one of being called friends. Thank you Father that this intimacy is still available today. For this is to be identified in thought and heart and spirit so that Jesus can lead today’s disciples on.

Father may the present day disciples come to receive that intimate friendship with Jesus so that they will never leave an impression of themselves but only the impression that Jesus is having His unhindered way because they are satisfied by Him.

Father this prayer is asked in the name which is higher than any in heaven or on earth, that of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

40)  Prayer - The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts of the Apostles 1:8

Heavenly Father what a promise was given by your Son before He ascended back to heaven. A promise to be believed and acted upon. A promise which is still on-going in our day for this promise is still available to those who are prepared to act in reckless faith and go against the unbelief of the New Theology, Modernism and Liberalism of that which calls itself Christianity and Church. A Christianity and Church which mostly refuses to believe and act upon your Word.

Father there are still billions throughout the world who have not yet heard the gospel. What are you going to do about this?  There is disobedience to seek and receive the baptism of being fully immersed in the Holy Ghost. Without the baptism there is no power to witness.

Stir afresh a burden for reaching lost souls and for the power of the Holy Ghost in those who have presented their bodies a living sacrifice to receive the Divine power from on high. The same power of the Holy Ghost as seen in your Son and sent on the day of Pentecost to take hold of ordinary men and women and transform them into the extra-ordinary power of God.

Men and women fearless and bold with one purpose to reach the unreached and see the greater works done which your Son had said were to be expected. Father this prayer is asked and the answer received in the name above all other names that of your Son Jesus Christ so that the Father shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

41) Prayer - Holiness

God resisteth the proud but giveth grace unto the humble.

James 4:6

Heavenly Father in these days when there is so much talk about a need for revival may those who know your Son as Saviour be determined to receive holiness of life.  Much of what calls itself Christianity and church is full of pride for there are those who are concerned with their own selves rather than what your Word teaches.

There is a pushing forward of their own selves instead of knowing the humility as shown in the life of Jesus. Father may there be a revival of seeking holiness of life for there is found true humility. This is the place where Jesus alone is magnified.

This is the place of revival for when you have those you can trust because they seek not the glory for themselves, it is then that the humble shall go forth in your power. To you be all the glory Heavenly Father for this is asked in the name of your Son Jesus Christ so that you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

42)  05 08 15  Prayers -

1.The position of authority over the devil

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12

Father God arouse the royal priesthood of believers to see the position of authority that they have in your Son Jesus Christ who lives and reigns within those who are His. The constant victory over the principalities and powers of the devil and the rulers of darkness of this world is assured because when Jesus died on the cross He cried ‘it is finished.’ His death and resurrection ensured that His life became the life of those whose hearts have been cleansed from sin and delivered from the power of the devil. O God cause those who are filled with the Spirit of your Son to know that they are victors in Him because the wrestling in prayer is spiritual.

It is against spiritual powers of the devil yet because the power of the victorious Son of God is in His blood already shed then time after time your enemy the devil has to give way. O God may the Holy Spirit guide each day your intercessors to tear down through Jesus victory wherever the devil is interfering in human affairs. Wrestling continually because of the intercessor within them the Spirit of Jesus, the Jesus who triumphs every time because He made an open show of all the works of the devil. Father to you be the glory for the kingdom of heaven is still being built in these days of evil for it is built on the rock of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • The truth of God’s Word

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:4

Heavenly Father may there be a making known in these days the truth of your Word. Truth can and does get forgotten as the philosophies of men look to replace the never-changing Word of thy truth. Father there is need at this time to restate what you had said which are the principles of life, divine life in the human. One of the truths which has been forgotten in these days is that of entire sanctification.

Restore O God the teaching of the burial of the old life in order for the way to be open to receive your gift of entire sanctification. These words Father mean a life set apart for God, a life free from sin. This life of the burial of the old life and the raising to a new life, a life in Christ used to be taught many years ago. In these days of the self-life philosophies of men and women may these be shown to be shallow for they cannot lead to the deep things of God.

Bring many to this position of death to self in these days instead of continuing to strive in their own strength looking to improve the old life instead of dying to the old life, the old nature and being raised into a new life the life of Christ. As your Word speaks of ‘this is the will of God, even your sanctification’ may the Holy Spirit open those who are Christ’s to see that it is your will to enter into sanctification. A life that is clean, a life that is holy, a life which is what you demand and make provision for as this life is to be received as a gift in Christ, a new life which starts and grows as it continues on from the time of conversion.

This prayer is asked with full assurance that it has been heard and answered for it is asked in the name above all others that of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and so that you, Father, will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

43)  06 08 15  Prayers

1.Casting out devils.

In my name shall they cast out devils.

St. Mark 16:17

O God what authority is found here, the authority in a name. The name which is higher than all others, the name which devils fear and fly, the name of God the Son, Jesus Christ. It is in these days that we need to have our faith strengthened. O how we need to know God. O God you have made full provision for the casting out of devils wherever they look to interfere in human lives.

Just as Jesus Christ exercised His Divine authority whilst on earth so may this continue in these days by His Spirit who lives His life through those who have been baptised in the Holy Spirit. O God use the cleansed vessels of the Holy Spirit to believe and who will take hold of their authority of reigning with the supreme being so that through Jesus Christ the works of the devil will always be overcome as devils are cast out wherever they manifest themselves.

As your Word says, Father, this prayer is asked of you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

  • On the Christian life

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 2:5

Father God is it still possible in these days still to have all the mind which was in Christ Jesus? This must be so for He ascended into heaven so that you could send the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit who lived within your Son whilst He was on earth. The same Holy Spirit who outworked the works of God. Jesus came to make known God by His life. As God the Son He knew the mind of God. Has anything changed Father?

Surely not for your Son is still upon earth living within the lives of those who are His by His Spirit. So where He lives so must His mind be to guide into all truth by the Holy Spirit. Father remove the obstacles caused by a failure to teach the truths of Biblical Christianity these days.

Truths which make known what the Christian life is, a life where Christ lives and in living there so must be His mind too. This prayer is offered to you in the name of your Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ so that you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

44)  Prayers - 04 08 15

Prayer. The still small voice.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will, go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Isaiah 6:8

Almighty God the words of ‘who will go for us’ were overheard by Isaiah. You did not speak them these words directly to him. This shows us that the call of God is not for the special few for your call is for all who will hear and respond. O God in these days may you still find those who will come into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Those who ears are open to you and hear the still small voice of ‘who will go for us.’  As we let the Spirit of God bring us into something like Isaiah experienced may we also be open to hear and respond to the still small voice and say with perfect freedom ‘Here am I; send me.’ O God this pray is asked that you will receive the glory which is yours alone. Amen.

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

2.

Prayer of no compromise.

I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

Isaiah 43:11

O God what a word of supreme authority is spoken here. A word which will not compromise with other faiths. A word about not just a saviour for this emphatically declares that you are the only saviour for you alone are the LORD. How blinded, how deceived are those who call themselves Christian yet have compromised with other faiths for these faiths do not have a saviour who can deliver from sin, who can bring forgiveness of sin into troubled hearts which no other faith can do.

O Saviour, blessed Saviour, I cry unto you that even teachers of other faiths will be given the opportunity of finding forgiveness of their sin from you. Even those who are so devoted to their own faith yet a faith without a saviour. O God have, mercy, have mercy so that the blood of Jesus Christ will be accepted as the means of reconciling repentant sinners with the only LORD, the only God for He as God laid down His life so that all who receive Him as Saviour will not only receive eternal life, they will know for certain they will go to heaven for their Saviour now lives within them.

O God this is boldness of asking in confidence that as this is asked in the name of your Son Jesus Christ you will not say no, cannot say know for this is asked for your glory. Amen.

45)  07 08 15

  • Prayer: God’s Fire

His word was in my heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones.

Jeremiah 20:9

Almighty God your prophet had your fire in his heart, a fire which consumed him and compelled him to deliver your message at all costs. He knew what it was to be despised and rejected for his message was your message, a message rejected by those who should have responded to its call. In these days what is missing Lord? Surely it is messengers with not just any message but your message from your never changing Word. A message delivered through men whose hearts are on fire with your Word as this too is shut up in their bones.

A message which burns, which consumes the dross and the rebellion within those who call themselves Christian but want to follow their own plan and live their own lives instead of laying their lives on the altar as living sacrifices to yourself. O God take hold of me to call down the fire of the Holy Spirit so that the flame of God will catch hold of others today to rise up and demand that you act to honour your name as you did in Jeremiah’s day. Thank you Lord that this shall be so for this is asked in the name you cannot deny that of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • The Divine in the human

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1 John 2:6

Heavenly Father may there be those who seek to receive all that you have to give them of the life which is in your Son. A life of walking uniformly as he walked. For He is not just an example to be followed, He is life itself. When we have Him we have life. When we have Him we will walk as He walked. Yet there is a spirit which brings false teaching for it has a belief that your Son can be imitated and His life copied through human nature.

Father sweep aside this false teaching and may the Holy Spirit show that only Christ can live the Christian life, only He can walk as He walked. In your divine purposes you have made provision for the divine to live in the human. For through your Son you have reinstated the divine life of fellowship which was lost through the sin of Adam. Where sin abounded grace did much more abound.

It is this grace given through the life of your Son Jesus Christ which enables those who know they are His to walk as He walks for He lives as them, in and through them in holiness, to the glory of God. All the honour, praise and glory be unto you Father through your Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

46)  11 08 15

  • Prayer for God’s consuming fire.

For our God is a consuming fire.

Hebrews 12:29

O God how we need your consuming fire to sweep through that which calls itself church today. Coldness and formalism full of human thoughts instead of making known the gospel according to the written Word of God. No fire because there is no Holy Spirit for He can only work through the cleansed heart. O God whatever happened to the glorious truths of the gospel being preached in the anointing of the Holy Spirit?

Yet it is not unexpected for those who are not born again of the Spirit cannot receive the Holy Spirit. Why O God is the call to repent rarely heard? It is as though to call sinners to repent is seen as unacceptable to respectable political correctness which is the philosophy of men and women instead of accepting the proved ways of the Divine, inspired, infallible Word of God. O God send the fire of the Holy Spirit once more into the hearts of men and women who will not compromise your Word and dare to go against the trend of political correctness and call hell bound sinners to repent of the sin which they think they do not have in their nature.

O God send the fire, send the fire. This prayer is asked through the name you love to hear that of Jesus Christ, the name to which you cannot say no. Amen.

2.The call of God comes through our relationship with Jesus Christ

But when it pleased God …. To reveal His Son in me.

Galatians 1:15-16

Father God your call is not one to any particular service for our contact with the nature of God has made us aware of what we would like to do for Him. It is the call of God which is expressive of His nature and service is that which is fitted to our nature. Paul knew that it pleased you for him to preach Jesus Christ amongst the gentiles.  This service overflowed from Paul’s devotion to His Lord and Saviour.

In these days too may there be those who are brought into a relationship with Jesus Christ that they will understand the call of God. Then they will do things out of love for Him. For when we receive the nature of God and hear His call the two can work together.

Show me Lord that when the Son of God reveals Himself in me that I will then serve Him in all the ordinary ways of life out of devotion to Him.

It is for your glory that this is asked through the name above all other names your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

47)  20 08 15 Prayer - DARE TO BELIEVE!

What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

St. Mark 11:24

Heavenly Father where is the belief today to still take hold of these words of Jesus and act upon them even when what we are praying for is humanly impossible? In days where unbelief in God’s supernatural workings is a curse in western society as even that which calls itself Christianity looks to shut God out. O God may there be those who will dare to believe so that Jesus will shut the devil out.

Heavenly Father this prayer dares to believe that by believing glorious answers are still for today. This is asked in the name above all other names that of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen.

48)  01 09 15  Prayer

Fire blazing through us in supernatural power.

There rose up fire out of the rock and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes.

Judges 6:21

Almighty God you called your servant Gideon into your service. A most unlikely choice by the world’s thinking as even Gideon saw himself as the least of the least. Yet you had your purpose for Gideon to be the man through whom you would turn your people back to yourself and overcome their enemies.

What an example Gideon gives as he did that which was asked of him by the angel and placed the offerings of flesh and unleavened cakes on the rock. For as the angel put forth the end of his staff fire rose up out of the rock and consumed the sacrifice.

What confirmation to Gideon of the acceptance of not just the offerings placed on the rock but also the acceptance of Gideon’s life as a living sacrifice unto God. In these days of dryness and barrenness and lack of the supernatural Lord find those who like Gideon will place their offerings on the altar for you to be living sacrifices which are acceptable to you.

Then, Lord, we have the expectancy, the believing, to see your holy fire consuming us and your fire blazing through us in supernatural power to show that God is still at work. For your glory alone is this asked Lord through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

49)  04 09 15  Prayers

  • Those who must know their God.

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

Psalm 62:5

Almighty God what in these days of the instant and rushing from one thing to the next is so forgotten? It is waiting only upon God. This is a great privilege yet how many are prepared to draw aside and shut themselves in with your Word and seek to hear from you or who will respond to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit to come aside and hear what He has to say? It is so sad that there is little expectation to hear from God in these days.

O God have the days of the still small voice which was in times past called the ‘inner witness’ gone? Surely not for your Word says ‘I am the LORD I change not.’ Draw aside to yourself once more O God those who are in earnest, those who are expecting to hear, those who must know their God. Then because of the time spent waiting upon God you shall be able to use them in fulfilling your plan for their lives because they will know your plan. For your glory alone is this asked through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • Making room for God.

But when it pleased God.

Galatians 1:15

Father God may each one who is your worker learn to make room for you. Often we forget to make room for God to come in as He chooses by asking Him to bless our own plans instead of seeking to know His own plan. Help us to look for you Lord rather than to come in any particular way. By looking for you we then make room for you. We will then expect you to come in your own way and your own time.

By keeping our lives in constant contact with you Lord there will always be an expectancy for God to come in as He likes. Thank you Father that our confidence is in you for this is asked in the name above all other names that of your Son Jesus Christ so that you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

50) 07 09 15

  • Being rightly related to Jesus Christ

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is , and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

St. Matthew 6:30

Heavenly Father may the words of Jesus be made simple to our understanding for they are not always easy to follow. It is by the receiving of His Spirit and recognising our need to rely upon Him and obeying Him that He will help us to understand the Word of God and make life simple. There have been times when we have gone back in spiritual communion because we have thought we have known better than Jesus.

Help us Father to be rightly related to your Son Jesus Christ at all times so that we will obey His Spirit always. It is when we refuse to grow where you have put us that we are drawn away into other things which cause anxiety and distress. Help us Father to continually separate ourselves to consider God in all things every day of our lives. Heavenly Father this prayer is asked through the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified through Him. Amen.

  • Refining us a pure gold

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Job 1:12

LORD God the allowing of Satan into your presence is almost beyond our understanding. However, even in this you had a purpose. It was you LORD who gave Satan permission to put Job through a fiery trial, a trial in which he lost all yet one in which he would not be moved and deny yourself. Job came through this trial with a stronger faith than had he not gone through the fiery trial. He was refined in the intense heat just as is precious metal.

Yet the fire was your own even though Satan was your refining instrument. LORD may we too see that even in these days you allow Satan to come against your people and your plans. Yet in all of this you in your Sovereignty always will turn Satan’s schemes to further your own plan. LORD it is with this confidence that whenever we are going through fiery trials we are not to blame Satan but see you at work refining us as pure gold.

Also even on the international scale that those who come against your plan for the gospel to be heard by every person in this world shall be overruled for your glory.

LORD God this prayer is asked in the name which you cannot deny, that of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

51)  Prayer - 08 09 15

Warning against the cares of this world

Take no thought for your life.

St. Matthew 6:25

Father God may all who know you as Father accept the warning that the cares of this world with the deceitfulness of riches and the lust for other things will all choke what God is putting into their lives. These are always coming against those who are yours whether it be money or lack of money, food or clothes, friends or lack of friends there will always be that which will look to distract our trust of you.

Father may we recognise these distractions from trusting you and allow the Spirit of God to raise up the standard against them. This we can do, this we will do, when we are careful for the one thing which our Lord Jesus Christ says which is our relationship to Him. For He knows our circumstances better than we do. Help us Jesus to keep our minds on the much more of our Heavenly Father and only believe.

Father God please hear this our prayer offered in confidence in the name of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

52)  11 09 15 - Prayers

  • Speak Lord

And Samuel feared to show Eli the vision.

1 Samuel 3:15

Almighty God just like Samuel may we say ‘speak Lord.’ For here is a most wonderful relationship for life which will become a romance with our living Lord Jesus who has won our love every bit of it. Instead of being negative and defeated when circumstances press upon us may we always say ‘speak Lord.’ How vital it is to realise that amidst all the rush and push of everyday living it is to make time to listen.

As we do learn to listen our ear will get acute and like our precious Jesus we shall hear God all the time. O God help us to make this not just a possibility but a living reality of daily experience. May we too having heard from you never ask the advise of anyone else about anything. For we need to be aware that should we ask advise upon the matter it can lead to siding with Satan on the matter.

Like your servant Paul before us may we not confer with flesh and blood. O God this prayer seeks to bring glory to you for it is asked through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

  • The storms of life

Master, master, we perish.

St. Luke 8:24

Father in the storms of life you have given your Son Jesus to be the means of overcoming the storms.

Through Jesus you have given life, the life of God living within those who have been born into the kingdom of God. Father when we have Jesus we have peace for He is our peace. It is not that we ask to be taken out of the storms of life whatever form they may come. No for the storms make us dependent on Jesus for then we can see that He is our life.

When we see this we no longer look for the sympathy of others for we have found our overflowing source of supply. The source within us, those rivers of living water, the life of the creator and continuous enabler Himself. This prayer is asked through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord so that you Father will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

53)  Prayer - 18 09 15

  • Faith

Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master’s table.

St. Matthew 15:27

Father a woman of Canaan came to Jesus to ask Him to have mercy on her daughter who had a devil. Jesus, though, told her that He had only come to the Jews. This woman was not put off. She did not give up. She brought before Jesus that which amazed Him. She spoke of crumbs from the master’s table being eaten by the dogs. Jesus could not refuse the woman’s request.

He accepted this woman’s great faith and granted her request. Her daughter was made whole. Grant O God such faith today. A faith which will go through every time. A faith which believes and says it is done. A faith which is of God because God lives within us when we are one with His will. O God in these days bring more into this deepest relationship of being one with yourself, the deepest life available whilst on earth. This prayer is asked and the answer received in the name above all other names that of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • The reality of redemption

For Christ sent me not to baptise, but to preach the gospel.

1 Corinthians 1:17

Father God your servant Paul states that the call of God is to preach the gospel. May we remember that this is the reality of redemption in our Lord Jesus Christ. How we thank you Father for your Son who travailed in redemption to redeem the whole world and place it unimpaired and rehabilitated before the throne of God.

May we realise that redemption can be experienced by us so that we can know the power of the reality of redemption but even then this is not the end of redemption. For when we touch redemption as the bedrock of the reality of the gospel of God we shall never again keep coming to God with our self-centred prayers. In these days, Father, may your servants be like Paul and welcome heart-breaks, disillusionments, tribulation so like Paul we will be kept in unmoved devotion to the gospel of God.

This is asked Father through the precious name of Jesus so that you shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

54) Prayers 02 10 15

Joy is of God. Happiness is  Satan’s counterfeit.

I delight to do thy will, O my God.

Psalm 40:8

Father your Son Jesus shows what it is to delight to do your will. Your will became His joy for during His earthly ministry His joy was to be absolutely self- surrendered and self-sacrificed to all of your will. The world speaks about happiness yet this is not joy. For joy is that which is within the hearts of those who are absolutely abandoned to all of your will just as is recorded about the life of Jesus.

When Jesus is all of our life because we are one in union with Him then we have His joy. For how could He be the root of the vine from which the branch receives life and we as branches in the vine not receive His life all the time? Father send by your Spirit revelation from the Bible in these days to show that the believer does not have a separate life outside of Jesus as He is their life.

When He is the believer’s life then there will be joy when He has won our love every part of it. Nothing no nothing is then withheld and your will becomes our delight. For your glory, for your glory Father, this is asked through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

  • Being made one with Jesus

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

Heavenly Father are we prepared for what to be sanctified will cost? In these days where the Christian life is not taken seriously then the term ‘sanctify’ is taken too lightly. For the cost will be an intense narrowing of all our interests on earth. Instead there will be an intense broadening of all our interests in God. This has to be so for sanctification means the intense concentration on God’s point of view.

All of our powers of spirit, soul and body chained and kept for God’s purpose alone. O God can you still find those who are prepared to separate themselves to God even as Jesus did?  O God bring an understanding in these days of shallow teaching and a christendom which devalues your Word to once more be challenged that sanctification means being made one with Jesus so that which ruled Him will rule us.

Who then is prepared for what that will cost? For it will cost everything that is not of God in us. For your glory alone, Father, this is asked through the name above every other name that of your Son Jesus Christ Amen.

55)  06 10 15  Prayers

Separate a people unto yourself.

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

Hebrews 11:8

Father Abraham was the first man to receive the call of God. He had been born into a people who were idolaters. Yet when he heard the call to leave his country and his people he obeyed. He took the step of faith and believed the God of the living and left behind all connections with the dead gods of idolatry. Abraham by taking this step of faith turned his back on the world. Father it is by faith that we are saved and not by works.

May the doctrine of faith as seen in Abraham’s obedience be re-established in preaching in these days of an unbelieving Christianity. For this is faith in the atoning blood of your Son Jesus Christ to cleanse repentant sinners from all sin.

Call out Father and separate a people to yourself who are a people of faith and reject those who still retain their idols of self-works because they love the world rather than God.

Grant Father this prayer which is asked for your glory through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • A tremendous treasure

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things.

Isaiah 40:26

Almighty God your prophet Isaiah called upon the people to look up at the heavens instead of at idols. It is in nature that we see that there is a tremendous treasure. The wind which blows, the sun which shines, the crops which grow speak of your faithfulness.

In these days there are still idols even amongst those who call themselves Christian. These are idols which centre on ourselves or our work. In this there is then our imagination of God which is starved and when difficulties come our way there is no power to endure in the darkness. O God it is you we need and not an experience at these times. Show us how to get out of ourselves and into a relationship with yourself which we have never before been in.

A relationship of true vital union with your Son Jesus Christ where we are one with Him because He has all of our life and His life flows out through us in compassion to all we meet.

O God this is asked in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord so that at all times you shall receive the glory which is due to you. Amen.

56)  Prayer - 13 10 15

The discipline of darkness.

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light; and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

St. Matthew 10:27

Father help us to understand that there are times when you will put us through the discipline of darkness in order to teach us to heed God. When these dark moments come may we keep our mouths shut and look to wait upon you to show us your way. May those who are at present going through such moments rest in you knowing that the dawn comes after the night for the light of day must follow the dark of night.

So it has to be true in the spiritual life. The darkness, though, is given by yourself as an opportunity to listen and then to act. Keep us Father ever trusting that these periods are sent by you to deepen your work in us. So at times like these let us not turn to seek the sympathies of men and women but wait until you speak for you will speak for our life is no longer our own when it is hid with Christ in God.

Let us receive with joy the opportunity to see that we are no longer our own having a separate identity to Jesus. It is at moments when all seems dark that we will experience those dark moments like Jesus went through when He said ‘not my will but thine be done.’ Then we will be as Jesus is in this world. This prayer is asked that you, Father, may be glorified in the Son. Amen.

57) Prayers 15 10 15

  • That I may know Him.

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.

Philippians 3:10

Father in your Son Jesus Christ you have given all that is needed for a life of fellowship with yourself. There is nothing in addition to Christ that is needed for a full and complete salvation. For life is in Him. On the authority of your Word, the Bible, is found the final authority for there we find full and unshakeable authority. Jesus is the Word according to the Bible. In the written Word we see the one who is called the Word is a person who we can come to know and receive into our lives. God the Son who sits at your right hand, Father.

O Father in these days may there be that reaching out by grace alone, by faith alone and in Christ alone to know Him of whom Paul is speaking of in this scripture verse. Father may your Word the Bible be the final authority instead of the traditions of men which because they look to add to that already given in the Bible are keeping souls from coming to know Him who alone can give salvation.

Father what a tragedy that the traditions of men which keep the chains of sin in the hearts of men and women are condemning these lost souls to all eternity without coming to know Him who is life eternal. Father in your mercy restore your Word in the Bible as the final authority for salvation for this is asked for your glory through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • Responsibility

For none of us liveth to himself.

Romans 14:7

Father your Word shows us that we have a responsibility for other souls spiritually before God. Those who know you as Father are part of the body of your Son Jesus Christ who is Head of His Church. May each member of the body of Christ come to see that their privilege is to “sit together in heavenly places.” There is a lack of teaching the glorious truths of your Word about what should be the believer’s position in Christ.

Not only a position of privilege but also a position of responsibility.  May we not be slack by being selfish through being self-conscious instead of God-conscious. May we be given wholly to God and in doing so we will also have on our hearts the needs of others who are part of the body of Christ.

This prayer is asked and the answer will always be received for the confidence is that as this is asked through your Son Jesus Christ and for your glory it must be so. Amen.

58) Prayers 19 10 15

Thy will be done

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves , stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you.

2 Chronicles 20:17

Father how overwhelming the people of Moab and Ammon looked to King Jehoshaphat as they came against him to battle. Because your servant Jehoshaphat had brought your people to obey you as they no longer worshipped heathen gods you heard his prayer. He saw that you were even in control of the heathen nations as they could not defeat your people unless you gave them permission. In this instance your permission was withheld and you alone defeated them.

Father what about that which is taking place in these days as hordes of peoples who do not know your salvation in your Son Jesus Christ are sweeping into Europe. People who could go to other countries of their own religion with the wealth to keep them. Are these hordes sent of yourself to give them the opportunity to hear the Gospel and be brought to repentance and the cleansing away of their sin through the blood of your Son?

Should this be so then we can stand still and see the salvation of the LORD. If not then LORD intervene and overrule for this is interference by the devil in human affairs to try and prevent the Gospel being preached to every creature. Father thy will be done here on earth as it is always done in heaven. This prayer is asked through the intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

  • God’s answer to depression

And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, arise and eat.

1 Kings 19:5

Almighty God the angel told Elijah to go and do an ordinary thing in telling him to get up and eat. Elijah had been depressed just like any other human being is capable of depression. By being capable of depression then there is capacity for exaltation. Let us remember that when the Spirit of God comes He does not give us visions, for He tells us to do the most ordinary things. Depression can turn away from the ordinary things of your creation.

Let us remember, though, that whenever God comes it is to give the inspiration to do the most natural and simple things for He is in them. As we do them then we will find that you are there Lord God. O God may we learn to trust, to rest, in you and move on to the next thing and by doing this in the inspiration of God we will find that the depression has gone. As we arise and obey just as Elijah did then we shall enter a higher plane of life.

O God this is for your glory for this is asked through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

59)  27 10 15 - Prayer

The need for revelation

Thou art the Christ.

St. Mark 8:29

Father what revelation was given to Peter an ordinary and an uneducated man. When Jesus asked Peter ‘whom do men say that I am?’ he gave Jesus the reply that ‘Thou art the Christ.’ How could Peter have known this? What, Father, we find is that all the education in the world and to be an intellectual person was not needed to come to know Jesus’ true identity. Father it is as though it was an advantage for Peter to be unlearned.

For who could know unless this was revealed? The Pharisees and all the religious of Jesus time would not accept Jesus as the Christ for they looked from the human point rather than seeking Divine revelation. Thank you Father that it is to those who ask that it will be given to see that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. The one whose name of Jesus Christ is the only name by which repentant sinners can be saved.

This is why Father there is confidence that the uneducated throughout the world can have the opportunity to be saved. It is a matter of the heart and not the head and the revelation of Jesus as Saviour is day by day bringing souls out of religions without a Saviour from sin into a living relationship with the living God. Thank you Father. This prayer is for your glory as it is offer and the answer already received in Jesus name. Amen.

60) Prayer

Always in the spirit of prayer

And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

St. Luke 5:16

Father there is need in these days to understand how central prayer is to maintaining the essential flow of your Spirit into those who have been regenerated. For to be born again by receiving your life through repentance and the gift of eternal life by the cleansing away of our sins through the blood of your Son Jesus Christ is only the start of a new life.

Jesus although God the Son showed that whilst on earth He needed to maintain the vital link of prayer with yourself. When Jesus depended daily upon prayer how much more does every one of your children need to follow His example. In an age when the world looks for everything in life to be instant and soon over your children should not be drawn to copying the ways of the world.

Prayer is the link which maintains the life of God within the believer so Father stir up your children to be always in the spirit of prayer. For without prayer the heart soon grows cold and there is the drying up of the rivers of living water the Holy Spirit upon whom the life of Jesus continually flowing into and pouring out of the child of God depends. Receive the glory Father through your Son Jesus Christ in whose name this prayer is made. Amen.

  • The inner witness

But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

St John 14:31

Father your Son Jesus had said many wonderful things to His disciples. Yet instead of letting them go away and meditate upon what He had said He called upon them to ‘arise and let us go hence.’

Likewise when we spend time quietly waiting before God because He has placed on our hearts to come apart then we are right to meditate before God to get into line with what He wants. Let us, though, be aware not to give way to dreaming when we know what to do. For it is then that we need to obey because dreaming after God has spoken shows that we do not trust Him. Father in these days where there is a reluctance to wait on God restore this means of communication to our hearts so that which was known as the inner witness becomes part of our life of through the indwelling Spirit of your Son within us.

This prayer is asked in the name of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

02 12 15  Prayer

The supreme authority of faith.

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Revelation 2:5

Fallen, fallen, how are the mighty fallen. Father how this is seen to have become so with the Anglican Church of England. Once the Protestant Reformed Church which under Queen Elizabeth 1 had nothing whatsoever to do with the Satan infested anti-christ Church of Rome with its paganism and traditions of men which refused and still refuse to place the Word of God, the Bible as the supreme authority of faith. Father the Church of England is infested with liberalism and unbelief. It has embraced the harlot of the Church of Rome and rejected its calling under God to have nothing to do with the Church of Rome.

Father are you displeased? Is your Divine anger about to be unleashed? What does the Sovereign God say? Is this not to come out from among them and be ye separate? Thus saith the Lord I spew thee out of my mouth ye apostate Church of England ye shall fall, ye are no longer the Church I set up for ye have rejected my love and have turned to another whom I do not know. I do have a remnant though like the evangelicals who remain faithful to me in the sea of the filthiness of liberalism. It is these who shall be my Church as they obey my call to come unto me and be set apart as part of the royal priesthood of believers. Father you have spoken through the Holy Spirit now bring this to pass through Jesus Christ our Lord so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

  • Know God rather than speak about God

And he withdrew himself into the wilderness and prayed.

St. Luke 5:16

Father your Son knew how vital prayer with yourself was to the whole purpose of His coming into the world. Your Word speaks of your love for the world yet this love had to be seen and to do so this had to be in a person with whom people could be identified. The identification was that those who were thirsting and hungering for God found someone who made the teachings not just about God but of a living witness of God. A witness which had life. A life through whom the life of God healed the sick and cast out evil spirits from those who were demon possessed.

This life, Father, was constantly given out and needed to be constantly refreshed. This refreshing was in coming aside and spending time with yourself to receive a fresh supply to be given out to those who were in earnest with God. Those who sought the living God rather than being satisfied with the dead and unsatisfying religion of the day had found a source so different from their previous experience. Father may in these days there be the experience of God within our lives continually so that we know God in Jesus Christ rather than speak about God. Let us realise that this comes from following the example of Jesus to withdraw ourselves and be refreshed, for prayer is at the centre of our lives. This prayer seeks that you Father will be glorified through Jesus Christ in whose name this is asked. Amen.

Assurance

For they know his voice.

St. John 19:4

Father what an assurance there is to know the voice of your Son Jesus Christ speaking to our hearts through your Word as found in the Bible. There has been none other who could call Himself the good shepherd. He alone could be the door whereby the sheep can enter into the dwelling place of God. For it is through His one perfect sacrifice of Himself on the cross that there can be forgiveness of sins. Not only forgiveness of sins but the root of hereditary sin having its root removed from the repentant sinner.

A new heart, a cleansed heart and the entrance into the sheepfold when the great shepherd of the sheep comes to take His rightful place in our cleansed hearts. Father there are still those who will never hear the voice of the good shepherd for they are not His sheep and do not want to be His sheep. Some rely on their own works or on what a church says. These have no part in the kingdom of God for they hear and obey the voices of false shepherds who lead them to hell where the good shepherd does not live.

Father ever more draw hell deserving sinners to the cleansing of the blood of the good shepherd Jesus Christ to accept the pardon of sins and victory over sin through the gift of eternal life given only by yourself in the person of your Son. Father may you be glorified in the Son through whom this prayer is asked. Amen.

The Christian life

Without me ye can do nothing.

St. John 15:5

Father how often it is said ‘I am doing this or that for God?’ Jesus, though, says just the opposite for He says, ‘without me ye can do nothing.’ Much that calls itself Christianity is based on works which are none other than self-glory looking to say ‘look at what I have done.’ How different Jesus shows what is God’s way. Jesus is the vine and those who are His are the branches. He is the life-giving sap which flows from the root into the branch.

Without the sap from the root there is no life. Father may this simple truth of the life of the Christian being none other than your Son Jesus Christ living His life in and through those who are His revolutionise Christian thought and that this will become the normal Christian life. Then, Father, there shall be the humility of Jesus Christ flowing through those who are His bringing His life to whoever is touched by Himself through us.

This prayer is asked through the name which has all authority in heaven and earth, that of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer 08 02 16

Sanctification

Whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are ye not carnal?

1 Corinthians 3:3

Father there is not a natural man who will know anything about carnality. For how can a natural man understand the things of God whereby the flesh lusts against the Spirit which came in at regeneration for it is the Spirit lusting against the flesh which produces carnality?

It is Paul who says ‘walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfil the lusts of the flesh.’ On this basis Father then carnality will disappear. For when sanctification is being worked out then there will be no trace of the spirit of carnality left.

Where there is still carnality the Holy Spirit will detect anything which is wrong and to accept His light on the matter and let Him put it right. Put right through confessing the wrong so that God will put this right rather than seeking to justify the wrong according to self-justification. Father it is a most real thing imaginable to know carnality has gone for I have become the most amazed person at what my God has done for me on the inside.

Father this prayer is brought before you for your glory alone as it is asked through your Son Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

Prayers 15 02 16

The Normal Christian Life

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

St. John 15:4

Father being in stride with you is nothing less than union with thy Son the Lord Jesus Christ. How wonderful, how marvellous for it is through Redemption that I was born into the kingdom of God. Not of works so that no man can boast. By grace as a gift given from your loving heart Father, the gift of forgiveness of sins by yourself in response to the request for my sins to be removed by the cleansing blood of your Son Jesus Christ.

What peace, what joy, when the weight of sins are lifted upon repentance and Jesus came to take His rightful place. Father, though, that was only the beginning of a new life. Now it is life in its fullness because when I came to accept that I could not of myself live a life pleasing to you then I surrendered all to you so that I became a branch in the vine who is Jesus Christ. Now day by day through the ordinary things of life it is being in stride with your perfect will for your perfect will is none other than union with thy Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Father to thee be all the glory for this prayer is brought to you through the Lord Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

  • Born Again

I am crucified with Christ.

Galatians 2:20

Father in these days when salvation is often made to look easy because it is not according to your Word in the Bible keep those who are yours because they know they are saved true to your Word. For your Word shows that no one is ever united to your Son Jesus Christ until they are not only willing to relinquish sin but their whole way of looking at things.

To be born again from above of the Spirit of God means to let go before we can lay hold of the life of God. Father let us see that Jesus wants us to present to Him real solid sin for that is all that He can take from us. Father what He then gives in exchange for our sin is real solid righteousness. Let pride not stand in the way for we must relinquish all pretence of being anything that is within us as being any claim of being worthy of God.

Total dependence upon God for all we receive is by grace. Help us Father when there is a question of relinquishing to go through the crisis and relinquish all then God alone will make us fit for all that He requires of us. This prayer is asked and the answer received through Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

Prayers 28 03 16

Union with Jesus Christ Himself

God so loved the world that He gave.

St. John 3:16

Father grant a revelation and revolution of the truth of your Word in these days of unbelief and at best a shallowness of the life you have given through your Son Jesus Christ. How there is a need for Bible teachers to know the truth themselves then through the Holy Spirit’s anointing reveal this truth. Truth which speaks of salvation as not merely deliverance from sin nor the experience of personal holiness. Truth which speaks of the salvation of God as deliverance out of self entirely into a union with Jesus Christ Himself.

Salvation which means more than deliverance from sin and personal holiness in our experience. Salvation is far greater for the Spirit of God has brought me into touch with God’s personality and now have something far greater than myself. I am caught up into the abandonment of God. Father may your preachers today be brought to proclaim Jesus Christ so that those who come to Jesus Christ will have their whole life taken up with Him as the one to whom they become abandoned so taken up with Him have they become.

For these words ‘God so loved the world that He gave’ show that God gave Himself absolutely. Father this prayer is asked through your Son Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

Full of Faith and Power

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

Acts of the Apostles 6:10

Father this record is of thy servant Stephen who was full of faith and power and did great wonders and miracles among the people. These were done by the Holy Spirit working through Stephen on the authority of both the power of the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus. Stephen was a man of God because he was wholly given to God without a thought for himself. He believed that nothing was impossible with God and that is why there were great wonders and miracles. Father as thy servant in these days I too believe that nothing is impossible with God.

You are still the God of miracle who is alive because the same Jesus who worked in and through Stephen works through me. Bring me into contact with all those you want to be healed and those who seek to be delivered from demonic possession.

Through me too bring tens of thousands to yourself through the preaching of your Word. Father this is asked and the answer received already for it is asked in the name and authority of your Son Jesus Christ who you will never refuse.

This is for your glory Father as you shall be glorified through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer 18 04 16

An Empty Vessel

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be acceptable of him.

2 Corinthians 5:9

Father ever keep before us the master ambition of ever being an empty vessel through whom you can do your work. Day by day, month by month and year by year ever, only, yielded to you.

Not ambitious to win souls or plant churches or to have revivals but being ambitious of one thing only and that of being ‘accepted of Him.’ Father may your people realise that it is not lack of spiritual experience that leads to failure but lack of labouring to keep the ideal ambition right.

Teach us your way Father, ever open to reviewing where we are at and whether we are keeping up with the standard you wish. For then we will know when we are the tiniest degree away from the central one of being ‘approved unto God.’ This will keep us from the prospect of ‘may end in our being castaways.’ Father by your Spirit help us to discern where the master ambition leads.

Then we shall know why it is so necessary to live facing the Lord Jesus Christ. Is my master ambition to please Him and be acceptable to Him or is it something less than total abandonment to Him who loved me and gave Himself for me? Father this prayer is asked through the One who sits at your right hand, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayers 25 04 16

Loyalty to Jesus Christ

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

St. Matthew 5:11

Father very few of us know anything about loyalty to Christ. It is the ‘for my sake’ which makes the iron saint. Whether we are at the front line of being despised and rejected for Christ or we are hidden in a life of prayer there is still the opportunity to know what the reality of ‘for my sake’ is in our lives.

The outworked experience is that the husk of my independence of God has been broken. In place of independence is the emancipation of my personality into oneness with Christ Himself.

Then there is no longer my own ideas but absolute loyalty to Jesus Christ Himself. Thank you Father that the break came when I gave up and surrendered to Jesus Christ without any conditions on my part. There then came the break from self-realisation and the supernatural identification and witness of the Holy Spirit that ‘I have been crucified with Christ’ and that it is no longer I but Him who lives within. Him living within Father will always be identified ‘for my sake.’ For your glory Father this prayer is offered through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • A life which believes God

He went out, not knowing whither he went.

Hebrews 11:8

Father in the Old Testament a personal relationship with God was shown in separation. Abraham shows how this worked by his separation from his country and those who he had lived amongst. In these days separation is more of a mental and moral separation from the way that those who are dear to us look at things. That is to say they do not have a personal relationship with God.

Father just as evidenced in Abraham faith never knows where it is being led. However faith loves and knows the leading of the Holy Spirit. This is a life which is the opposite of the religion of secular humanism. For this is a life of faith not of intellect and reason. It is a life of knowing Who makes us ‘go.’ Therefore, Father, the root of faith is the knowledge of a Person in contrast to the teaching of that great snare of the idea that God is sure to lead us to success.

Father may we ever be led along the road of faith even to reach the final stage of attainment of character, a life of walking and not fainting. A life which like Abraham believes God. This prayer, Father, is asked through your Son Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

Prayer 20 06 16

Boldness of Faith

When Jesus heard these things he marvelled at him.

St. Luke 7:9

Heavenly Father your Son looked for faith whilst He was on earth. In this account of the centurion who had a servant who was sick and near to death He found one who had faith. This centurion had a boldness of faith not seen amongst the religious teachers of the time.

May I too have that boldness of faith knowing that I am filled with the person of the Holy Ghost because of the mighty baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire .Show through me that healing is still for today when faith in the finished work of the atonement of Jesus Christ is believed and acted upon.

This is asked through the name above all other names your Son Jesus Christ and the power of His blood. It is done. Amen.

04 July 2016 Prayers

Faith

Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

Acts of the Apostles 14:10

Father in Paul can be seen the authority of thy Son Jesus being outworked. A certain man at Lystra had never been able to walk. However, when the man heard thy Word being declared he became filled with faith. Paul recognised that this man had faith to believe that he would be healed.

Then the miracle took place as the man leaped and walked. Father I expect you to bring the needy ones to me with their prayer requests. I have the faith of your Son Jesus to expect the miracle to take place every time provided that the one requesting is not living a sinful life and is expecting a miracle.

This prayer is asked through the power in the name of Jesus. Amen.

2.Loyal to Him

Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.

His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

St. John 11:7-8

Father I may like the disciples not always understand what thy Son Jesus Christ is saying. However even though I may not always understand it is my obedience to what He says which counts. For to disobey is that which brings dishonour to Him. I know when the proposition does come from God because this has a quiet persistence. Father it is not my being loyal to my notions of Jesus Christ but my being loyal to Him.

Being loyal will mean stepping out where I do not see anything. Faith is not intelligent understanding, faith is deliberate commitment to a Person where I see no way. Father may I always be loyal to Jesus Christ when He says to my spirit I hear whatsoever He saith unto me do it.

For your glory Father this is asked through the name which is higher than any other name that of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer 11 07 16

Being Ready

Be ye therefore ready also.

St. Luke 12:40

Father the great need of each Christian worker is to be ready to face Jesus Christ at every and any turn. Although this is not easy for the battle is not against sin, difficulties or circumstances but against being so absorbed in work that we are not ready to face Jesus Christ at every turn. It is not facing our belief or a creed or whether we are of any use but to face Him.

Father let us be aware that Jesus rarely comes where we expect Him. Help us to keep true to God by being ready for these surprise visits from our Lord. May we realise that it is not service that matters but intense spiritual reality which expects Jesus Christ at every turn. For then we shall be spiritually real rather than religious. Set apart for Him by setting our hearts on Him to know what He wants by thinking on His line.

We are to trust no one should that one hinder our sight of Jesus Christ.

Father grant this prayer for it is asked in the name which you cannot deny that of your Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

18 July 2016 Prayers

Challenging Unbelief

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul.

Acts 19:11

Father what a word this is, one which challenges us in these days of unbelief. May you find those who will believe your Word and through them show that the God of miracle is still alive. As the life of your Son Jesus Christ was made known through Paul so miracles took place. Souls saved.

Diseases and sicknesses healed. Troubled minds made whole. Demonic spirits cast out. As Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever then the day of miracles has not ceased. Father may your servant who makes this prayer be used to wrought special miracles too.

This is asked and believed that this has been granted through Jesus Christ so that He receives the pre-eminence and that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

  • Dynamic Prayer

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor.

Isaiah 59:16

Father in these days of shallowness in the understanding of the life of your Son Jesus Christ this can be found in a lack of dynamic prayer. Instead of earnest prayer, prayer which will not let go until the assurance that the answer has been received there is only a sentimental interest in prayer. Prayer which is centred on self and not for the kingdom of God. Father grant that the forces of darkness shall be given a mighty setback from a restoration of worship and intercession coming together as the one is impossible without the other.

Grant, Father, the revelation that intercession is having the mind of Jesus Christ about the one for whom we pray or the situation for which we pray which may be a world stronghold of satan. Grant Father that by worshipping God in spirit and in truth we will lay hold on Him so that we shall be brought into contact with  His mind about the ones for whom we pray.

Then there is victory in intercessory prayer as the intercessor Himself prays through us by His Spirit. Father this is asked and the answer received through the name which is above all other names that of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer - 25 JULY 2016

Grace

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:16

Father how wonderful is grace for this speaks of thine unmerited favour which is inclusive of every repentant sinner. When your love was seen through the death of Jesus on the cross at Calvary then I could never be the same.

The old sinful life had to go, swept away by the stream of the blood of Jesus. Then there was the boldness to come to the throne of grace and abandon my life to Jesus who because I have seen Calvary has won my love, every bit of it.

For thy glory Father this is given through Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Amen.

Prayer - 08 August 2016

Faith

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.

Romans 4:20

Father your servant Abraham was strong in faith for he believed the promise of God.

What he had heard he knew would come to pass on the basis of who had given the promise. In these days too may I be strong in faith because the promises of God are yea and amen in the person of your Son Jesus Christ who according to your written Word is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Father in every test of faith which you send may I only believe and in doing so give glory to God. Father this is asked through my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

Daily Living

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.

Philippians 3:13

Father the Christian life is one which demands a pressing on and the growing into more of the life of your Son Jesus Christ each day. Stagnation is the enemy to this growth. For to stagnate is to frustrate the spiritual life and dwell upon the natural life. The things which are seen become more important than the things which are unseen.

May each one who have received Jesus Christ as Saviour keep their eyes ever upon Him as living in and through them. Then there shall be a reaching forth for the things unseen which are the spiritual so as to be at one with Jesus Christ in their daily walk with Him.

This is asked through your Son Jesus Christ so that Father you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

Prayer: 03 October 2016

A life saturated in God.

Set your affections on things above, not things on the earth.

Colossians 3:3

Father how wonderful, how glorious is life in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit living in and through those who are baptised into Him. A life saturated in God. A life filled with Holy fire for this is the same life as Jesus Christ had whilst on earth.

Father may our hearts ever be fixed on the things of God and His kingdom rather than the things of earth which are not eternal and will not be found in heaven. May all who have come into the experience of sins forgiven through repentance and the cleansing of the blood of Jesus Christ come to ask for the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Then shall the compassion and long-suffering of Jesus Christ press through to meet the sick and diseased and make them whole. Father still be glorified in your Son Jesus Christ where He can still live in and through those who are His in these days of unbelief and rejection of God. Amen.

Prayer 05 12 16

The Old Paths

Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way,
and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Jeremiah 6:16

Almighty God your Word through your prophet Jeremiah still cries out to those who shall listen. Just as Israel and Judah often turned away from yourself this is true of the Church today. There is disobedience as your ways are not looked for as instead it is the ways of the soul which have taken over most of what is called Church. Soulish ways which do not lead to repentance and conversion. Ways which are unable to bring regeneration to sinners.

The ways of looking only for experience of the soul which can only leave unrepentant sinners swimming in lives which are of the fleshly lusts and not seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit and fire. O God what an unholy mess of the blind leading the blind along the broad road to hell which is all eternity without knowing or receiving yourself. In your mercy O God may the cry of those who are your people through their individual cleansing of the blood of Jesus Christ cry unto you we have sinned and are no more worthy to be called thy sons.

With this identification through intercessory prayer for a rebellious Church turn the Church back to the old paths. The paths of calling sinners to repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their own personal Saviour as their hearts are washed clean through His precious blood. A people set apart for yourself as each one also accepts scriptural holiness as a necessary and vital experience for all believers.

This is asked and the answer received through thy Son Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

Prayer 09 January 2017

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57

Father what a victory your Son Jesus Christ has won. A complete victory over sin, sickness and death. He has fully destroyed the works of the devil so that your sons can have the fullness of God through the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. Yet most of what calls itself church and Christianity is obsessed with looking backwards at your Son still nailed to the cross.

The cross has to be the victory having destroyed the works of the devil which are sin, sickness and death. For the redemption in Jesus Christ has to be that He became the first of the redeemed. Father send the Holy Ghost to take the blindness from the church and Christianity centred on the cross and instead to move into all that is to be received through Jesus Christ.

Lives in whom He is redemption, wisdom, righteousness and sanctification. Lives which are filled with God Himself. Lives which are not separate from Jesus Christ for He is in them and them in Himself. The true relationship of the vine and the branch. Lives of union with God and lived in fellowship with yourself for which you had created man.

Blast away the false teaching of a separate life apart from the God who is someone distant. For to live and move and have our being in God is the outworked victory of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is for your glory Father. Amen.

Prayer - 23 01 17

Faith

Without faith it is impossible to please him.

Hebrews 11:6

O God in these days I pray that within those who claim to be yours for there to be a deep hunger and thirst which is centred in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is all and in all who are truly His. For we are His when we have been brought to a foundation. For if we are going to make any progress in divine life then the only foundation is that of faith. The need of today is the Rock to have our faith firm upon. If we build upon anything other than the Word of God it will mean nothing for all foundations have to be in the Word of God. O God who is that Word and who is that Rock? There is only one and that one is the living Word the Lord Jesus Christ. In Him is the foundation of all things. He is a substance, a power for is personality. He is the substance and evidence of things not seen. O God our faith has to be both in Him and He is us otherwise we are building on sand and not the Rock who is from everlasting to everlasting the same. O God cause all those who put their trust in the sands of the other Jesus to be blown away and the Church of the Rock to fulfil all that has still to be fulfilled before the return of Jesus Christ so that you receive glory through Him. Amen.

Prayer 13 03 17

Spiritual insight

The Lord… hath sent me that thou mightiest receive thy sight.

Acts of the Apostles 9:17

Father may there be spiritual understanding in these days for sadly there are few who have this compared with other periods of the church. When Paul received the restoration of his physical sight at the hands of Ananias he also received spiritually an insight into the Person of Jesus Christ.

Because of this spiritual insight the whole of Paul’s subsequent life and preaching was nothing but Jesus Christ. Father may this be so too in the lives of all who also receive Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.

For thy glory this is asked Father through the power which is in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer 05 06 17

Cast thy burden upon the LORD.

Psalm 55:22

Father may the Holy Spirit show your people the difference between right and wrong burdens. The bearing of the burden of sin or doubt would be wrong. However there are burdens which are placed on us by God which He does not intend to lift off for He wants us to roll them back on Him. For in your work Father it is possible to get out of touch so that the sense of responsibility becomes over-whelming.

When, though, that which is put upon us by God is rolled back upon God then, Father, He takes away the sense of responsibility by bring in the realisation of Himself.

Father may all who belong to your Son Jesus Christ come into this truth of your Word for this is asked in His name and for your glory. Amen.

22 06 17  Prayer

Identified with Jesus

Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me.

St. Matthew 11:29

Father your Son Jesus Christ begins to bring those who become His into the place where they can have communion with Him. Jesus asks that we take one end of the yoke. He is saying to get alongside Him and pull together.

Can we say that we are identified with the Lord Jesus Christ like that?

Should we be able to say so then we will thank God for the pressure of His hand in bringing us into such a wonderful place. Father thank you through your Son so that you glorified through Him. Amen.

Prayer: 10 07 17

Spiritual Activity

While ye have light, believe in the light.

St. John 12:36

Father there are moments of insight which need to be lived up to when we do not feel like it. Help us to bring our commonplace life up the standard revealed in these moments of insight. For these insights come for a purpose and should not be allowed to evaporate.

There needs to be action on whatever comes to us instead of letting laziness draw us away. This needs taking a stand which is committed to God by our action. Whatever decisions are made in the light of these moments of insight are not to be reversed.

Help us Father to press on for the calling of God in Jesus Christ to be outworked in and through us for your glory. Amen.

Prayer:24 July 2017

Ready for God.

God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

Exodus 3:4

Father may we realise that when God speaks many of us give no answer. Moses replied and showed that he had both heard God speak and that he responded. Moses was ready to hear God and this shows that he was in a right relationship to God.

May each one who knows you have a knowledge of where they are in relation to God at present rather than being busy telling God where they would like to go. For it is the man or woman who is ready for God and His work who will carry off the prize when the call comes.

This prayer is asked through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Knowing Jesus

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?

St. John 14:9

Father how we need to have a simple understanding of the life you have given us in your Son. It is when we are simple that we shall discern all the time. Philip though expected the revelation of a tremendous mystery but not of Jesus the one who he knew.

Help us to understand that the mystery of God is not in what we are going to be for it is now. Instead there is looking for some great event in the future and in doing so are hurting Him by the questions we ask similar to Philip asking Jesus to show them the Father. Father cause the church to teach that God shall not manifest Himself to His children for instead God will only manifest Himself in His children.

Then we shall know that the Lord Jesus is here now and with this realisation we are set free from asking stupid questions about the future.

This prayer Father is asked and the answer received in your Son Jesus Christ our Lord so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

18 09 17  Prayer

Seeking God for Himself

Seekest thou great things for thyself?

Jeremiah 45:5

O God may your people seek you for yourself and not just for what they can receive from you. For you want a closer relationship to yourself than receiving your gifts.  How you want each one to get to know you.

For nothing can be easier than getting into a right relationship with yourself but so often it is not you O God we want but only what you give. Help those who are like this to see that they have only become a Christian from their own viewpoint and not that of abandonment to yourself.

O God work out your ultimate perfection all the time in each one who comes to you through Jesus Christ. Amen.

09 10 17 Prayer

FAITH

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

Father may your people not talk of trials and difficulties when all the time God is trying to make them to see that is their duty as obscure people. Can they still do their duty should God shut up heaven?

Instead  often they are looking to be illuminated saints all the time who would be abnormal and unfit for daily life.

Show your people Father that they are not here to do the work of the world. Instead they are here to be vessels for God to do His work through them with the power of the Holy Spirit to stand the turmoil because they shall know that they have been born from above.

This prayer is asked through your Son the Lord Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

The Remnant Church

Though it tarry wait for it.

Habakkuk 2:3

Almighty God may the remnant Church in these days have patience and trust in the Rock Christ Jesus to withstand all the onslaughts of a secular society. For the vision you have given is the source of patience as it imparts a moral inspiration. Moses “endured” as seeing Him Who is invisible.

A man with a vision is not devoted to a cause for he is devoted to God Himself.

O God may the remnant Church be steadfast in the face of persecution always abounding in the work of the Lord.

This is asked for your Glory as it is asked through the name of your Son Jesus Christ.

Amen.

23 10 17 Prayer

Praying always

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.

Ephesians 6:18

Father as I go on in intercession I have found that my obedience to God has cost other people more than I thought. This has shown that there comes a danger to be in sympathy with those who God gradually brings to the answer to the prayers of intercession.

This shows how I need to be fully in line with what you are looking to do in the lives of others.

Human sympathy is a great danger to getting in the way of your purpose. Grant me Father to have the discernment of the Holy Ghost in all matters of intercessory prayer.

This is asked through your Son Jesus Christ so that you shall receive the glory in each prayer. Amen.

04 12 17 Prayer

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.

Galatians 5:1

Heavenly Father may there be a realisation that a spiritually minded man will never try to demand that others believe this and that. Instead it needs to be that whoever it may be brings their life into line with the standards of Jesus.

May there be not simply belief in the Bible but a belief in Jesus Christ whom the Bible reveals. In these days let there be a call to liberty of conscience not liberty of view. For then shall be true freedom in the liberty of Jesus Christ in whose name this is asked.

Amen.

06 02 18 Prayer

Add to your faith virtue

2 Peter 1:5

Father may there be an understanding that add means that there is something your children have to do.  There is a danger of forgetting that your children cannot do what God does and that God will not do what they can do. They cannot save or sanctify themselves.

Yet Father you do not give good habits or character or make to walk aright. Grant Father that your children will work out the salvation which you have worked in them. May there be the taking of the initiative to make a beginning go in the way each one has to go.

For your Word says this is the way walk ye in it. This prayer is brought to you Father through the name above all other names that of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

19 02 18 Prayer

Supernatural Life

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:8

Heavenly Father it is so easy to form habits.

When this happens may these be lost in the life of the dear Lord Jesus Christ. Our spiritual life is continually resolving into introspection. This is because there are still qualities to be added. Where there is a quality lacking, help Father, to recognise whatever this may be. For the only supernatural life is the life which the Lord Jesus lived. Any quality lacking will show itself where there is an uneasiness of being at home with God.

Grant thine help Father so that there is a pressing through to gain whatever qualities are missing.

To do so is to gain Him. In doing so life becomes the simple life of a child.

This is asked Father through the Lord Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

20 02 18 Prayer

Supernatural Life

Working out  of that which God has worked in.

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:18

Father what rejoicing there is when there is that realisation of being saved by the election of God. None can do anything for their salvation. However, there is the need to manifest salvation. There has to be a working out of that which God has worked in. Father allow the difficulties to come so that they can be overcome. As a child of God you will never shield any from the requirements of a son or daughter.

There shall be fiery trials. No matter how these come may God have the chance to manifest Himself in these mortal bodies. It is through submission to the will of God rather than dictation to God that He is able to work through us what He wants.

Then God can feed and nourish others through us. Father this is asked through thy Son the Lord Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

26 02 18 Prayer

The meaning of discipleship

“If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.”

St. Luke 14:26

Lord Jesus Christ you show that should the closest relationships of life clash with your claims then there must be instant obedience to yourself. The meaning of discipleship is personal, passionate devotion to a Person who can only be yourself.

This is the great difference between devotion to a Person and devotion to a set of principles or to a cause. Lord you never gave a set of principles or proclaimed a cause; you proclaimed personal devotion to yourself. A disciple is to be a love-slave to the Lord Jesus Christ.

How sad Lord, that many who call themselves Christians are not devoted to yourself.

May the Holy Ghost impart and shed abroad in the hearts of those who call themselves Christian the very love of God.

Then there shall be a consistency to God as the Lord Jesus Christ was rather than to creeds or to a social or an accommodation gospel as is the case in these days.

For the glory of God this is to be so. It is done. Amen.

Prayer 03 04 18

The promises of God.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 1:4

Father your Word is so clear when it speaks of “partakers of the divine nature.” To become a partaker is based on the promises contained in your Word. Help us to realise the provision which God has made and reject that which is man- made like the ideas found in such books as The purpose driven life. Let there be a realisation that all of the Almighty God is ours in the Lord Jesus.

It is in the Lord Jesus that there is both the fullness of God and the fullness of life. Even should the circumstances of life be hard they should not lead to self-pity for this obliterates God and places self-interest on the throne as is the case with the purpose driven life.

Father cause in these days a clear separation between those who are partakers of the divine nature and those who choose the broad road to hell as found in the purpose driven life.

This is asked and received through the Lord Jesus Christ in whom all the promises of God are yea and amen to the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Prayer 16 04 18

God Conscious.

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin.

St. Matthew 6:28

Heavenly Father why should I be concerned over the things which are necessary for daily living? Your Word shows me to ‘consider the lilies of the field.’ The lilies grow and are what they are. The sea, the air, the sun, the stars and the moon all these too are what they are.

I can be so self-conscious rather than God-conscious. Help me, Father, to follow Jesus’ teaching to accept that spiritual growth does not depend on our watching but on concentration on my Father in heaven. Father, you know the circumstances which we I am in.

Please help me to concentrate on the Lord Jesus Christ so as to grow spiritually as the lilies.

Amen.

Prayer 23 04 18

I will keep them in troubled.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Romans 8:35

Father you do not keep your people immune from trouble. Instead you say “I will keep them in trouble.” It does not matter what these troubles may be for none of them can separate from the relationship with yourself through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Your Word says that “we are more than conquerors in all these things.” Paul says we are victors in the midst of these troubles because not one of them affects our relationship to God.

Therefore we are in exactly the condition which we find ourselves and should not wish that we should not be in that circumstance.

To thee, Father is the glory through your Son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer 07 05 18

Being Kingdom of God people.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

St. Matthew 6:33

Father when we look at these words of your Son Jesus they are found to be the most revolutionary statement which human ears have ever listened to. Instead of acting upon these words of Jesus, even the most spiritually-minded are likely to resist instead of applying the words into their lives.

There is instead such reaction as ‘I must live; I must make so much money; I must be clothed; I must be fed.’

Instead of thrusting our whole lives into being kingdom of God people the great concern is to fit ourselves to live.

Jesus reverses the order. He is concerned with getting rightly related to God first. Then to go on and maintain that as the great care of our lives and never to put the concern of our care on the other things. Father through your Son the Lord Jesus Christ may we be those who first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Amen.

Prayer 12 06 18

The purpose of God.

“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” St. Matthew 6:25.

Father your Son the Lord Jesus Christ always shows common sense in a disciple to be infidelity. By putting other things first this leads to confusion.

The word therefore is a strong check. May this check in the spirit be accepted by a disciple when there is the danger of worrying over the necessities of life. Jesus makes clear that there is the danger of being drawn away from the purpose of God through the cares of this world.

These little worries are those which are not able to be seen.

The cure for this infidelity is to be absolutely abandoned to Jesus.

Father restore this abandonment to Jesus as the way of discipleship in these days so that you shall be glorified through your Son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer 28 08 18

Relationship

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”

St. John 16:23

Heavenly Father what a glorious day when the ascended Lord Jesus thy beloved Son made me one with you. In that day I became one with the Father as Jesus is and realised that Jesus said “ye shall ask Me nothing.” In these days may there be others who shall also come into this relationship with yourself.

Then with the resurrection life within, that which is a blockage to spiritual growth shall cease: the blockage being that of keep asking questions because there shall be none left to be asked. Instead there has come an entire reliance on the resurrection life of Jesus which brings into perfect contact with the purpose of God.

For your glory. Amen.

Prayer 11 09 18

The will of God

“Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God.”

Hebrews 10:9

Father your Son Jesus’ obedience was to your will. In these days man’s obedience is to what he sees to be the need. This then becomes to look to find some work to do in reaching those who are dying without God.

However, first cause there to be the realisation that God’s needs have to be met in us. For it is when God’s needs in us have been met, then He will open the way for us to realise His needs elsewhere.

Father bring your people into line with your will for your glory.

Amen.

Prayer 26 11 18

In touch with God.

“The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.”

Psalm 25:14

Lord God the joy of the Lord is with those who fear thee. O to confide in thee the secret joys. Yet there is that which is of thee, to hear thee speak thine own secret joys.

The secret joys which bring into a relationship with thyself in order to become in touch with thine own purposes. Lord evermore bring me into touch with thine own purposes even the tiny things which show thine amazing intimacy.

The intimacy which shows that every detail of my life is known unto thee. This is asked and received for thy glory alone. Amen.

Prayer 03 12 18

Living as Him

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Hebrews 13:5

Lord Jesus Christ may there be a hearing from thee in these days of unbelief.

A stirring of the hearts of the remnant people of God. A taking hold of thyself to be bold in the face of persecution to know that the Lord is my helper and not to fear what man may do unto me.

In thee comes thy strength in my weakness so that day by day as I go on in grace I find that God is glorifying Himself.

With this in mind what amazing strength comes to sing thy praises in the midst of walking as thee even in the darkest of days.

Amen.

14 01 19 Prayer

Atonement

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

St John 14:13

Heavenly Father there is no pride in intercession. Instead this is a hidden ministry that brings forth fruit by which thou art glorified. Am I bringing my whole life to the one centre, that of the atonement of my Lord?

For when this is so He shall dominate every interest in my life.

With His domination then the atonement of my Lord, in every phase of my life, will bear fruit for Him.

This will be so that thou Father shall be glorified through thy Son, my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Amen.

11 02 19 Prayer

A longing for God.

“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

St. Luke 11:10

Heavenly Father may those who know you as Father always ask for that which is for your glory rather than for their own personal desires. It is by being spiritually real comes the Holy Spirit making known all that Jesus did personally for each one who is in Christ.

O God bring that sense of reality in these days to sweep away the self-centredness which goes under the name of Christianity and Church.

Bring into lives a longing for God Himself and to receive all the fullness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Filled and filled with the rivers of living water which He promised.

To thy glory this is asked. Amen.

18 02 19 Prayer

Right way of asking God.

“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

St. Luke 11:9

Father there is asking amiss when there is asking from life instead of from God. For this is asking from a desire for self-realisation instead of asking from God so that He alone receives the worship of our hearts.

The more self-realisation there is the less thou art being sought.

The words of Jesus are ‘seek and ye shall find’. How in these days there needs to be a fresh realisation to narrow interests to this one intent?

Can those who call themselves Christian say that they have sought God with their whole heart?

O God restore the true meaning of these wonderful truths of thy Word so that thou shalt be glorified through thy beloved Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Amen.

26 03 19  Prayer

Blasphemy against God.

“He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.”

St. John 1:39

Lord Jesus Christ your disciples Andrew and Peter came and abode with thee that day. That is about all some who call themselves Christians ever do.

Then when there is a wakening up to actualities it is self-interest which arises and the abiding is passed. In life there is no condition in which we cannot abide in Jesus. However, God can only write the new name of the life of Jesus’ life in us where He has erased the pride and self-sufficiency and self-interest.

Lord awaken those who say that they belong to Thee realise that this can only be so where pride and self-sufficiency and self-interest have been completely erased.

For example pride is the deification of self. To say ‘I am no saint’ whilst acceptable to human pride, this is unconscious blasphemy against God. Lord bring the true body of Christ into the fullness of lives wholly given to Thee and what Thy Atonement has done.

This is so the Father shall be glorified through Thee. Amen.

 06 May Prayer

“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge.”

2 Peter 1:5

Father your Word speaks of inheriting the Divine nature. This is the coming of the Divine into human vessels through the reality of redemption: The fulfilment of God’s purpose of making us one with yourself.

May your people who have become one with yourself give diligence in order to form character.

Drudgery is the touchstone of character.

The great hindrance in spiritual life is to look for the big things to do.

May there be the going on day by day of carrying on with God.

This is accepting that routine is God’s daily round and common task.

Father receive the glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

21 05 19 Prayer

Criticism is destructive

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.”

St. Matthew 7:1

Lord Jesus you say regarding judging don’t. However, the opposite comes from the average Christian. Criticism is part of man. In the spiritual domain, though, nothing is accomplished by criticism. For it is criticism which divides up the powers of the one criticised.

The Holy Spirit is the only one who is in a true position to criticise. He only can show what is wrong without hurting and wounding. It is impossible to enter into communion with God whilst having a critical temper.

Lord it is acknowledged that criticism of others is satanic and a hindrance to being filled with the Holy Spirit. Help, Lord, to be in a right relationship with yourself through being fully surrendered to the perfect will of God. Amen.

13 06 19 Prayer

Faith

“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.”

St. Matthew 14:29-30

Lord Jesus although the wind was strong and the waves high, at first Peter did not see them. He saw you, Lord, and walked on the water. All was well until Peter took his eyes off you. The same is true in the Christian life.

Where you are recognised it is none of our business what circumstances you bring us into.

Instead of being overwhelmed with whatever the circumstances may be we need to keep recognising you, Jesus, and maintain complete reliance on you.

Amen.

31 October 2019 - Prayer

Grace

“We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.”

2 Corinthians 6:1

Father may there be a realisation that the grace received yesterday will not do for today.

Grace as the overflowing favour of God can always be reckoned to be drawn upon. It is in much patience, in necessities and in distresses that the test for patience comes.

This is not a question of praying and asking God to help; it is taking the grace of God now. There is a misunderstanding when prayer is made the preparation for work.

This is not according to the Bible. Prayer is to be the exercise of drawing on the grace of God.

Father may the body of your Son here on earth come into line with your Word.

This is so that you may be glorified through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

18 November 2019 - Prayer

Sermon on the Mount

“And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

St. Matthew 5:30

Lord Jesus you made clear that it is not a requirement that everyone must cut off their right hand.

Instead this applies to what offends in the walk with yourself needs to be cut off.

For to be able to concentrate on God there are things which may be legitimate but to walk with God in daily life these cannot be done.

This is a matter of whatever may hinder following your precepts, Lord Jesus has to be cut off.

Help me Lord.

Amen.

09 December 2019 - Prayer

Amen.

23 December 2019 - Prayer

Title My utmost for God.

“Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.”

St. Matthew 5:26

Lord God you are determined to make each Christian pure and holy and righteous. There is to be no escape from the scrutiny of the Holy Spirit.

There is your urge, Lord, to come to judgement right away when you bring conviction. However, so often this is resisted. As a consequence the process begins which leads to a spiritual prison from which the only way out is when the uttermost farthing is paid.

From God’s side the process is a glorious ministry of love in order to bring to the recognition of the disposition of insisting of the right to ourselves. It is only at the moment that there is a willingness to alter this disposition that God’s recreating forces can start to work.

Lord God thank you that you will go to any length to get each Christian rightly related to yourself and to their fellow men and women through Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Prayer - 13th. January 2020

“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

Psalm 37:5

O God how you seem to have a delightful way of upsetting the things we have calculated on without taking you into account. It is so easy to get into circumstances which were not chosen by God.

This can lead to God not entering in as a living factor.

To avoid worrying we need to bring God in as the greatest factor in all our calculations.

A living faith in the living God as found in Christianity will put God first even in the practical matters of life.

To do so we must come to God as we are.

This is done through trusting the Lord Jesus Christ in all matters each day to the glory of God the Father.

Amen.

Prayer - 10th. February 2020

I cannot give up my will by myself.

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15

O God it is true that I cannot give up my will. I must exercise my will by obeying and then will to receive God’s Spirit. When Thou give a vision of truth it is not a question of what Thou will do but what I will do.

When I remember what I did when I was touched by God, being saved and first seeing Jesus and realised some truth in Thy Word, it is then easy to yield again to any further propositions from the Spirit of God. Just as Joshua put to the people whom they would serve, likewise the choice on all matters is always between God and myself.

There is to be no conferring with flesh and blood. I will be loyal and give others credit when they are loyal too. I have no right to find out where God is leading as the only thing God will explain is Himself. To Thy glory alone.

Amen.

Prayer - 24th. February 2020

Remaining steadfast.

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25.

Heavenly Father there is a warning here to provoke one another and to keep together.

Both of these require initiative. The initiative is that of the realisation of the Lord Jesus Christ and not self-realisation.

The realisation of the Lord Jesus Christ dwelling within us by His Spirit shall keep us from becoming cold in our walk with Him.

For thy glory Father in thy beloved Son. Amen.

Prayer - 9th. March 2020

Knowing Jesus Christ

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” Philippians 3:10.

Lord Jesus Christ what joy it is to know thee. In knowing thyself is to have fullness of life.

This is not self-realisation which is that which the world seeks. All circumstances to the man and woman of God are the means of coming into the full knowledge of thyself Lord Jesus Christ.

For thou art God of God, very God of very God, begotten not made. The only Son of the Father.

May all who call themselves Christian have this reckless abandonment about them whether man or woman so that the Father shall be glorified through Son.

Amen.

Prayer - 13th. March 2020

Inspiration

Amen.

Prayer - 27th. April 2020

Inspiration

“I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.”

Romans 1:14

Lord Jesus Christ may the great inspiration of those who belong to you be that of realising that you are their spiritual creditor. Then there will be the sense of indebtedness to yourself in regard to every unsaved soul.

This is because every bit of their lives shall value what is owed to the Redemption which is in yourself.

When this is so then there shall be a giving of the whole life to enable you to bring your redemption into actual manifestation in other lives.

This is for your glory.

Amen

Prayer - 4th. May 2020

Asking for prayer requests.

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” St. Matthew 7:11

Heavenly Father Jesus laid down rules of conduct for those who have His Spirit.

He urges the keeping of the mind to be filled with the notion of God’s control behind everything which means that the disciple must maintain an attitude of perfect trust and an eagerness to ask and to seek.

May this always be so that Heavenly Father you are glorified through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen

Prayer - 8th. June 2020

Inheriting the Divine nature

Amen.

Prayer - 15th. June 2020

Greater love

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

St. John 15:13

Lord Jesus Christ you do not ask me to die for you but to lay down my life for you. Peter had said that he would lay down his life. To do so can be out of the sense of the heroic.

It is far easier to die than to lay down the life, day in and day out. Lord help me to realise that I am not made for brilliant moments. Instead it is walking in the light of them in ordinary ways.

Even you, Lord, had only one brilliant moment which was on the Mount of Transfiguration.

As a friend of yours, Lord, I have to lay down my life for you.

Help, Lord, to be able to stand loyal.

Your honour, Lord, is at stake in my body which belongs to you.

Amen.

Prayer - 22nd. June 2020

Judge not.

Amen.

Prayer - 13th. July 2020

Self-possessed prayer.

“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:10

Lord God self-centred prayer which wants to be right with God is not found in the New Testament.

For such prayer which tries to be right with God is a sign of rebelling against the Atonement.

No one can make him or herself right with God.

The only way is to accept the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ as an absolute gift.

Lord God bring hearts to humble themselves by accepting this thy gift.

For in these days of self-righteousness there are those who may call themselves Christian yet have rebelled against the Atonement.

Amen.

Prayer - 27th. July 2020

“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

St. Matthew 7:2

Father, these words of your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ are the eternal law of God.

That is whatever judgment someone gives it shall be given to them again. Jesus is saying that the basis of life is retribution rather than retaliation.

Paul applies this teaching in Romans 2 even more definite. He says that the one who criticises another is guilty of the very same thing. In days where the statements of the Bible are not believed, even in that which calls itself Church, may there be a restoration of fundamental Bible Christianity.

This is ask through Jesus Christ our Lord that the Father may be glorified through the Son.

Amen.

Voice from the glory
