Sanctification

1)  20 08 13

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain and former rain unto the earth.

Hosea chapter 6 verse 3

Almighty God your ways are perfect. When we see the great and precious promises contained in your word and bring ourselves into line with your purpose for our lives we find that place of rest.  It is when we seek to plan our own lives that we become restless and frustrated.  Lord you have a plan for each one who knows you in Jesus Christ.  How slow we are to see that all you want from us is our wills and our bodies for the Holy Spirit to live His life through us.  When this happens Lord you have our all to bring us into line with your plan.

No more striving, no more concern over what may appear to be setbacks from the human point of view.  No we are brought into line with yourself whereby all that takes place is to fulfil your purposes through us as you want and when you want.  This has to be so for your  word says all things work together for good to them that love God.  Lord your  word is there to be believed and acted upon.  I act upon your word by believing every last word of it and what it says is seen to be true in my own life.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God. Amen.

2)  23 08 13

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

St John chapter 7 verse 38

Lord Jesus Christ O to have a life like your own, a life not in part but the whole where we have the fullness of God within.  Praise you Lord that there is this power to live and power to show the divine manifestation of God within us. Thank you Lord that this power takes us out of our own plans and places us into the plan of God.  Why is it Lord few will come into your plan?

It is none other than refusing your offer to have everything of ourselves taken away so that this can be replaced and put into a divine order.  O Lord moment by moment may I have your mind so that this is the mind of Christ which your servant Paul knew to be essential to be like yourself.

Lord nearly  everyone in Christianity today acts as though they know better than yourself because they still have “I” at the center of their lives.  They refuse to say “Not I but Christ liveth in me.”

Lord transform Christianity today by finding those who are so baptized in the Holy Spirit that through submission of their own will and with a humility like your own shall know moment by moment the working out of what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God in and through them.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor and glory to the name of our God.  Amen.

3) Prayer 30 08 13

Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.

Isaiah chapter 52 verse 11

Lord God blessed be your holy name for you are the Almighty, you are the Lord. It is in the light of your holiness that those who are to become your vessels realize that there can be no unclean thing within them for whilst there remains anything which is of unconfessed sin then they will not be able to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Lord show those who have anything in their lives which needs to be made right with another person, even should this have been from many years ago to go and make the matter right and make restitution should this be necessary. Lord your standards are the highest for they are not the standards of man but the standards of God and what is permissible to man is not permissible to those who want to receive your best.  Lord raise the standards within Christianity today so that sin amongst Christians is confessed and restitution made.

Lord the need of the Church is for men and women who are baptizes with the Holy Spirit.  Lord separate cleansed vessels for yourself who can be mightily used for the building of the kingdom of God.  This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God.  Amen.

4) Prayer: 06 10 13

He must increase, but I must decrease.

St John chapter 3 verse 30

Lord Jesus Christ you are to be given the pre-eminence in all things.  Just like John the Baptist who knew he had to decrease and yourself increase the Christian life is one where you alone are to be at the centre.  Lord may you increase within me day by day as there is a daily dying to self and an ever increasing progress in sanctification.  Lord may this daily changing make me more like yourself as I am transformed by the Holy Spirit.

This then is knowing what it is to be a living sacrifice which is holy and acceptable to God. This position can only come out of an offering to yourself following your example of offering yourself at Calvary.  Lord make me more helpless so that I daily become more dependent on God. Thank you, Lord, that as the Holy Spirit lives within me a life like your own each inflow of his power is for an enlarging of yourself as more of the divine replaces the human.

Lord in these days when even within Christianity lives are centred on self rather than yourself  may there be a fresh revelation of what it means for you to be given the pre-eminence in all things.  This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God. Amen.

5) Prayer: 20 December 2013

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Zephaniah chapter 3 verse 17

Lord God you are mighty for you are the Almighty God.  Your arm is not shortened that it cannot save.  Lord you are still in the business of saving souls for you would not have sent your only begotten Son into this world should that not have been the case.  Lord God the redeeming love of Jesus as God the Son on Calvary’s cross has brought that living way whereby sinners can be reconciled with yourself.  Sin had done its worst in cutting off sinners from your holiness.

Lord in your mercy you receive repentant sinners into your presence.  These are those now forgiven as their past sins have been cleansed away by the blood of Christ.  Lord may the Spirit of Christ give the power for those who have become His to live a holy life.  This Lord God has been a weakness in the body of Christ for many years as numerous of those who have been cleansed have failed to go on to live a holy life.  Show Lord that you are still the same today as in the days of the early Church so that the redeemed will be holy, will be filled with the joy of Christ.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor to our God.  Amen

6) Prayer 07 December 2013

Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from His fierce anger, that we perish not.

Jonah chapter 3 verse 9

Lord God I and those who are Christians are often not in a right relationship with yourself because sin hidden to others yet not hidden to yourself brings coldness to our hearts.  Lord both within the individual and the Church worldliness , lukewarmness and formality together with pleasure-seeking and self-seeking  have become abominations in your sight whilst the individual and the Church have little conception that this is evil.

Lord no wonder that the sounds from heaven in revival are not heard for sin prevents you sending revival.  Turn each one of us Lord to seek thy face and repent of those sins which prevent the out pouring of the Holy Spirit.  Lord may we as individuals and your Church then through your holiness know your righteousness and your love.

Then Lord will be known within our souls your holiness, your glory, your nearness, your power and your saving love.  This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of the Lord our God for it is asked in the name which is above every other name that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Amen

7) If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

St John chapter 7 verse 37

O God waken me and others upon whom you place your desire to seek Thee for a new wave of those sounds from heaven which have not been heard for many years.  May our lives be totally immersed in yourself so that every area is only filled with the life like that of you as seen in Jesus Christ.

Use us O God to disturb those who call themselves your people to seek and find the rivers of living water of which Jesus spoke; lives which are saturated with the unction of the Holy Spirit and lived out in the power of the Holy Spirit.  Lives which are yours and yours alone lived out for your glory for they will have nothing to do with that which is a Christianity not separated unto yourself.

Lives which have come out of the deadness of that which calls itself Christianity and wholly separated unto yourself for you to live through to show what God is as seen in Jesus Christ.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God.  Amen.

8) Prayer 24th. January 2014

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1 John chapter 1 verse 5

O God what a privilege in life it is to live only for your glory.  It is joy together with blessed assurance to know we have your word rooted deep within our innermost being, the heart, the place you come to indwell.

That word is yourself Lord for you are the living word for in you is life as you are the author of life.  There is nothing we can withhold from you for when we belong to you there is an overflowing of your life in us: life which cannot be contained for your life has to flow out to the needy.

We are the vessels, you are the substance within.  As we know you more and more each day help us Lord to press further into all you have to give so that your love is perfected within us.  Human love at best is sympathy which is not able to meet the needs of those who are broken in spirit.

It is only that pure, unselfish love which flows from your loving heart which can satisfy the human heart.  Lord evermore let your love dwell within our hearts.  Let this love flow through us, your vessels so the unloved, and those who are the broken in spirit may be drawn to yourself.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor and glory to the name of our God.  Amen.

9)  Prayer: 31 January 2014

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Ephesians chapter 3 verse 21

Father God what abundant joy it is to know that the Church is to be presented unto thyself.  The Church of the blood washed saints who are complete in Christ Jesus.  The body of the redeemed who did not know your grace but now through grace have been brought into your banqueting house and know that your banner over them is love.

Living stones who are shining lights in the darkness of a world of sinners who would rather walk in darkness than be brought into the divine light as received through the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.  Those living stones gracious Father now walk in the light of Christ Jesus and have been brought into a living relationship with thyself to worship thee in spirit and in truth.

This has to be so for the blood bought and blood washed have received the life of Christ, His own resurrection life.  Thy Church blessed Lord sings thy praises for the redeemed of the Lord come with singing as the royal priesthood of all who belong to Christ, His own people, each one a living stone which is precious for these are thine own having been snatched from the broad road which leads to hell.

This prayer is to thy honor Father God.  Amen

10) Prayer 12 February 2014

And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.

1 Kings chapter 18 verse 30

O God although the altar of sacrifice laid waste because it had been broken down you called upon your prophet Elijah to rebuild the altar.  Although the prophets of Baal greatly out-numbered your servant he was strong in faith giving glory to God.  Elijah  looked to you and not at what was before his eyes.  Through an unshakable faith he set about repairing the altar and restoring God’s people into a living relationship with their God, a relationship which had been broken for many years.

O God there are still those who are followers of Baal who have infiltrated Christianity and seek to destroy thy Church.  There has been compromise with the world, the flesh and the devil.  Instead of calling upon the Church to be separated as the body of the redeemed, that is, a blood bought and blood washed priesthood of believers who belong to Christ, the blood of Christ has instead been trodden underfoot.  Christ has been despised and rejected for man has ascended the throne of his own carnality under the name of Christianity.  The pursuit of the flesh life rather than to be holy as thou art holy is all these followers of Baal seek.  In doing so they undermine what the body of Christ should be, none other than those in whom Christ dwells by His Spirit.

O God use me to be an Elijah.  Use me Lord to rebuild the broken altar of the Church so that instead of the rubble of self-seekers who are called Christian there will be a people separated unto thyself: those who have let the Holy Spirit live through their bodies a life which is holy, righteous and pure.  Lives which live only for the glory of God and for their neighbor wherever there is someone in need of the love of God as found in Christ for they are your representatives as living Christ’s to a lost world. This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God.  Amen.

11) Prayer: 19th. February 2014

Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost, whom we may appoint over this business.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 6 verse 3

Heavenly Father in the early church the disciples were presented with many responsibilities.  There was complaining of the neglect of the widows.  This complaining led to the choosing of seven men who were “full of the Holy Ghost.”

O Lord how this shows that all work done unto thyself, no matter how menial this may be, then the person who is chosen has to be “full of the Holy Ghost.”  Lord in thy plan for the Church of thy beloved Son may we even during every day routines be sanctified to God for as in the early church there still needs to be a Holy Ghost Church.  Lord as a covenant-keeping God do not let standards of service be compromised.

Let the Church be so equipped with power that you can lay your Hand upon anyone of your living stones in the body of Christ at any time to do that perfect and acceptable will of God.  Lord this has to be for there must never be a stopping point in the Spirit-filled life.

Lord may thy people be dissatisfied and discontent whenever the baptism of the Holy Ghost is ebbing so that they will press further into thyself so as to be ever increasing in holiness.  This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God.  Amen.

12) Prayer: 26 February 2014

And his disciples answered him, from whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

St Mark chapter 8 verse 4

Jesu our manna be for you are the bread of life; the source of life for in you alone is the supply which fills the void of the emptiness of our hearts.  Lord your compassion reached out to the multitude which had brought their spiritual hunger to be filled by you.  For three days they had listened: they had been satisfied.  O blessed Jesus what compassion you had that you recognized their natural hunger too and did not send them away knowing they could faint on the way home.

Lord nothing took you unawares for the few loaves and fishes in your hands multiplied so that no one was left hungry.  May we see that not only is our need your supply for also you are the only true source of supply.  Who but you dear Jesus can wash away our sin and heal our sicknesses.  Who but you can bring ourselves into communication with God and make us whole and complete as when we receive you into our hearts we receive your life.

This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God.  Amen.

13)

Prayer: 09 April 2014

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1 Peter chapter 2 verse 5

Heavenly Father may we your sons know what is our true position in Christ. The position of I in Him and He in me as united by union with Him. It is when we are in Christ through justification by faith in Him alone and not in any way seeking to justify ourselves by anything which is outside of that which Christ has already obtained that we can come into our inheritance.

Heavenly Father what an inheritance too for this is spiritual and beyond anything which we can even think of so great is the scope. To know that we are your sons by grace through faith in Christ and that we are living stones in His body the Church. What joy to have Christ within rather than the dead religion often portray as the Church. A living faith in a living Christ so as to be priests unto our God. No altar rails to keep out those who are yours.

No symbols of paganism to drive you away for this is the true Church: individuals in whom Christ indwells by His Spirit to offer up spiritual sacrifices which are acceptable to God. This prayer seeks only to bring honor to our God. Amen.

14) Prayer: 30 April 2014

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

1 John chapter 3 verse 2

Heavenly Father our hearts rejoice to know that all in Christ are your own. There is no doubting for our spirits witness with the Holy Spirit that we are the sons of God. No depth, nor height, nor length, nor breadth shall be able to separate us from your love.

The Divine Love is our portion for the Love Divine which is all excelling is found in Christ who is Love and has taken up residence in our hearts. O blessed Jesus what rejoicing there is now whilst we await your call to higher service in glory or your second coming to gather your own to present them spotless to our Heavenly Father.

Jesus each one of your own who have been plucked as brands from the prospect of the burning flames of hell are trophies of grace. Each one a jewel adorning your crown.  Lord Jesus will you ever lead us on into a deeper life with yourself for the world has grown strangely dim in the light of your glory and grace.

This prayer is for the glory of God the Father who in Christ has given all things which pertain to life and holiness. Amen.

15)  Prayer 08 March 2015

But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

Psalm 3 verse 4

Almighty and Everlasting God there is no one likened unto yourself. Sovereign in power you are the only God whose life is holy for holiness is a person, the person of your Son and the very essence of your Life. Lord you have made known your holiness through your Son and it is in Christ that the sinner can exchange the filthy rags of sin for a new life, the life of Christ. Lord one look at Jesus the sinner’s only plea for forgiveness as He hung nailed to Calvary’s cross is enough to melt the hardest of hearts.

I need no other arguments or any other pleas for it is enough that Jesus died and that He died for me. Lord what a change comes with the cleansing of the blood of Jesus for this cleanses from all sin. Delivered, set free and born again into a new life. What a change for the veil has lifted and the darkness dispelled. Lord having entered within the veil of your presence and experienced the life of Jesus for my spirit has been quickened how can I not want to go on and know all of God? Lord set me apart for yourself. You have done this for in Christ I receive the gift of holiness for as He lives as I He is my holiness.

This prayer is for your glory alone for you are my Lord and my God. Amen.

16) Prayer 18 March 2015

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness and from all your idols will I cleanse you.

Ezekiel chapter 36 verse 25

Father thank you for the divine promise of cleansing from all that is unclean. The promise fulfilled through the one perfect offering of Jesus when He died on the cross and offered His own blood to pay the price to set sinners free from sin. The blood of Jesus which alone can cleanse from all sin.

Father your Word speaks that as far as the east is from the west so far has the sin of repentant sinners been removed from your sight. What manner of love, what joy comes when all is removed for then all sin has been cleansed. Father what a miracle takes place when the work of sanctification is seen.

Lives recreated in the image of your Son. Lives filled with the Life of your Son. Complete deliverance from the power of sin through the indwelling person of the Holy Spirit living His Life, a life like that of Jesus in and through the cleansed vessels of all who have abandoned themselves to Jesus.

This is none other than taking up the cross daily and experiencing the outworking of being in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. How otherwise could this not be so for Christ is now in me and I in Christ, the flowing of His Life as the vine into all who have become His branches. Father this prayer is for your glory as you are all in all.

17) Prayer 31 03 15

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need.

Hebrews chapter 4 verse 16

Father may all who know you as Father because they have been reconciled to you through the blood of your Son Jesus rise into the place of sonship. In the days of the early Church believers sought unction from on high and not entertainment from men. Father there was a living relationship with the Living God, a relationship of worshipping you in Spirit and in truth.

There was none of most of what is called evangelism today which is none other than a craze for entertainment and can never bring glory to a holy, righteous and pure God. Father the early Church knew the secret of power from yourself for there was separation from the world and sin. There was a boldness to come to the throne of grace as there was living within the veil finding the deepest longings of the heart being fully satisfied in God alone. Father you have provided the meeting of all our needs as these have already been obtained by Jesus.

May the Holy Spirit show believers that all that they need in life is received as a gift through Jesus. This is the place of separation, the place of power and has nothing to do with the old self life to which each believer should be crucified. Father, Jesus has won my love every last bit and He is my Life for He gave His Life when He took my place on the cross to die for my sin.

Jesus what a privilege to know that I am a branch in you, the Living vine, the Living God. Father this prayer is offered in the name above all names for your glory, the name of Jesus. Amen.

18)  Holiness Prayer

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ.

Colossians 2:8

Father just as in the days when thy servant Paul gave this warning so in these days there are those who do not accept the inspired Word of God as your final authority. May the Holy Spirit grant thy revelation into all truth and expose the philosophy and vain deceit which is made out to be Christian teaching today.

Grant thy servant the means of a world-wide ministry of warning against the perils of low-level Christian living when the call is to step forward and upward with God and to accept greater responsibilities. Instead of the ideas of man having a hold on those who should belong wholly to your Son I appeal to you, Father, to purify the church to be obedient to yourself as the Holy God demanding Holy living.

This is asked in the name above all others that of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

19)  Prayers - 10 09 15

  • Baptised in the Holy Spirit and Fire

Saul, Saul, why persecutes thou Me?

Acts of the Apostles 26:14

Heavenly Father how in these days the need is vital for those who are your sons to be baptised in the Holy Spirit. Unless we know that we are sons infilled by your Spirit then we will be set on our own way led by our own thoughts. It is the experience of the baptism with fire which makes the difference by purging out the dross of the old self-life. For it is by being obstinate and self-willed and set upon our own ambition that we hurt Jesus. Each time we stand on our own rights and insist that this is what we intend to do we are persecuting Jesus.

O how in these days there is a need to so have the Spirit of Jesus making us conscious of a perfect oneness with you Father just as you are one with Jesus. From this can then come all that we do in perfect harmony with your will and not a self-willed determination to be godly. Father instead of a self-willed religious spirit may your sons be filled with your Spirit, immersed in the Holy Spirit. Heavenly Father please grant this request for your glory for it is asked through the all-powerful name of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • Who will dare call down the fire?

Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the LORD fell….

1 Kings 18:37-38

LORD God where are the men today who will dare call down the fire? Your prophet Elijah called the fire down as he stood as your representative in the midst of great apostasy. All around him were the followers of Baal who had defied you and led the people into rebellion and unbelief. Elijah, though, believed his God and in doing so he could ask, he had no doubt that the Almighty was on his side and the prophets of Baal would be destroyed. LORD God it was the descent of your fire which was the defining moment.

In these days when more than the likes of the prophets of Baal are challenging the truth of the Word of God and the Lordship of Jesus where are the Elijah’s. LORD God I am your vessel filled with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Take me in like manner to be an Elijah to call down your fire to destroy those who have come against your Word and the Lordship of Jesus, especially those who are making out that they are your representatives. LORD God this prayer is asked for your glory alone for it is asked through Jesus Christ your beloved Son. Amen.

20)  06 06 16  Prayer

The saint has to show Jesus Christ

The friend of the Bridegroom

St. John 3:29

Father how there needs to be the realisation that goodness and purity ought never to attract attention to themselves. Their purpose is to draw to Jesus Christ. For if my holiness is not drawing towards Him then this is not holiness of the right order. Instead this will be an influence which will awaken inordinate affection and side-track souls from Jesus Christ.

This is because the saint has to show Jesus Christ and not just speak of what He has done for him. For to only speak of Jesus Christ rather than manifest Him will draw attention to the man instead of Jesus Christ. Father may we maintain the friendship and loyalty to the Bridegroom by being always careful of our moral and vital relationships to Him than any other thing or obedience.

Father this prayer is asked through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen

21)  27 June 2016 Prayer Holiness

Come up hither, and I will shew thee things.

Revelation 4:1

Father may your people always live up to the highest that they know so that you will say ‘Friend go up higher.’ The golden rule in temptation is ‘Go higher.’ Then may your people be aware of having to face other temptations and characteristics. For not only does Satan use the strategy of elevation in temptation then there is the need to know that so does God yet the effect is different.

The difference is that Satan looks to put your people into an elevated place so that your people Father will have the idea of holiness beyond what flesh and blood could ever bear, a place where they are unable to move. However when God elevates by His grace into heavenly places instead of finding a pinnacle to cling to we shall find a great table-land where it is easy to move. Father may your people ever look to know that you have got them and that your spiritual riches are only to be found in your Son Jesus Christ.

This is asked through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

22)  24 October 2016

Sanctification

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:4

Heavenly Father grant an understanding to those who have accepted your Son Jesus Christ as their Saviour that no one enters into the experience of entire sanctification without going through the burial of the old life.

For unless there has been this crisis of death sanctification is nothing more than a vision. This death has only one resurrection which is into the life of Jesus Christ. Then this life has only one purpose which is to be a witness to Jesus Christ.

This is asked through the name which is above all other names that of Jesus Christ so that you Father shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

23) 03 October 2017

The Holy Spirit

Love suffereth long and is kind.”

1 Corinthians 13:4

Father may I realise that love is not premeditated for it is spontaneous for it will come in many extraordinary ways.

The characteristic of love is spontaneity. It is marvellous to know that when the Holy Spirit is having His way with me I shall live according to His standard without knowing it.

Thank you Father that I have come to know that in everything to do with the life of God in me its nature is only discerned when it is past.

All which is done is for the glory of God. Amen.

24) 01 March 2018

Obedience

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. Acts 24:16

Father the commands of God are given to the life of your Son in us. This is to the human nature in which your Son has been formed. To the human nature these are difficult. When they are obeyed they become divinely easy. It is when there is the habit of steadily facing ourselves with God then this will always introduce God’s perfect law and show what must be done. Will there be obedience?

When there is the effort to keep the conscience sensitive to walk without offence this shall be so.

Father help thy people to live in perfect sympathy with your Son. In every circumstance, then, the spirit of thy peoples’ minds are renewed to see what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Our part is to keep the inner vision clear. Father be glorified through your Son Jesus Christ in whose name this is asked. Amen.

25) 30 April 2018

Forming the mind of Christ.

In your patience possess ye your souls.

St. Luke 21:19

Heavenly Father for a period of time after being born again there is not the same robustness in thinking or in reasoning as was formerly the case. There needs to be formed the expression of the new life in order for the mind of Christ to be formed.

Here comes the instruction which looks to acquire the soul with patience. At this point many fail to go on to acquire the mind of Christ. There is a staying at the threshold of the Christian life instead of going on to construct the new life in accordance with the new life which God has put within. There is failure because of ignorance of the way which men and women are made which is in the image of God.

Heavenly Father arouse those who are born again to press on into the deeper depths and higher heights so as to be in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus and become fully formed, mature Christians. These are those who believe your Word as contained in the Bible and apply your Word to their lives.

This is asked through your Son the Lord Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified through the Son.

Amen.

26) 29 April 2019

Prayer is

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” St. John 15:4

Heavenly Father there is a lack of teaching on the atonement. For it is through the atonement that the Spirit of thy Son, Jesus is put into those who receive Him into their hearts. From this beginning of being born again starts with patience the way of thinking that is exactly in accordance with my Lord. For this is thinking like Jesus by bringing every thought into captivity to His obedience.

To ‘Abide in me’ is none other than to bring every area of human life into line with Jesus. Heavenly Father this is asked for thy glory throughout the body of Christ, the Royal Priesthood of believers in these days of self-centredness rather than the Lord Jesus Christ being at the centre of each life. Amen.

27) 17 June 2019

Discipleship

“He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.” St. John 21:16

Lord Jesus how your words speak to the heart. They go right to the point of the matter.

In Christian work it is not to seek to make converts to my way of thinking. No it has to be looking after your sheep.

This is to see that they get nourished in the knowledge of yourself. Lord show what you call service.

This is what each Christian is be to you rather than what each does for you.

Discipleship is based on devotion to you and not on adherence to a belief or a creed.

May each one who calls him or herself a Christian be wholly devoted to you dear Lord Jesus.

Amen.

Peace comes through our relationship with God.

“Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.”

Psalm 37:8

Almighty God for a believer to get angry means to get out of line spiritually. It is one thing to say ‘cease from anger’ and another to have a disposition which does keep from becoming angry.

‘Resting in the Lord’ sounds easy until something comes along to cause a disturbance in the believer’s spirit.

The ‘ceasing from anger’ must be able to work in days of disturbance as well as in days of peace.

O God may every believer in thyself find that ‘resting in the Lord’ does not depend on external circumstances at all: it depends on the individual relationship to God Himself.

Amen.

Paying the price

“Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.”

St. Matthew 5:26

Lord God you are determined to make each Christian pure and holy and righteous.

There is to be no escape from the scrutiny of the Holy Spirit. There is your urge, Lord, to come to judgement right away when you bring conviction. However, so often this is resisted.

As a consequence the process begins which leads to a spiritual prison from which the only way out is when the uttermost farthing is paid. From God’s side the process is a glorious ministry of love in order to bring to the recognition of the disposition of insisting of the right to ourselves.

It is only at the moment that there is a willingness to alter this disposition that God’s recreating forces can start to work. Lord God thank you that you will go to any length to get each Christian rightly related to yourself and to their fellow men and women through Jesus Christ.

Amen.

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” 2 Corinthians 2:14.

The Word of God is clear in making known that to triumph comes through the Lord Jesus Christ. He who is God of God, very God of very God, begotten not made; the creator who also sustains all life. “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Hebrews 1:3. It is this triumphant and glorious God the Son who is our life when we can say I am His and He is mine. What a wonderful day it was when we could say “He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.” Song of Solomon 2:4.

Amazing and most wonderful as this entering into God’s holy presence may be, that is only the beginning of all the glorious possibilities in God. “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.” Hebrews 10:19. God does not want us to be ordinary, He wants us to be extraordinary. He does not want us to be natural, He wants us to be supernatural. He wants us to have His power and glory continuously in our lives wherever we go and whatever we do. The presence of God is to be carried in great measure in our lives, to the extent that we know we are no longer our own. Our whole lives, body as well as spirit belong to another, the Son of God, who lives in us, by the same Holy Ghost ,who did the mighty works of God during our Lord’s earthly ministry.” For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:20.

Should this not be seen as the greatest privilege open to anyone on earth? This is both in body and spirit to make known the power and glory of God. The reality, however, is that this is not often seen in these days. There is a barrier, and this is that consecration has almost become a forgotten word in the Christian faith. Consecration means to be separated from anything which is unclean, especially anything that would contaminate our walk with God. Contamination is filth, within the Church, and this is to be evidenced in what my dear African Anglican brethren have made their stand against in the apostasy in some Provinces of the Anglican Communion.

Consecration speaks of sanctification, holiness and purity. These are little in evidence in what is going under the name of Christianity and church in these days. Is there hope to see the power and glory of God, on a scale which shall not only make known, but also be seen, as in the early Church? “Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.” Acts 2:11.

As the filth of the unholy, the denial of both God’s Word, and that His power and glory is still for today, are driven out of the Church, and replaced by lives wholly consecrated to God, there shall then be seen what is the true Christian life, as received through the triumphant Christ. My confidence is in the never-changing Word of the never-changing God. “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”

2 Corinthians 1:20. God’s glory is still for His people. He still wants to bestow it upon them. In all the recorded accounts of His power, in both the Old Testament and in apostolic days, the people recognised the presence of God, and gave Him the glory. Would you like to know His power to be able to give Him the glory?

Prayer: 30 November 2021

“Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”

Psalm 29:2

Lord God Thou art the Lord, Thou art God. To Thee alone is glory to be given.

Thou art and beside Thee there is none other.

Worship from a cleansed heart flows to Thee when Thou only is given Thy rightful place.

What peace, what joy, overflows the heart when Thou art enthroned.

Only then can the Psalmist be joined in worshipping Thee in the beauty of holiness.

Amen.

Prayer: 6 December 2021
