Sanctification

1) BRIAN MASON MESSAGE 10 04 13

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

Hebrews chapter 12 verse 14

This verse could not be more definite in its meaning.  It speaks to believers and helps us to an understanding of who is a believer.  What does this say in relation to holiness?

We are told that God’s standard of life for believers is holiness.  Without holiness we are told no man shall see the Lord.  God’s condition for seeing Him both now and hereafter is holiness.

There is a definiteness here.  There is none of the compromise of the modern church.  Modern church thinking places emphasis on happiness.  God does not.  His standard is holiness.  The lack of holiness in lives brings into question whether many who call themselves Christian are born again.

Jesus was clear in His teaching that in order to know God we must be born again.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

St John chapter 3 verse 3

These words were spoken by Jesus to Nicodemus.  Jesus is clear in His teaching when He says “cannot see the kingdom of God” and in verse 5 when He says “ cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”  No compromise here and no exceptions.  This is where modern day Christianity is failing.

There is a lack of definiteness.

The standard is holiness in lives which have been born again and have had been brought into communication with God.

The opposite to holiness is sin.  There needs to be no compromise for it is not the traditions of men or the church but only the Word of God which can show us God’s standards.

These standards are a holy life which is only possible once sin, not in part but the whole has been destroyed  in the life of a sinner.

Let there be clarity that every one who is not born again and because of this cannot live a holy life will never see God and therefore will not go to be with Him when he or she leaves this world.  Why might you ask.  Again the answer is found in God’s word.

Not the words of the traditions of men but words spoken with authority because they come from God.

The earth was created perfectly with the first man Adam having fellowship with God and having dominion over the earth.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let him have dominion.

Genesis chapter 1 verse 26

All went well whilst Adam obeyed.  However, there was a created being who had been cast out of heaven who caused Adam to be disobedient to God.  Jesus knew all about this vile being.  Jesus said:

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightening fall from heaven.

St Luke chapter 10 verse 18

Adam sinned and because of his sin all since Adam are born with sin.  Satan robbed Adam of his rightful place.  The Word of God is clear that Satan is the god of this world.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of god, should shine unto them.

2 Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4

There is a perfect thread through God’s word.  Adam was created to rule the earth for God.  Satan a created being challenged God and was cast out of heaven.  Satan caused Adam to sin.  Instead of holiness being the nature of man this was replaced by sin and Satan took over control of the earth and in doing so has control of every man and woman born since Adam.  It is only when the sinful nature is replaced by the divine nature and holiness rather than sin is in control that men and women are restored to the original purpose of God.

There is only one way to bring about this restoration and that is through the finished work of Jesus.  It is the cleansing blood of Jesus which alone can cleanse from indwelling sin.  Sin has to be removed before holiness can come in the place of sin.

Sin not just a part but the whole is dealt with when faith trusts in the full sufficiency of the Atonement made on the cross.  This is the message according to God’s word which is rejected by the majority of what is called Christianity today.

Satan as the god of this world is a master at keeping the fallen race, that is everyone without exception, shut up to faith in Jesus.  Without a living faith whereby men and women are reconciled to God through the blood of Jesus and brought into communication with God then hell will be far more populated than heaven.

For those who have been born again there is the need to grow in the spiritual life.  Their spirits have been made alive as the once dead spirit is in communication with God.  Holiness of life is God’s standard.  The Word of God calls for purity of heart.  The need of today is for holiness of life.  The Holy Spirit is God’s means of bringing God’s standard of holiness and purity of life into the believer.

This is the work of entire sanctification whereby the once controlling power of sin having been  destroyed when the believer is born again is transformed into a life which shows forth the life of Jesus.

The Christian life is one which should bear nothing of the old sinful life.  How can it be anything but having a life which is full of holiness.  Not the teaching of the false church with its clinging to the fallen nature of man and allowing the keeping of parts of the old sinful life.

How could this be so for it is not scriptural.  Light cannot share with darkness.  Sin as has been shown is the direct opposite of holiness.  It is God’s standard of holiness alone which is acceptable to God.   Have you sought after God’s standard or are you still under the control of the god of this world?

2) BRIAN MASON MESSAGE 18 04 13

Not that I speak in respect of want:  for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Philippians chapter 4 verse 11

What a word we have here from Paul.   This is the Paul who was mightily used by God saying that he had learned this great lesson of contentment.  We do not know how long it took Paul to learn this lesson through the Holy Spirit’s teaching but this was something which was real to Paul as it reached every part of his life.  Paul goes on to expand on what contentment meant to him:

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Philippians chapter 4 verse 12

Whether to be abased or to abound, to be full or to be hungry did not matter to Paul.  He had been brought to the position whereby whatever the outward circumstances may have been he was inwardly content.

Contentment, what a word but also what a position to be in.  As Christians we are called upon to be different from unbelievers.  The unbeliever thinks in terms of the carnal mind which centres on the things which are seen rather than those which are not seen.

For the Christian it is the things of the Spirit which are not seen which hold the higher order.  As Christians contentment is not the product of good health or wealth but that dependent upon a new position whose secret is godliness.  Paul makes great emphasis on contentment when he says:

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

1 Timothy chapter 6 verse 6

There is no doubt in the mind of Paul that contentment is dependent upon godliness.  Now godliness can only come into the life of the believer.  It is foreign to the life of those who do not know Christ for their minds are carnal as they are centred upon earthly things and are held bound by the god of this world.  It is darkness, the darkness of lives where sin ensnares its captive prey which robs unbelievers of the quality of life which God wants to give them.

It is only when the light of the glorious gospel dawns upon a sinner that they are convicted of their sin.  Their sins have to be seen  as rebellion against the holiness of God  and the sinner to be so disturbed that they cry to God for mercy.  The sinner is so burdened by their sin that they will want nothing else but to have this burden removed.

Then will come  to the soul  the peace of God which can only come  when the weight  of sin is removed.  The repentant sinner will  accept that it is not through their own efforts but the finished work of Christ that they can receive the pardon of God.  It is God in Christ who reconciles sinners to Himself.

What a word is reconciliation as this is the reconciliation of the sinner with God.  Redemption as part of this full salvation of God is the blood of Jesus which was paid as the price to redeem the sinner from their sin.  Jesus was the sinner’s substitute.

He took the sinner’s place.  Let there be no doubt that once the sinner has repented and been forgiven he or she receives a new life.  This is the life where Christ comes to indwell through the Holy Spirit.

What a transformation then takes place for this is a full salvation which God provides.

There needs to be a clear understanding of this indwelling Christ.  It is a new life, for the Christian is a new creation.  Sin not in part but the whole has gone to the cross and has been forgiven and forgotten by God.  The former sinner has been pardoned.

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Hebrews chapter 10 verse 17

No more means no more no matter what the devil may try and substitute for real pardon. Pardon does not come from the mere externals and ceremonials of religion which are spiritually dead  and cannot bring  pardon as the life of God is not to be found within them.  It is only through God’s remedy for sin that of the precious atoning blood of the Lord Jesus which  brings pardon.  It is the discovery that it is not in doing which brings peace and contentment but belief in what Jesus did on the Cross of Calvary.

The Cross leads to life yet it is possible to have life without God-likeness.  Jesus spoke of the abundant life:

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

St John chapter 10 verse 10

Have you moved on from the Cross to the abundant life?  A life where the indwelling Christ so fills you with Himself that you are content whatever your outward circumstances maybe.  This is life which has godliness.  So many who call themselves Christian are so un-Christlike.

The reason for this is the carnal mind.  Lives which are godly are the need of our day for this alone brings contentment.  Let us believe that that the indwelling Christ living within in the person of the Holy Spirit brings into our hearts a contented God.

That contented God abiding in our hearts brings the benefits of His presence, these being contentment because we have lives which are holy and pure, lives  of peace and joy, lives which shine out as lights in a dark, dissatisfied world.

The light of godliness shining through Christians manifesting the abundant life of Christ is the direct opposite to the great difficulties within many nations.  Politicians seek to bring material solutions to what is spiritual.  Sins have brought moral bankruptcy.

The rejection of God by passing laws which are direct disobedience to the Bible has brought this moral bankruptcy.  Unless there is a return to the God of the Bible and the removal of these immoral laws then any nation defying the God of the Bible will remain not only morally bankrupt but will be under the judgement of God and not prosper.

Lord God raise up politicians  who know you and will put emphasis on the moral so that the material will come right.  The nation which puts God first will prosper for the word of God is there to be believed and acted upon.  May these words of Jesus be written on our hearts.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

St Matthew chapter 6 verse 33

3) BRIAN MASON MESSAGE ABOUT THE BAPTISM OF CLEANSING 25th. FEBRUARY 2013

Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart.

Psalm 24 verse 3 and 4

Are Christians today prepared to seek a baptism of cleansing in order that they can be fit vessels that God can use? Without this baptism they will remain filled with self rather than God for how can God work through those whose main concern is themselves rather than God.

The modern day Church has moved far from that brought into being at Pentecost. The Church today is insipid and lacks power for where is the unction of God? Yes there are still preachers with well constructed sermons but without unction that is all these sermons are as they will soon be forgotten as they make no impact.

Away with tickling peoples fancies and looking to entertain by saying what people want to hear, that which pampers the flesh and allows self to still be in control of the individuals life. This is the opposite to that declared by Paul to the early Christians.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans chapter 12 verse 1

No room for self here but a command from Paul for full surrender. None of self. All of the Holy Spirit as He is the only person on earth who can do the work of God but to do so he needs vessels who are wholly His. He needs to come in so self has to go out. What an opposite to the attitude of the Church today.

The thinking of men and women has in the main replaced the directing of the Holy Spirit. It is in the realm of God in which we need to move today and see the power of God restored within the Church. The Church here means not a physical building but those individuals who are the living stones who make up the body of Christ.

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1 Peter chapter 2 verse 5

The Christian is to offer spiritual sacrifices, not anything of the flesh. What is being manifested today in many churches and chapels is not spiritual. It is death for the life of the Holy Spirit is not there because the Holy Spirit has not been allowed into the lives of those who attend. The same can be levelled at those places which may be called Christian places of worship but seek to please the likes of those attending rather than having been crucified with Christ. When we see the holiness of God and the total corruption of human nature there can be only one place for our human nature and that is for every part of the old sinful life to go to the cross. Lord where is the deep conviction of sin which was so prevalent in both the early Church and great moves of the Holy Spirit in revivals?

What is absent today is the realisation of the character of God. Even within most of those who would call themselves Christian there is no conception of the holiness of God. If there was there would be no seeking after entertainment to draw or keep people. No there would be a people who had seen themselves as hell deserving sinners who by the mercy of God had been plucked as brands from the flames of hell. The modern day Church in the main is as far away from God as is possible as it serves as the agent of the devil in ushering so called Christians as much into the flames of hell as those who will not come to God.

There is only one God given way by which men and women can be saved from being cast into hell. O Lord let men and women today have the deep conviction of their sin and what the penalty of sin is should they refuse to repent of their sin. There is only one way, that of the cross. This is not a popular subject today. However, the words uttered by the only one who can forgive sinners and give them the assurance of eternal life are still as relevant today as when the Lord Jesus Christ declared them.

I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

St John chapter 14 verse 6

Have you come the God given way as an undeserving sinner. Have you cried to God is there mercy for me? That is what is absent today. May there be once again a realisation of the holiness of God together with the sinfulness of human nature. When this has been revealed by the Holy Spirit not only will sinners cry out in repentance but will want to be rid of every part of their corrupt human nature. Then the true Church will grow as those born again of the Spirit of God will want to surrender their whole life to the Holy Spirit as it will be seen what the character of God is like and no sacrifice will be too great in order to receive all that God has for those who love Him.

Only those who have clean hands and a pure heart, that is those whose lives are totally surrendered to the Holy Spirit and are not unclean because of sin and have no self interest will ascend into the hill of the Lord. The hill of the Lord for the Christian is to walk in the heavenly places. Only those that the Holy Spirit has dealt with to the bottom so that it is He and not them who lives through their body will know what it is to walk in these heavenly places. These are the portals of God, the place of holiness, the place where unction is received and the power of God is manifested through the Christian as the Lord Jesus Christ has been given the pre eminence.

4) BRIAN MASON MESSAGE - 14 03 13

And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

St Luke chapter 8 verse 48

What gracious words came from Jesus when He spoke to this dear woman. Not one word of criticism for reaching out and touching the hem of His garment. This is so different to the harshness of the world which is destructive rather than creative. God is in the business of restoration as He through Jesus looks to seek and to save that which is lost. What a lovely Jesus we see who reaches out to all who will reach out to Him. None of the rejection which is so common in the world. None of having to buy that which we really need in life. No in this wonderful person of Jesus we find God reaching out to all who will come to Him and not one is rejected who will come on God’s terms.

Great crowds were surrounding Jesus at the time this dear woman had come to seek Him. Jesus was almost being crushed in the crowd which was pressing Him on every side. Yet this woman was desperate in her need and would not be deterred in her seeking of the one person who she had heard about who she knew to be the one who could make her whole. This woman ignored the crowds and focused herself on being able to reach out and touch Jesus. She managed to get near enough to reach out and the instant she touched the hem of His garment she was healed.

This was a woman who had been brought to the end of herself. Extremity had caused her to act in a way she would probably never have done had her need not been so great. The pain of suffering an issue of blood for twelve years had been the driving force for her action. No one before had met her need. Instead all she went to amongst many physicians had failed to bring healing but instead had drained her money.

She had no one to turn to or help her struggle through life, for life had become almost impossible to her. That was until she had heard of Jesus. What reports she must have heard. Here was someone who lived for others and poured out Himself to meet the needs of others. Not a selfish thought with Jesus. For what uttered from Jesus on another occasion were the words of life, not of death.

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

St John chapter 10 verse 10

No half measures here but an abundance. Not a filling to the brim but an overflowing. Jesus is no skinflint or one who uses the world’s measures. Here is seen one who pours out His life in abundance to those who come to Him in faith. As soon as the woman touched Jesus she was instantaneously healed. Jesus knew virtue had gone out from Him to heal someone. He asked who it was whom had touched Him.

There was no condemnation in His words but a gentle enquiry as He knew that someone had come to Him in faith. Those in the crowd thought it a foolish question as this was a great crowd. Jesus was not concerned that someone had touched Him but that someone had touched Him in faith. Just one word but without faith it is impossible to please God. On another occasion Jesus spoke about faith in these words.

Have faith in God.

St Mark chapter 11 verse 22

This is not so much as faith in God but the faith of God as this accepts God as He is and that His word is true so that we reach out and act on the basis that it is impossible for God to fail no matter what is before our human eyes which says it cannot be done. Nothing is beyond our Jesus. He cannot fail for He is God and He created the heavens and the earth. The one who is the creator is the restorer and the healer.

Jesus knew someone had reached out in faith; a faith which could not be denied. When Jesus asked who had touched Him it was with an admiration that someone had recognised who He was and that He could make even human impossibilities to obey Him.

Nothing has changed today with Jesus. He is still the same Jesus waiting for those who will come to Him for restoration, healing or to receive all that God has to give to those who are hungry and thirsty for the deep things of God rather than accepting the watered down Christianity of the present day. Jesus is still calling for those who will launch out into the deep and through faith say whatever the mountain or seemingly impossible situation before us to be to be gone. It is the believer rather than Jesus that has changed.

It is being brought into line with Jesus rather than watering the Word down to our own level. Why can I be so confident that Jesus will still act today in response to faith. It is the Word of God which cannot lie. It has to be true. Will we be bold enough to take the word of God exactly to mean what it says because it cannot fail as it speaks of one who cannot fail. Have we fully grasped the significance of the following words?

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Hebrews chapter 13 verse 8

Let us reach out in faith no matter what is before us and accept that these words still have the same power today as they have ever had because of the one to whom they speak. This wonderful, glorious, Jesus is still there for us to reach out and touch. Have you reached out to Him for restoration to receive the forgiveness of sin? Have you come under the conviction of your sin and repented? Has your sin not in part but the whole been crucified?

For just as Jesus was crucified for your sin so your old sinful life needs to be crucified. All of it needs to be dead. You cannot still keep some of the old flesh life and be fully crucified. There can be no compromise as is seen in all but the remnant Church today. It is all of us crucified to be able to enter into all that Jesus has for us.

This is what Jesus means when we read another scripture for it is in scripture alone that we find the final authority of God. Not the words of man but the Words of the Almighty God. God declares:

Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate.

2 Corinthians chapter 6 verse 17

No separation, no holiness. No holiness, no seeing the greater works that Jesus spoke would be seen.

Let us be separated unto holiness, a people set apart for their God who through faith, that is, the faith of the Holy Spirit through them will not only see mighty deeds done in the name of Jesus but can enter into all that God has for those who believe all things are possible. In this place of faith we will know the height and depth of all the fullness of God which is found in Christ Jesus. He will not fail: He cannot fail.

5) Message 19th. March 2014

Changed into the same image from glory to glory

2 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 18

This verse speaks of beholding the Lord and of being changed until our lives reflect His glory. There is great cause to join with the apostle Paul in saying:

And without controversy great in the mystery of godliness

1 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16

And

Neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him

1 Corinthians chapter 2 verse 9

The deep things of God can only be understood by supernatural revelation. Although the deep things of God are clearly revealed in holy scripture, man is unable of himself to see that they are there, for this is foolishness to him.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned

1 Corinthians chapter 2 verse 14

Even the apostles walked in Christ as the way to the Father before they they knew Christ to be the way.

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

St John chapter 14 verse 5

It was not until the apostles saw the fulfilment of all that the Savior said that they could understand the following:

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you

St John chapter 14 verse 20

This transformation is the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who gives us fresh revelation of our position in Christ. All that is needed to live the Christian life has already been obtain for us by Christ. We are to take any new revelation of our position in Christ as a gift.  There is nothing we can do to obtain this ourselves for we cannot add to that which Christ has already obtained on our behalf. Most Christians can see and accept that it is in Christ that they are justified by a righteousness wrought out in Christ and imputed to us. “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21) This is the clear scriptural position of the believer.

That Christ has obtained our sanctification is no different to Him having obtained our righteousness.  Our nature and holiness is first produced in Christ then derived from Him to us. As this is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit we can then take this to ourselves. However, there are those who think that sanctification has to be produced anew in ourselves and formed by working this out in our own hearts by earnestly trying to mortify their corrupt nature, mastering their sinful lusts and pressing on their hearts motives to godliness. Scripture confirms our union with Christ. Everything we receive in the Christian life is from this union with Christ for he has already obtained all we need. “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” (1 Corinthians 1:30) May the Holy Spirit reveal through God’s Word our position in Christ so that we can receive all that He has already obtained for us. Then we will be changed to be in Christ’s image as we are brought into the fullness of fellowship with God. “Truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3)

6) Message: 02 April 2014

For the perfecting of the saints

Ephesians chapter 4 verse 12

Only God can perfect saints. These are not man made saints of marble or anything else artificial. These man made saints are not the means of making intercession to God as is the case with the false church. Saints are those who belong to Christ and have Christ dwelling within them by His Spirit.

There has been a deep spiritual experience whereby sin has been seen as that which is so abhorrent in the eyes of the holy Sovereign God that this has brought His wrath upon the sinner. God, though, in His judgement of sin provided the means of His mercy.

This is in the death of Christ on the cross when He became the sinner’s substitute. Whatever the teaching of the false church may say God says that sinners are justified by faith alone and that faith is in the atoning blood of the Son He sent to redeem sinners. “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)

Saints are those whose life has become new. The old life which was under the control of Satan is now under new ownership. Millions think that they are Christians yet in reality they are still under the control of Satan. You are quite entitled to ask why I should be putting forward what appears to be extreme. The Word of God gives the answer. “And you have he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the  prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.” (Ephesians 2:1-2) These verses speak of a total change. The sinner has been changed. He has a new life.

This is a life no longer under the control of Satan. On the basis of God’s Word those who have not had a life-changing encounter with Christ are still under the control of Satan who is a master of deception. He spreads his lies even through those who may claim to be ministers of the gospel yet are no such thing as they have never been born  again of God’s Spirit, never experienced deep heart-felt repentance and the cleansing of the blood of Christ. The old heart with its lusting after the attractions of the world and the flesh are still there for self is still on the throne and Christ is a word on the lips, not a Living person enthroned in the heart. God gave His promise for a new heart for He is the trans-planter of new hearts. “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)

The distinguishing mark of those who are Christ’s is that His life shines out of those who have become His. David cried unto God for a clean heart. “Create in me a clean heart.” (Psalm 51:10) Only Christ can make the heart clean by giving those who ask Him in faith His own heart. The pure heart of God living a pure life is God’s gift to all who seek Him. God’s first blessing has been that of justification by faith. The sinner then is pardoned from the guilt of sin. God’s second blessing is that of entire sanctification when again as a gift and received by faith is the receiving of the baptism with the Holy Spirit. On receiving the baptism with the Holy Spirit comes a clean heart, a heart set free from the power of sin. There will be no doubting whether this is so for on receipt there is an inner cleansing which can be felt.

Genuine saints in God’s eyes are those who are “partakers of the divine nature” (1 Peter 2:4) Saints belong to Christ as He is in them and they are in Him. Saints are all who have received the life of Christ and are the living stones of His Church now as this “is a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:5) It is the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Christ within those who are Christ’s on earth who makes intercession. Nothing to do with those who may be worshipping Christ in glory or those who refused to accept justification by faith alone in Christ who are in hell. Let us be aware too that God is the only one who can do His own work within the believer a work which Paul calls “the perfecting of the saints.” (Ephesians 4:12) God does not equip which is a worldly business term used by some Bible versions, He perfects, He does that which meets His own standards that of holiness of life, the life of Christ within those who are abandoned to all God’s will.

What is the great need of the Church of Jesus Christ today? This is for a return to holiness, a holiness which comes through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is the message to fill the void of a Church lacking reality. Holiness is God’s standard for the Church which is sadly missing today. Does not God’s Word say “Be ye holy for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16) Let us arise from slumber and come to God on His terms so that His glory fills His saints the body of Christ.

7) Message: 28th. May 2014

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

St Matthew chapter 21 verse 22

Gracious God your Son Jesus always started His day in prayer and depended upon yourself in prayer throughout the day. Jesus gave the example of the necessity of prayer.

O God when our blessed Savior and Lord was totally dependent upon prayer why do your people not take prayer seriously in these days? Can there be a greater privilege than to be able to speak with our Heavenly Father?

How our hearts are warmed with thy divine love as we listen and speak in communion with thyself.

Just to know that we can have fellowship with thyself by drawing aside to be alone with you or to keep in touch with you throughout the day with a quiet lifting of the heart to you.

Lord may the prayer of thy people be a sweet smelling Savor. Lord grant that there will be the desire by all thy people to come before thee in prayer and the prayer meeting to be taken seriously or one started should there not be one.

O God let thy people rediscover that Satan trembles when thy people are asking you in prayer in line with your will and believing that you will answer the prayer.

This prayer is asked only for the glory of our God as Jesus said whatsoever we ask we shall receive so this must be so. Amen.

Changed into the same image from glory to glory

2 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 18

This verse speaks of beholding the Lord and of being changed until our lives reflect His glory.
