The Cross

1) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8

Lord Jesus Christ may I always remember that it is by grace that I am saved and that this is by faith. There was nothing in me that merited anything from God only to know that to be saved is a gift of God. Lord Jesus you have shown the loving heart of the Father in that you the sinless one carried the sin of mankind in your own body on the cross. Lord Jesus thank you for the offering of your own blood once and for all as the only acceptable sacrifice for sin.

Lord Jesus praise you that you are no longer on the cross as is still seen in some churches but have risen from the dead and are alive for ever more. Blessed Lord let there be that realisation that you are risen, ascended and glorified. Lord Jesus so many who call themselves Christian do not progress beyond the cross in their thinking. Lord Jesus may those who do know what it is to be saved through faith seek to grow in the knowledge of yourself.

May there be a seeking after the righteousness of God. May there be a seeki ng after holiness. Lord may you find those who look to go beyond consecration and sanctification to have implicit confidence in God. Lord Jesus may you find those who will go all the way with yourself and settle for nothing less than to walk in heavenly places as they are prepared to give you your rightful place of pre eminence.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

2)  He is despised and rejected of men; A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: And we hid as it were our faces from him; He was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Isaiah chapter 53 verse 3

Lord Jesus Christ who else could the prophet Isaiah be describing but yourself. For you Jesus as God came from heaven’s glory into the world of your own creation but instead of being accepted you suffered the humiliation of being despised and rejected at the hands of wicked men.

Jesus what depth of sorrow and grief was yours as your love reached out to hell deserving sinners only to be cast back into your face. Jesus your love is still rejected by the majority of people today as faces are hid from you as few esteem you in their lives. Lord this is a terrible situation to know that each day sinners are dying without accepting you as Lord and Saviour.

Jesus your own word shows that you are the only way to God. The prospect in death for those who have not repented of their sin is to spend eternity in hell. Jesus the work of the Holy Ghost in bringing deep conviction of sin can no longer be evidenced in Britain. Lord Jesus in your mercy may the Holy Ghost intercede through your friend so that once more there is deep conviction of sin and sinners see themselves as hell deserving sinners.

Lord Jesus may there be a turning to see yourself as the crucified one pleading for sinners to become dead to sin and receive a new life, that of your own resurrection life. This prayer seeks only to restore the honour and glory which should be yours Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

3) But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon him; And with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah chapter 53 verse 5

Lord Jesus Christ can there ever be enough time either on earth or in heaven to thank you for so great salvation. God of God; very God of very God you are, yet you poured out your life in death so that we who were under the sentence of death through our sin could receive life, eternal life.

Lord you were wounded for our transgressions as it was my sin which caused you to walk that lonely road to Calvary. There was none other who could pay the price for sin as it could only be the blood of the divine which could reconcile sinners with a holy, righteous and pure God. May we never forget the cost to yourself as it was my sin which drove the nails into your hands and feet and the spear into your side. Jesus out of the compassion of your loving heart you drank every last drop of the cup of suffering as every last drop of blood drained from your holy body.

Through your suffering and death Lord you have made us whole for one look at the crucified one melts all our selfishness as we see ourselves as nothing in the light of the one who gave his all for us. By your death Lord you have brought us peace and healing is to be found in yourself. Jesus through death you conquered death and Satan. Lord you are Lord of life as you rose triumphant over death and have ascended into heaven to take your rightful place having all authority in heaven and upon earth.

Jesus it is because you are alive and have all power that we can place our whole trust in you no matter what life may bring for in you is found the answer to all our needs. Thank you Jesus for who you are and all you do when we are at rest in you for nothing can disturb our peace when we find that place of rest which is not of this world but is found in the God who loved us and gave his life for us. This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God. Amen.

4) 12 10 12

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Colossians chapter 1 verse 10

Lord Jesus Christ our hearts and voices should be lifted to you at all times to love you because you first loved us. Redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb is our cry for Lord you are the Lamb of God who was slain so that our sins could be forgiven.

Lord for those who have experienced forgiveness of their sins there is that change within as we receive a new life, your own resurrection life when we are born again. This day and every day may our prayers of thanks rise to thee blessed Lord and Saviour. Lord Jesus Christ once we have received the revelation of Calvary and that you endured the cross with its suffering and shame for each one of us there can be no turning back from following you. Lord we too can go no other way but the way of the cross for you said to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow you.

Yet Lord how your heart must grieve over many who call themselves Christian. Instead of following the way of the cross alone they have a religion which worships ot her gods beside you. Lord your word shows clearly that we are to walk worthy of the Lord, be fruitful in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God. How can this be when you are only considered to be one of a number of gods in a persons life.

Lord where this is the case please show that person Calvary with your suffering and shame that they will see that you and you alone are the only Saviour and way to God. This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God as Lord your honour is at stake when you are only acknowledged as one of many gods. Amen.

5) 13 10 12

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans chapter 12 verse 2

Lord Jesus Christ may our thoughts be centred on you for you loved us so much as to lay down your life for us. O what love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God. Lord Jesus can we ever stop thanking you? Surely not when we have come to a full realisation of who you are and what you have done and what you have become to us.

Lord what darkness you went through, what desolation, what agony. Can we grasp what it cost you to set us free from the penalty of sin. Lord Jesus keep all who know and love you ever under the shelter of your precious blood. May they have been so changed when they accepted you as Saviour and Lord that they want nothing in this world but the life which you give to all who are born again.

Blessed Jesus all who know the transforming life in you become dead to the world because the world does not want to know you. May each Christian seek to be transformed by the renewing of their mind so that they have a mind like your own. Take us Lord to this position of grace for only then can we prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God. This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God. Amen.

6)  17 10 12

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians chapter 3 verse 14

Lord Jesus Christ have the pre eminence at all times for you are the Lord of glory. No one has lived or loves like you for you are life and in you is perfect love. Lord may we always have before us that whilst we were yet sinners you died for us. Although not worthy of the least of your mercies yet daily you minister to the depths of our beings when we realise that in you and you alone can the human heart find full satisfaction.

What confidence is ours to know that when we know that the Holy Ghost is living His life within our bodies it is a life like your own had you still been on earth. O what a life Lord for it is a life poured out as a living sacrifice as it is life with you at its centre and laid down for others.

This is the Holy Ghost in the human body unfolding the mystery that we might know the revelation according to the will of God. Lord may we know fully a life where the flesh is brought into non-existence so that your life alone is seen and your presence felt wher ever we go. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

7)  19 10 12

(Of whom the world was not worthy: ) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

Hebrews chapter 11 verse 38

Lord Jesus Christ you are our peace. Through your shed blood you have reconciled us to the Father when we accepted that you are the one perfect sacrifice for sin. Praise you Lord Jesus that our spiritual eyes were opened when we saw we were sinners in need of a saviour and that saviour was none other than yourself. Lord Jesus in days gone by God’s people have been persecuted.

The world was not worthy of them as they wandered in deserts and mountains and wilderness and caves of the earth. Those who have passed on before us have worn such beautiful crowns in times of strain and stress. Even today, Lord, there is a great number of those who love you more than life itself who have been imprisoned or suffer other forms of persecution rather than deny yourself. Grant Lord that all who suffer for your name’s sake will daily receive tidal waves of blessing as the Holy Ghost has His way in their human bodies and produces an eternal work.

Lord may there be such a covering with the divine presence that these dear brothers and sisters will know a power burning in their very bones. Lord may these words of the hymn writer be upon all our hearts as we look to you alone.

Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Lovingkindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom,
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten,
Throughout Heav’n’s eternal days.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to our God. Amen.

8)  20 10 12

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? But ye have made it a den of thieves.

St Mark chapter 11 verse 17

Lord Jesus Christ just as you showed that the temple in Jerusalem should have been a house of prayer so may the body of the believer be the temple of God. O the power of your blood Jesus to cleanse from all sin and stain. May we who know you always be conscious that we have been bought with a price; that of your own blood. We have been bought and are no longer our own. O that this would be the case of all who call themselves Christian.

Sadly Lord this is not the case as so many are not prepared to pay the price of denying self and taking up the cross and following you. Lives are filled with those things which just as in the temple in Jerusalem are cluttered with other things which prevent you having you rightful place as Lord of every part of our lives. Lord on behalf of your Church throughout the world I confess that your Church in many lives is unsurrendered and worldly.

Dear blessed Lord shake us out of our complacency for it is as if many have never seen Calvary and its c ost to you. Lord open the hearts of those who say they are yours but their lives show no evidence of full commitment that you need not a part but the whole of their lives. Come Lord Jesus come and reign in the lives of your people so that you are given your rightful place. May all your Church join in with these words of the hymn writer.

Let me all Thy love accepting,
Love Thee, ever all my days;
Let me seek Thy kingdom only
And my life be to Thy praise;
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see.
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou Thyself hast set me free.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

9)  21 10 12

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

St John chapter 7 verse 38

Lord Jesus Christ you are worthy to be praised, worshipped and adored. When we see you as you are, the risen, ascended and glorified Christ you become the centre around which our lives revolve. What joy is ours to know that the very life of the risen Christ is in everything, moving us to do His will. Praise you, O God, for the thirst we have for you each day.

O the rejoicing that the thirst is of God, the desire is of God, the purpose is of God and the plan is of God. We are yours O God to be vessels of the Holy Ghost. In the world to meet the need; but not of the world or of its spirit. O to know your purpose, Lord, that it is God incarnate in humanity. We are partakers of the divine nature to manifest the life of Jesus to the world. As the words of this old Welsh hymn show dear Lord may we never forget what it cost you to reconcile sinners with a holy and righteous God.

On the mount of crucifixion,
Fountains opened deep and wide;
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
Poured incessant from above,
And Heav’n’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God. Amen.

10)  22 10 12

Thus saith the Lord GOD,

It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

Isaiah chapter 7 verse 7

Lord GOD you are the Almighty; you are I AM THAT I AM. In these last days you have spoken to us through your Son the Lord Jesus Christ in whom all the promises of God are yea and amen. Thank you Lord GOD that all who trust in Jesus for salvation and have been washed in His blood are accepted in the beloved. O to know your glorious purposes that Jew and Gentile will be one in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet Lord GOD just as shown through Isaiah when enemies of your people were intent in coming against Jerusalem there are still those in these last days who are intent on seeking to come against Jerusalem and the Jews. Lord God your word through Isaiah was emphatic as you made clear that the devices of the enemies of your people would not stand or come to pass. Lord GOD your word still applies today when it speaks of the return of the Messiah to Jerusalem.

You are the Lord who changes not and from everlasting to everlasting are GOD. Lord hear the threats of those intent on trying to destroy your purposes. Lord GOD this prayer is cast upon you to stand against this latest threat and to ensure that it does not come to pass. Our confidence is in you because your word states that for this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. In all things have the pre eminence blessed Lord Jesus Christ. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

11) 25 10 12

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Philippians chapter 3 verse 21

Lord Jesus Christ you have shown us the Father. You have reconciled sinners to the Father through the sacrifice of yourself on the cross. O the blood, the precious blood which Jesus you shed once and for all. O that sinners would avail themselves of the cleansing through your blood. Lord in your mercy may the Holy Spirit convict sinners of their sin for in these days there is no deep conviction of sin. When we see you as you are and have been born again of the Spirit of God we want more and more of yourself. Lord your Church has grown cold towards yourself. Awaken us Lord to be so filled with the Spirit; so hungry, so thirsty, that nothing will satisfy us but seeing you Lord Jesus.

Getting more thirsty every day, more dry every day, until the floods come, and you dear Lord pass by, ministering unto us and through us, the same life, the same inspiration that as you are so are we in the world. Lord let our bodies be so operated by the Spirit in the process of changing until we are like unto you. Great is this mystery of godliness. Lord may the plan of God for humanity be completed in the sons of God being manifested and the earth filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

12)  26 10 12

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

St John chapter 6 verse 29

Lord Jesus Christ blessed Lord and Saviour you are worthy to be worshipped, praised and adored. You have captured our hearts for you loved us so much as to die for our sins. Lord may we ever keep before us that your blood was shed for our sins for without the shedding of blood there could have been no forgiveness.  Thank you Lord that now forgiven when we have believed we are lost in wonder, love and praise as we have found all we need in life in yourself. Thank you Lord that nothing in the world glorifies God so much as simple rest of faith in what God’s Word says. Lord Jesus you said, “ My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”  Lord you saw the way the Father did the works; it was work of knowledge, faith based upon knowledge. Lord when we know you there are many promises to be laid hold of. What assurance we have to know that he that asketh receiveth; he that seeketh findeth and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. This prayer is to the honour of the name of our God. Amen.

13)  29 10 12

But Jesus answered them, my Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

St John chapter 5 verse 17

Lord Jesus Christ you are all in all for you gave your all for us. We were cut off from God, without hope because our sin had cut us off from a holy and righteous God. Thank you Lord that whilst we were yet sinners you laid your life down for the ungodly.  It was your blood and not any merits of our own which has brought so great salvation to whosoever will come and avail themselves of the God given way of reconciling sinners with God.  Praise you Jesus that although you died for sin you were raised for our justification. Lord you are alive for evermore. Because you are alive we who know you as Saviour and Lord are clothed and covered and hidden in you. The inner working of God is manifested for Jesus you said, “  My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.” We know, Lord, if we look back how God has taken us on. We have been pressed out beyond measure by the Spirit, as he brings us face to face with reality, the blessed Holy Spirit dwelling is us and manifesting the works.  O to know the sovereignty of God’s grace and the manifestation of His power. Lord may all Christians today realise that the Holy Spirit is in us to manifest the Christ of God.  Thank you Lord that this is the Spirit working in righteousness, bringing us to the place where all unbelief is dethroned and Christ is made head of the corner. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

14)  04 11 12

And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy ,holy, is the LORD of hosts: The whole earth is full of his glory.

Isaiah chapter 6 verse 3

Lord God may we see you in the light of your holiness for then life takes on a whole new meaning. Of ourselves we are nothing for our own righteousness is as a filthy rag in your sight. Lord pour out the Holy Spirit so that we receive a spirit of brokenness.

Where there are confessions to be made and put right melt the hardness of our hearts. Lord may your body the Church be prepared to weep their way to the cross and be identified with Jesus. O to know these words of Saint Paul each day, “ I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.”

Lord take everything from us so that your body the Church is able to say “ Standing by the cross, standing by the cross, we will help each other standing by the cross.” May the song of the redeemed on earth today be “ I will praise Him, I will praise Him, The Lamb for sinners slain, Give Him glory all ye people, He alone can wash away our sin.” This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

15)  08 11 12

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John chapter 1 verse 7

Lord Jesus Christ you are everything to all those who have seen what you have done for them on Calvary’s cross. O the blood, the precious blood it has been shed for me, for you, for all who will be cleansed from their sin through its all prevailing stream. Thank you blessed Lord and Saviour for you have loved us and given yourself for us. May we in return give our all to you. Praise you Jesus that you were manifested to destroy the works of the devil. There is no fear in you Jesus as the devil who will seek to torment by using fear has been defeated at Calvary’s cross.

How wonderful, how marvellous to know that God creates in our hearts such a love for you Jesus that we are living in a new realm for we are sons of God with power, filled with all the fulness of God. What assurance Lord to know that if our hearts condemn us not, we have confidence towards God, and whatsoever we ask we receive of Him, because He keeps His commandments and does those things that are pleasing in His sight. Hereby, Lord, we know that He abideth in us by the Spirit which He has given us. This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God. Amen.

16) But we preached Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness.

1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 23

Lord Jesus Christ may I always look to you in all your loveliness and beauty. Although the crucified Christ when you were despised and rejected it was for the joy which was set before you that you endured the cross with all its suffering and shame.

Jesus in days when the preaching of the cross is foolishness to many who call themselves Christian may I hold firm to the God given way of salvation and always preach Christ crucified. Jesus in a world which rejects you and increasingly rejects and despises those who follow you in full surrender as they obey your words to deny self and take up the cross and follow you, may I continue to be crucified with you.

Lord I give my all to you day by day even at the expense of being rejected by those who call themselves Christians who are not prepared to go the way of the cross in full surrender. Jesus as you suffered I too suffer but count it all joy to be able to say that you are my lovely Jesus. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to your holy name. Amen.

17)  05 03 13

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

2 Corinthians chapter 10 verse 4

Lord Jesus Christ you are Lord for the word of God declares that you are King of kings and Lord of lords. Your victory at Calvary was a complete victory as you triumphed over death and Satan. Your blood was shed once and for all and no other sacrifices need to be made in order to reconcile repentant sinners to a holy and righteous God.

Jesus you are worthy to be praised, worshipped and adored. You are a lovely Jesus to those who know you as Saviour and Lord. There are billions, though, who are still ensnared in the grips of the devil as they have not had the opportunity to hear that you are God and the only way to reconcile sinners with God. Yet, Lord, the weapons have been provided to pull down those strongholds which keep souls from coming to know you.

Weapons not of this world for these are the Bible and prayer in the Holy Spirit. What a combination Lord, that of the Holy Spirit praying through those who are His vessels, His own prayers using the Word of God. This Lord is walking in heavenly places for there is no carnality in a life like this, for there is no place for self or the flesh and human thinking which have been crucified and the Holy Spirit has free course to do all the will of the Father. Lord will you not at this time find those who will be prepared to be crucified with you so that they can become mighty through God to the pulling down of the strongholds which are still contesting the spread of the gospel to every creature.

O Lord raise up your army who walk in heavenly places to contest and overcome every principality and power of darkness which seeks to prevent you receiving the pre eminence in all things. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

18)  07 03 13

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 20

Lord Jesus Christ O that your Church would realise all that it has in yourself. How limited is our vision in these days when you are wanting to give far more than we are prepared to ask. Lord it is not that there are some promises of God in you but every single promise which is in the Word is in you for you are the Word.

Lord remove our limited vision which restricts what you are waiting to do. Instead let there be a realisation that you are more willing to give than we are to ask. As we see all that you have done at Calvary and that you are now seated at the right hand of the Father having all authority in heaven and on earth why are we so slow to come to you and let you do everything you are waiting to do. Are we prepared to say we are thirsty and will never be satisfied until we have all you have to give.

Not for ourselves, though, but for the kingdom of God for that is what our hearts should long to see on earth as we seek to see you Lord Jesus manifested in and through us. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

19)  12 03 13

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

Ephesians chapter 1 verse 3

Lord Jesus Christ all praise, honour, glory, power and blessing are yours by right for you have loved us and washed us from our sins in your own blood. O to know that we who know you as Saviour and Lord receive all spiritual blessings in yourself.

There is no other means to receiving your blessings for they cannot be bought or earned as they are not related to human ideas. Lord your blessings are spiritual and are brought only to those who are born again of the Holy Spirit. Not only spiritual but found only in heavenly places.

No wonder, Lord, few come to know the reality of these words of Saint Paul for how can the human mind comprehend that which is spiritual and not of earth. We have to come by faith to receive the promises of God, not by the wisdom of man but the wisdom of God. Lord, the Church is full of human thinking and human pride.

There is service through human ways but without the power of God. Instead of service, Lord, bring sacrifice, the sacrifice which is the way of the cross, the way of humility which submits to the Holy Spirit whereby we then enter into all the fullness of Christ.

Then, Lord, we lack nothing for we are filled with the Holy Spirit, able to worship in spirit and truth as we have entered into the heavenly places never wanting to return to the poverty of human ideas. How, Lord, do we know this to be true.

It is because you are God and it is impossible for God to fail to do that which he has spoken. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Amen.

20)  10 05 13

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Psalm 51 verse 10

Lord, O that I may continually have a clean heart and a right spirit.  Jesus, my Jesus, can I ever thank you enough for making my heart clean and my spirit right.  A right relationship with a righteous God through the cleansing of your precious blood.  Your own blood shed on the cross in order to pay the price for my sin.

My sins not in part but the whole all washed away through the precious stream.  Thank you Jesus that I was convicted to the core  to know of my sin.  When I repented of my sin there was cleansing and forgiveness in the blood.  Lord you have won my love, every last bit of it.

I shall never be able to thank you enough in time or eternity for removing my sins never to be remembered again.  Lord, today there has been a rejection of conviction of sin and therefore the necessity to repent of sin.  Lord, there is the belief that there is no longer a need to be cleansed through your precious blood to remove the sinners sin.

Sinners no longer accept they are sinners and need a Saviour.  Lord, what a lie conceived in hell in order to populate hell with unrepentant sinners.  Lord Jesus have mercy in these days of deception and call your servants who are filled with Holy Ghost power to fearlessly  proclaim like Saint Paul “ that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.”

Lord you died on Calvary’s cross, shedding every last drop of your blood in order to reconcile repentant sinners to a holy God.  Lord, remember your own words which said “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

Lord, it is Satan the father of lies who has birthed the lie that there is no longer the need to repent of sin and to be cleansed through your previous blood in order to be forgiven.  Lord Jesus, this time Satan has over reached himself to try and rob yourself of souls for whom you died.  Lord you and not Satan are to be given the pre eminence.

In these days of deception may the old rugged cross still retain the power to draw sinners to yourself.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the pre eminent Christ.  Amen.

21) 09 06 13

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

St John chapter 3 verse 3

Lord Jesus Christ these words which you spoke to Nicodemus are words of life for they are words which lead to you the only source of eternal life.  O blessed Jesus you laid down your life for your friends.  Lord you are the sinners only advocate for you alone made the one perfect sacrifice for sin.

Jesus you showed Nicodemus that it was not religion which he needed but life.  Your death has opened the way to life for all who will accept you as the only way to the Father.  Lord, your precious blood was shed for sinners and shed for me.  Complete cleansing , the only cleansing as you shed every last drop of your blood in order to reconcile repentant sinners with a holy God.

Lord Jesus when I saw Calvary and you on the cross I broke down at the foot of the cross.  You gave your life for me.  I could do nothing else but give my life to you.  Lord  bring to prominence once again this foundational truth of the new birth as the only way to God  so that  sinners are given the chance to repent lest they find themselves in the torments of hell forever.

This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God.  Amen.

22) Prayer 26 10 13

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Galatians chapter 6 verse 14

O Lord, the cross, your cross so central to our salvation, yet today so often rejected as it is no longer accepted as part of the Christian life.  Jesus why otherwise would you have died on Calvary’s cross had this not been spoken off through God’s Word and there have been some other way to redeem mankind from the punishment and guilt of sin.  Lord you were despised and rejected for the cross had only one outcome and that was death.

Yet Lord for the joy that was set before you the shame was accepted for you saw the glorious company of the redeemed surrounding your throne in Heaven, a people whose garments were spotless for they had been washed in your blood.  Those who reject your cross reject you for how can they know you without also being crucified so as to receive your resurrection life.  Lord death means separation from all that was known of the life prior to belonging to you, however, much of Christianity today does not want to speak of your cross let alone be crucified to the world.

Lord we have sinned in turning away from your cross.  In your mercy turn us again Lord to see you with your hands outstretched waiting for sinners to come to you the only redeemer, advocate and mediator between God and mankind.  This prayer seeks only to bring honor to the name of our God. Amen.

23)

Jesus wept

St John chapter 11 verse 35

Lord Jesus Christ no one understands mankind like you do for you came into the world of your own creation in order to reconcile sinners with a holy God.  Lord having laid your life down on Calvary’s cross you drank every last drop of man’s lost condition in order to restore that which had been lost through Adam’s sin.

O the blood, the precious blood shed for me, shed for all who will come to you for cleansing and forgiveness.  Jesus how you still weep today over those who reject the offer of forgiveness of their sin.  How you are still despised and rejected when you stand at the door of sinners lives and ask to come in only for you not to be seen or heard.

What rejoicing, though, in heaven when there is that response and a repentant heart asks is there mercy for me and they are snatched as a brand from the prospect of hell, that is, to be cut off from communication with God forever. Jesus when the sacred scenes of the cross are brought before us how can anyone reject your offer of forgiveness when all they have to do is repent.

Lord as you wept how can I do less than weep when I see you dying for me for it is as though you had died just for me.  This prayer seeks only to bring honour to the name of our God.  Amen.

24)  Prayer The Precious Blood - 01 11 14

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

1 Peter chapter 1 verse 19

Heavenly Father the Bible makes clear that sin cut mankind off from yourself. Without exception all have sinned and fallen short of your glory. No one whoever they are can justify themselves in order to have the weight of sin removed. All are lost, guilty and already condemned before a holy, righteous and pure God. All in their sinful condition are unable through anything they do can save themselves from being carried along the road which ends in hell, cut off from you Father for ever. Father although your righteous judgement demanded punishment of sin you had your own Son Jesus as the Lamb without blemish and without spot who alone could pay the price to bring forgiveness of sin.

The sinless Son of God who through His own blood can cleanse sinners from every weight of sin and make them right in the sight of God. Father in your mercy may the precious blood of Jesus be preached as your provision for repentant sinners to be made right with yourself. Father in days when the precious blood of Jesus is little spoken of may there be a re-emphasis of the precious blood of Jesus to make clear that it is only through the blood of Jesus that sin can be forgiven. This prayer seeks to bring glory to you Father for it is asked in the name above all other names that of your Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

25)  16 03 15

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

St. Matthew 27:46

Lord Jesus Christ you knew what it was to feel deserted when you had lost the smile of your Father when you were nailed to the cross. Your Father could not look upon you for you carried the sin of all sinners in your body as your life blood ebbed away and you experienced death, the sinner’s death. Lord you entered into death so that all who come to you as Saviour can receive life, eternal life for they receive your resurrection life.

In this light we can face what are great tragedies in life like the one at Lahore when many who had received your life were either killed or injured. Lord may your people look beyond this earthly life for we are a people of another Kingdom, that where there is life with yourself for evermore. Be with those who were injured and show them more and more of your life in them.

Lord pour in your balm into those who mourn. Lord even though what took place was to seek to discourage, seek to destroy your Church in Pakistan you promised that you will build your Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. Lord bring increase both in those who come to receive you as Saviour and Lord and in growth in the spiritual life in yourself. This prayer is asked in your victorious name for the glory of your Father. Amen.

26) Prayer : 02 04 15

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, saying, Father, if thou be willing remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

St. Luke 22:41-44

O God can we ever understand the cost to your beloved Son Jesus on that night of His betrayal? The cry from His heart is heard in our hearts as He faced the greatest battle this world has ever known. The battle of the ages when Satan tried to kill Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane to try and prevent Him going to die on Calvary’s cross. The cup was a bitter cup which only Jesus could drink from, the cup of the Divine accepting the sinner’s death. A cry of giving up His own will. A cry of seeking your help so great was the conflict, so overwhelming the powers of evil unleashed that night. What agony. What anguish the dear Lord Jesus faced. O God you heard the cry.

You saw the anguish. You sent an angel to strengthen Him. All because He knew and accepted that His hour had come, the hour when He set His face to the cross. O God may we who know that we have been saved by grace through the cleansing blood of Jesus go beyond the song which speaks of “a sinner saved by grace.” The sacrificial death of Jesus would have not been a complete work should when we have repented of sin and been cleansed by Jesus blood we are still to be looked upon as sinners.

Your word says “as far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” O God what blindness is put before your people. The repentant sinner is forgiven now and seen as never having sinned for Jesus now indwells those who have been cleansed by His blood and He does not live within lives who still have sin within them. O God open hearts to see and accept the finished work of Jesus through what He accepted to be done as your will in Gethsemane, Calvary and His glorious resurrection. Amen.

27) Prayer

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:2

Father  what a wonderful word is propitiation. Thy wrath has been covered. Thy wrath has been appeased. Peace has been made through the blood of thy beloved Son Jesus. Those who were once rebels as their sin demanded thy wrath in judgement can know that you sent your own Son to stand condemned before a Holy God and through His own death made the only acceptable peace offering in His own blood.

Father may you draw more sinners to Jesus to accept Him as Saviour that through repentance they too can be forgiven and receive the peace of God which passes all understanding. This prayer is for your glory alone and is asked in the name of Jesus. Amen.

28) Prayer  25 05 15

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for justification.

Romans 4:25

Father, what love, what manner of love has been freely given in your Son the Lord Jesus Christ. We were without hope, condemned because of our sins. There was one, though, who was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. A spotless Lamb whose blood alone could atone for sin. He who knew no sin was delivered for our offences. He alone died instead of us for our forgiveness.

As our substitute on the Cross He secured our forgiveness. On receiving Him into our lives through repentance of our sins He secures our deliverance over the power of sin. What a victory for this is Life. Sins forgiven and the person within to break the power which would try and retain the old sin nature. What deliverance, what cleansing. No wonder we are now the sons of God and we can come into all that the Father can now bestow upon us.

Father, Abba Father, this is truly worshipping you in spirit and in truth set apart as those who are yours and yours alone. May this prayer bring rejoicing to your heart for it seeks that as it is asked in the name of your Son Jesus Christ you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

29) 15 06 15 Prayer

PRAYER ON THE PERFECT OFFERING OF JESUS ON THE CROSS BRINGING FORGIVENESS AND DELIVERNCE FROM SIN THROUGH HIS BLOOD. ALSO TO LATER RECEIVE THE SANCTIFIED LIFE FOR ALL WHO WILL SEEK THIS SECOND BLESSING WHICH IS A FURTHER EXPERIENCE NEEDING TO BE ASKED FOR AS THIS DOES NOT COME AT CONVERSION.

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Hebrews 10:14

...

Father in this verse is given the full meaning of the reason your Son died on the cross. No other offering except the Divine blood could atone for sin. No other religion can provide a Saviour who has died for sinners or been raised again for their justification.

Not only died and been raised again to bring forgiveness to repentant sinners but to give deliverance from the power of sin too. Perfected also because when we have Christ living and reigning within us then we are sanctified. For how could this not be so when the Son of God who is sanctification is our life?

Father may this life of knowing forgiveness and having the victory over the power of sin in our daily lives become made known amongst the whole body of Chris so as to lead to fully sanctified lives.

This is asked for thy glory for it is asked in the name of Jesus Christ and on the solid rock of your Word which speaks of the Father being glorified in the Son. Amen.

30)  01 07 15

SUFFERING WITH HIM TO REIGN WITH HIM

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.
2 Timothy 2:12

...

Father God no one suffered more than your Son Jesus Christ for although God He was despised and rejected during His earthly ministry. In these days of shallowness of Christianity when the self-life is pampered to by those who call themselves your workers may there be a separation unto yourself.

A separation of those who will accept the way of the cross of which Jesus spoke when He said to take up our cross daily and follow Him. Not the way which is no different from the world as seen in much that calls itself Christian but the way of being despised and rejected.

For it is when we have the life and power of the Holy Spirit living a life like Jesus in and through us that dead religion will persecute us for it sees the power of God in us, a power which it wants but is not prepared to surrender its will absolutely to God. This prayer seeks only to bring glory to you Father for it is asked in the name above all other names that of your Son Jesus Christ so that you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

31)  01 07 15

Prayer on the glory of God.

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with lthe trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord,  saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever:  that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;  So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

2 Chronicles 5: 13-14

O Lord what praise and worship was offered unto you at the dedication of the temple. Praise and worship like none which had been offered before. All was in harmony and sought to give you the glory. O Lord how pleased you were that you came down in the cloud and the priests had to step aside as they could not minister. A day of days when your glory filled your house, a day never to be forgotten in the memories of all who were at the dedication.

O Lord may your people today realise that there is another temple, the temple of all those who belong to your Son, Jesus Christ, for each one is called upon to present their bodies as a living sacrifice to be indwelt by the Holy Spirit. O Lord please bring back the teaching which calls for the need for each one who belongs to Jesus Christ to give their bodies as a living sacrifice as this was the expected norm of the early Church.

Then, O Lord you will be worshipped in Spirit and truth just as Jesus had taught His disciples. This prayer is offered unto you in worship of your holiness and glory for it is made in the name higher than any other name that of your Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

32)  Blood of Jesus

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Acts of the Apostles 3:19

Heavenly Father in these last days cause thy people to be engaged in extravagant asking. Days when it is an offence to talk about the blood of Christ. Father the Holy Spirit will always deal with truth. Cause there to both an extravagance of praying and an extravagance of preaching in the Holy Spirit which defies the dead religion of these days. Prayer and preaching which dares to speak of the blood of Jesus as the means of cleansing repentant sinners from their sin.

Father stir up your people to go against the accepted norm and not only speak of the blood of Jesus and call sinners to repentance but also expose the lies of preachers who deny that there is a devil and deny that there is a hell. Blast these untruths out of the way and bring in preaching which dares to call sinners to repent and to have their sins washed away by the blood of Jesus.

Then, Father, according to your Word which you must honour, will come revival, for revival is the presence of the Lord in our midst. This prayer is for thy glory for it is with the expectation that your supernatural answers will again be seen in our midst for this is asked and received in the all- powerful name of your Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ so that you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

33) 28 07 15  The Blood of Jesus

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

Ephesians 1:7

Heavenly Father what a wonderful way you have provided through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. For redemption implies a restoration. That something forfeited is bought back. In the scriptures we see that God made man upright. God made man in His own image. Yet through the sin of the first Adam man forfeited this life of fellowship he had with his maker.

Heavenly Father by your grace you provided a second Adam in the person of your only begotten Son Jesus Christ who became the redeemer. He who through His own blood bought back that which had been forfeited. A restoration of fellowship with his maker.

Heavenly Father may this restoration go beyond that of fellowship in those who have come into this experience to that of a complete renewal to enable men and women to live according to the divine will.

This prayer is asked in the name of our redeemer your Son Jesus Christ so that Heavenly Father you will be glorified in the Son. Amen.

34) 20 11 15

The love of the cross

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

Romans 8:37

Father how your Word through Paul helps those who know you as their Father through your Son Jesus Christ to understand those things which might seem likely to separate them from the love of God. What joy, though, to be certain that nothing, no nothing, can separate the relationship between God and His sons here on earth. This is because the bedrock of the Christian faith as shown in your Word, the Bible, is the unmerited, fathomless marvel of the love of God exhibited on the Cross of Calvary. Because of this love we are more than conquerors in all of these things which Paul speaks of.

For we shall have a joy in every circumstance of life even when the very things look as if they are going to overwhelm us.  For your glory Father may each one of the royal priesthood of believers who belong to your Son Jesus Christ daily experience that they are more than conquerors through Him who loves them with His everlasting love. Amen.

  • The resurrection life of Jesus

Jesus answered them, do ye now believe?

St. John 16:31

Father the disciples of Jesus said that they believed that Jesus came from God. Jesus questioned them as to whether they did really believe. He knew that the time was coming when they would leave Him alone. May there be an understanding that not only the disciples left Him alone but also many Christian workers have left Jesus alone by going into work from a sense of duty or a sense of need which came from their own particular discernment.

Father in order to prevent this from happening may those who call themselves Christian know the resurrection life of Jesus within them so as to have intimate contact with God. For souls can be out of contact with God by leaning on their own religious understanding. Father as was seen in the dynamic lives of those in the early church who demonstrated the resurrection life of Jesus in daily living may this also be the same today in all who belong to Jesus. Instead of having a sense of duty may there be reliance on the resurrection life of Jesus so that we refer every situation in our lives to Him.

Father through Jesus Christ your Son this prayer is asked so that you shall receive all the glory due to your Holy name. Amen.

35)  14 12 15

The Cross

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace. that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:16

Father what an invitation there is here to come and not only to come once for it is to ever be in the throne room of our Father and our God. Mercy has been obtained at the mercy seat of your love when your Son Jesus Christ was shown individually to us that He took our hereditary sin to the cross when He became the only sin bearer who was acceptable to God. Other religions speak of sins.

Jesus dealt with the root cause of sins and through His atoning blood provided the way for repentant sinners to have their hereditary sin taken away and replaced with the life which God had given to Adam until Adam forfeited that life of communicating with God as a son to a Father. Sin dealt with and a new nature within the repentant sinner to be no longer condemned as the old sin nature has been replaced by the life of the Son of God. Now an heir of God through Jesus Christ, Father ever give those who are your sons the boldness to fully move into the life which is now theirs in Jesus Christ.

A life in Him that where He is so are they. As He is at your right hand so must they be also yet not of themselves as a separate person but through their union with Jesus Christ. Father ever give those who are your sons a boldness to claim their throne rights of prayer through Jesus Christ which will release such power in the Holy Spirit that blinded souls will be brought to repentance of their sin so that they too can come to the throne of grace.

This prayer is asked and received in boldness for it is brought to you Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

36)  Prayer - 22 AUGUST 2016

Christ Crucified

But we preach Christ crucified.

1 Corinthians 1:23

Father the vital message of Christ crucified is being rejected in these days. Another message about another Jesus is made which does not need the death of Jesus Christ.

The message of the other Jesus does not have the experience of the supernatural and the miraculous. For the message of the other Jesus does not cost the passion of God or dyed in the blood of the Lamb of God or stamped with the hall-mark of the Holy Spirit.  For there is not that of the false Jesus which causes men to look and say this is the work of God Almighty.

Father your honour is at stake when Christ crucified is not being preached. What are you going to do about restoring the message of Christ crucified?

This prayer is made through the name which you cannot deny that of your Son Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

The cross

Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree.

1 Peter 2:24

Father may the cross of Jesus be seen as the revelation of God’s judgement on sin. The cross was not the death of a martyr. It was the triumph by which the foundations of hell were shaken. What Jesus did on the cross switched the whole human race back into a right relationship with God.

Redemption became the basis of human life.

Jesus made a way for every son of man to get into communion with God. Father may the triumph of Jesus be outworked in the lives of millions of lost souls at this time so that they shall accept Jesus as their Saviour from sin and Lord of their life. This prayer is asked so that you shall be glorified in your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

08 05 17

His Life

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory?

St. Luke 24:26

Father may there be revelation in these days that the Cross of Jesus Christ is the gateway into His life. His resurrection means that He now has power to convey His life to all who will accept Him.

For when Jesus Christ is accepted rather than to be only followed then whoever is born again from above will receive from the risen Lord His very life.

Father this is asked through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

15 05 17 - Prayer

The Resurrection

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection.

Romans 6:5

Father by the revelation of the Holy Spirit be the acceptance that the proof that I have been through crucifixion with Jesus is that I have a decided likeness to Him. For it has been the incoming of the Spirit of Jesus into me which readjusted my personal life to God.

It is the resurrection of Jesus which gave Him the authority to impart the life of God to me and my experimental life has been constructed on the basis of His life. Father may this message be made known throughout the world that the resurrection life of Jesus is on the basis of His life which will show itself in holiness within those whom He lives. Father this is asked for your glory in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

12 02 18 - Prayer

God’s love

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

2 Peter 1:7

Lord help us to understand that although love is the sovereign preference of one person for another, spiritually it is Jesus who demands that that preference be for Himself. This is easy when the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

Jesus Christ then becomes first. Let us understand that God loved us not because we were lovable but because it was His nature to do so. Lord may the love of Jesus Christ ever be made known through us to those who as yet have not come to know your love.

This is asked through His name and for your glory. Amen.

24 06 19 Prayer

Atonement

“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

Job 42:10

Lord God self-centred prayer which wants to be right with God is not found in the New Testament.

For such prayer which tries to be right with God is a sign of rebelling against the Atonement.

No one can make him or herself right with God. The only way is to accept the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ as an absolute gift.

Lord God bring hearts to humble themselves by accepting this thy gift.

For in these days of self-righteousness there are those who may call themselves Christian yet have rebelled against the Atonement.

Amen.

01 07 19  Prayer

“Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”

St. Luke 24:39

O God thy Son the Lord Jesus Christ did truly rise from death according to the scriptures. He showed Himself both to His disciples and others confirming that He had taken again His body with flesh and bones.

This was to confirm all things appertaining to the perfection of Man’s nature; where-with He ascended into Heaven, and there sitteth until He returns to judge all Men at the last day. O God there have been and still are those who both claim to be serving Thee and have been ordained as Christian ministers who deny the bodily resurrection of thy Son who it is claimed was only raised as a spirit.

What are you going to do about this heresy and these wolves in sheep clothing?

Your honour and that of the finished work of your Son is at stake.

Wilt thou not remove from office those who do not agree to this fourth Anglican Article of Religion. to which they should have fully accepted and adhered too?

Amen.

Sin

“When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”

St. Luke 22:53

Father there is a lack of being reconciled to the fact of sin that produces all the disasters in life. When there is a refusal to agree with the fact of vice and self-seeking and something wrong in human beings there will be compromise when this strikes as you will say there is no use battling against it.

Have you allowed for the hour of darkness? In your friendships do you recognise the possibility of sin? If not there can compromise with sin. In the recognition of the fact of sin you will realise the danger.

Father allow those who are reconciled to you through the blood of your Son Jesus Christ be ever watchful of the dangers of compromising with sin.

Amen.

25 May 2020  Prayer

Why the Atonement is a needed doctrine.

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” St. John 15:4

Heavenly Father there is a lack of teaching on the atonement. For it is through the atonement that the Spirit of thy Son, Jesus is put into those who receive Him into their hearts.

From this beginning of being born again starts with patience the way of thinking that is exactly in accordance with my Lord.

For this is thinking like Jesus by bringing every thought into captivity to His obedience.

To ‘Abide in me’ is none other than to bring every area of human life into line with Jesus.

Heavenly Father this is asked for thy glory throughout the body of Christ, the Royal Priesthood of believers in these days of self-centredness rather than the Lord Jesus Christ being at the centre of each life.

Amen.

01 June 2020  Prayer

The total victory of the Lord Jesus Christ over the devil.

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:15

Glorious Lord Jesus Christ what a triumph you had over the principalities and powers of darkness.

Every satanic spirit, every satanic power was defeated by you and has to give way to the gospel going to every creature.

Nothing, not even Lucifer can prevent the truth of the atonement being known.

Thy blood was given for whosoever will come to be reconciled with the holiness of God and restored to the relationship for which man and woman were created.

Hallelujah the way is open for Thy return to gather Thine own body the church of those who are in Thee  without spot and blemish to the Father. Amen.
