The Word

of God

1)  Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.

Acts of the Apostles chapter 7 verse 33

Lord Jesus Christ the way of the cross and the acceptance of your shed blood as the only means of forgiveness of sin are not popular subjects today. Yet Lord to the believer they are words of life as through repentance and the cleansing of sin comes forgiveness and the entrance into eternal life.

Lord Jesus the popular way today is not to preach the gospel of life but rather a social gospel which has one end, that which terminates in hell, a place of finality with no escape, cut off from God forever. Lord Jesus whilst it is still day give your ministers who still hold firm to the gospel message as contained in the King James Authorised version of the Bible the opportunity to make known by every means to every creature the gospel message of repentance and cleansing through your blood. This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

2) 30 09 12

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; For he shall bear their iniquities.

 Isaiah chapter 53 verse 11

Lord Jesus Christ along with the hymn writer we can say “ there was no other good enough to pay the price of sin, He only could unlock the gate of heaven and let us in.” Jesus precious Saviour our hearts rejoice in you for you gave your life to redeem those who were under the curse of sin.

Lord how can we comprehend that on the cross you were made sin for us so as to destroy him who had the power of sin, that is the devil.  We shall never be able to understand the depths of your love for us in that whilst we were yet sinners you died for our sins. Lord only you could drink the bitter cup of the penalty of sin and die the just for the unjust. How easy it is Jesus to forget what it cost you so that we could be reconciled with a holy and righteous God.  May our hearts burn within us with a love for you which shall never grow cold. Lord Jesus you not only carried our iniquities but those also of every sinner. Lord there are millions of sinners who have not had the chance to hear of what you have done for them and to be able to repent and be forgiven so as to receive eternal life.

The Bible clearly states that you shall see of the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied. Lord this refers to you.  As the Bible is there to be believed and acted upon I ask that although the principalities and powers of darkness are doing their utmost to keep souls in Somalia, Syria, Iran and Afghanistan from coming to hear of you and in doing so the opportunity of having their sins forgiven I believe your Word to mean exactly what it says. The Word says clearly that you shall see of the travail of your soul, and shall be satisfied. Lord nothing could be more clear as this is a promise to be claimed.

Lord Jesus on Calvary’s cross you destroyed the devil and his principalities and powers of darkness.  Lord come and claim your own against all that in the natural would say it is not possible and bring souls out of darkness as they see you as God. Glory t o your shed blood Jesus for you are alive and reign for ever more.  This prayer seeks only to bring honour and glory to the name of our God. Amen.

3)  Prayer 04 05 15

Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: Thy blessing is upon Thy people.

Psalm 3:8

O God remember the work of The Society for Distributing Hebrew Scriptures. There are conferences to be held in Belfast, Worcester, Letchworth Garden City and Nottingham.

May thy Spirit rest upon these conferences and guide this work of distributing Hebrew Scriptures amongst the Jews. O God as the Scriptures are in various languages and also New Testaments available in Hebrew too in Hebrew-English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Romanian, Yiddish, German, Hungarian, Italian, and modern Hebrew may many souls be drawn by your Spirit to your Word in a language that they can understand.

O God open hearts to see Jesus as the Messiah through your Word for only your Spirit can open hearts which are at present do not know yourself. This prayer is asked for you and you alone to receive the glory due to your holy name. Amen.

4)  Prayer

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalm 119:105

Father your Word is light, your Word is life. How vital it is that all people groups have your Word in their own language. May your Word too be in a version which has your Son Jesus Christ as the eternal, co-equal Son of God and not as some versions which speak of Him as a son of the gods. May the Antioch line be used and not the Alexandrian line which is currently being used by most versions.

The Antioch line will then preserve the unchangeable Word of God. Father look upon those who take from your Word those verses which were included to speak of sin, the way of salvation, the cross, the blood of Jesus, hell and the devil amongst others and cause those who have done this to see that this defiles the inspired Word of the God. May your Word which is the way of salvation to everyone who believes become available to every people group.

This is asked in the name of your Son Jesus Christ that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

I5)  Prayer

Now The LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee.

Genesis 12:1

Almighty and Everlasting God how you tested your servant Abraham. He was challenged to forsake all and go to a different country, a place he knew nothing about a place where only faith in yourself could enable him to overcome all that would say to him it cannot be. O God what faith Abraham had in thee, a faith which could see that every obstacle in the way would be overcome.

Abraham proved you day by day and what we see in him is a fellowship with yourself which met all his need. He did not have to pray for himself as he had found that prayer is communion with yourself and the privilege of bringing the needs of others before a prayer hearing and a prayer answering God. O God what a contrast this is compared to today with its self-centred Christianity concerned with the self-life as witnessed by the constant cry of pray for me. Show us O God what is the true meaning of prayer. Just like Abraham our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ shows us that which pleases thee. He constantly spent time in fellowship with yourself and concentrated on the needs of others rather than looking at His own needs.

O God may the true understanding of prayer reach into the hearts of all who are yours in Christ Jesus so that the life of Christ Jesus can be shown through those whom He indwells. This prayer is for your glory and your glory alone for it is asked and received in Christ Jesus. Amen.

16)  12 08 15

  • The devil shall continually be put to flight.

Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

St. Matthew 3:2

O God what a cry was heard through the voice of your servant John the Baptist. The cry to ‘make straight the way of the Lord.’ The cry to repent. A cry so awful, so piercing that the whole land was moved. John who was without the food and clothing of his earthly father’s house only had a groan, a cry, the cry of the Spirit. A cry which brought a response for the banks of Jordan were covered, filled, for the conviction was tremendous.

O God what a response as sinners sought a change of life, a life purged of sin and a new purpose living for you and for others instead of themselves. O God the cry of this prayer is for the restoration of the cry which calls for sinners to repent of their sins. Call those who are hand-picked like John for this task as first the Holy Spirit works in them then through them for others. A people known of God, doing exploits, gripped by God. Then the enemy, the devil, will continually be put to flight.  O God may I be the answer to this prayer which is asked and in the name which is above all other names that of the Lord Jesus Christ so that you shall be glorified in the Son. Amen.

  • Devoted to Jesus Christ

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

St. John 20:28

Heavenly Father may your sons look at all times to satisfy your Son Jesus Christ. So often it is the other way round for instead of satisfying Him we look for Him to satisfy us. May, Father, there be a realisation that it is we who should be pouring out in spending ourselves to the last limit rather than drawing on Him to satisfy us. Father may those who have received Jesus Christ witness unto Him by lives which are uncompromising and outpouring devotion to Him which is a satisfaction to Him wherever He places us.

Keep us from anything which competes with our loyalty to Him especially the competitor of service for Him. Let us both know and accept that the one aim of the call of God is the satisfaction of God rather than a call to do something for Him. Father keep us from being more devoted to service than to your Son Jesus Christ. Take all the glory Father for this prayer is asked through the name of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

17) Prayer - 27 June 2016

The truths of the Bible

And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

St. John 8:32

O God how your heart weeps, how your heart yearns to turn the youth of both the United Kingdom and the United States of America to yourself. The one perfect sacrifice for sin was offered once and for all time through the atoning blood of your Son. Let thy Son see once again a mighty harvest of souls repenting of their sins and being cleansed through His precious blood. For He died and rose triumphant over sin and sickness and death. He lives so that each one of these young people can receive a pardon, can receive the life of God into their spirit, soul and body.

Young people who should be the ones on fire through the Holy Ghost and fire being their life to go into the harvest fields of the world with the Gospel. Yet Father there has been an enemy who has infiltrated the education system with the placing of other religions above the teaching of Biblical Christianity. Your Son is despised and rejected by those deciding on what is taught. The Bible is also often forbidden to be taken to places of learning by the young people. What a state of affairs has come and usurped the teaching of the Christianity which made these countries strong.

O God blow upon this rebellion which is against yourself and once more open the flood gates so that the youth can receive the truths of the Bible and come to know your Son Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. It is done for your glory for this has been asked and the answer received through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

18) 02 01 17  Prayer

The Word of God Increased

And the word of God increased.

Acts of the Apostles 6:7

Almighty and Everlasting God in the days of the early Church the Word of God was preached in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. In these days your servant has read about a competition to choose the sermon of the year and look to find the next great preacher.

O God what do you make of these ideas of human thinking? The preachers of the early church, men such as Peter and Stephen were filled with the Holy Spirit and fire. They spoke thy Word with authority as they brought to light the understanding of your Word.

The Word went out in power under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Word reached into hearts and convicted sinners of their sin. Sinners repented and numbers of those truly saved including priests were added to the Church. O God bring reality into the Church in these days to seek the old paths of the anointing of the Holy Spirit for preaching.

That settles it.

For this is asked and received through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord whom you will never deny for this is for your glory to be restored to the Church. Amen.

19)  04 09 17 PRAYER

Preach the word.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season.

2 Timothy 4:2

Heavenly Father thy word is our helper to understand your ways. The word season here does not refer to time but to believers. Each one is to be instant both in and out of season whether they feel like it or not.

For if only that which was felt like doing was done then some would never do anything.

Let us be honest before you for there are in the spiritual domain those who are unemployable for they are spiritually decrepit people who refuse to do anything unless they are supernaturally inspired. Heavenly Father may all of those who are in Jesus Christ and He in them show that they are rightly related to God by doing their best whether they feel inspired or not.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord this is asked Father for thy glory. Amen.

20)  29 01 18 PRAYER

A God-given vision.

Where there is no vision the people perish.

Proverbs 29:18

O God may there be a restoration of a vision of thyself in these days. For the vision has been hidden for too long. For when there is no vision the people perish. The church has and still is reckless by throwing off the restraints of thy Word and going into ways which are forbidden by thyself.

This is acting on the human initiative whilst rejecting both the restraints and guidance of the Holy Ghost. Help us O God to be your people with a God-given vision. The vision of perishing souls going to hell because of refusing to come into line with thyself.

May instead there be an expectancy for greater things than you have ever done.

This is asked through Jesus Christ our Lord who said ‘only believe.’ Amen

21)  22 01 18 PRAYER

Relationship with Jesus Christ.

Because thou hast kept the word of My patience.

Revelation 3:10

Father may your people see that God is aiming at something which each one cannot see. In order that each one may see your purpose you stretch and strain and bring to the place where the saint says “I cannot stand anymore.”

Even though you do not heed the cry and you go on stretching it is so your purpose alone is fulfilled. May each saint of yours here on earth now come to trust him or herself into your hands.

For this is then the out-working of the patience of faith through maintaining the relationship with Jesus Christ Himself. To thee Father this is asked for your glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

22)  10 04 18 PRAYER

Absolute truths of the Bible to be restored.

And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

St. Luke 24:51

Heavenly Father from the moment of the transfiguration we have no corresponding experience to the events in thy Son’s life. Up to the point of the transfiguration Jesus had exhibited the normal life of a man.

From the transfiguration onwards the events of Gethsemane, the Cross, the Resurrection and Ascension are unfamiliar to us. His Cross is the only way by which every member of the human race can enter into the life of God. By His Resurrection He alone has the right to give eternal life to any man.

By His Ascension He entered heaven and keeps the door open for sinners who repent of their sins to be able to come and live with you, Father. May these absolute truths of your Word as contained in the Bible be restored to preaching in these days of apostasy.

This is asked through your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, so that you Father shall be glorified through the Son. Amen.

23)  25 06 18 PRAYER

Restoration of Sound Bible doctrine

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”

Ephesians 4:14

O God this is a cry to Thee for the restoration of sound Bible doctrine. There have been are still are wicked evil spirits which deceive the church.  This has led to the denial of Thy Word, even the denial of the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grant boldness from the Holy Ghost in those whom He lives to stand firm for sound Bible doctrine.

For Thy glory this is asked and it is done through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

24)  07 03 21 PRAYER

Control in Everything

children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” St. Matthew 7:11

Heavenly Father Jesus laid down rules of conduct for those who have His Spirit. He urges the keeping of the mind to be filled with the notion of God’s control behind everything which means that the disciple must maintain an attitude of perfect trust and an eagerness to ask and to seek.

May this always be so that Heavenly Father you are glorified through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
